WOW!!! Stopped in and enjoyed every single thing without fear of being glutened. Cheese curds are probably my new fav with hot honey! The wings were decent but the seared tuna with sweet potato were fabulous. The drinks were all good too!
SO good! Been here twice in the past few months for dinner and enjoyed it both times. Good for groups, solo diners, couples, friends - everyone. And the way the restaurant is set up, larger groups are not bothersome. Service is nice and friendly. Full bar with good wine, beer menus and specialty cocktails; also mocktail menu. Easy to accommodate a lot of dietary restrictions without sacrificing food or flavor (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free).
We ordered a taco bar from the Bayside location for a family event with 45 people. It was a hit with all our guests. We put the final order in on a Monday, and the food was ready on time for pick up on Saturday. Staff took the time to show us how to set up the catering trays so everything stayed warm without burning. The food was on the mild side, which is what we needed for a large gathering. Have some hot sauce ready for spice loving guests. All main dishes were gluten free. Corn tortillas were packed separately from the flour tortillas. My only suggestion would be to label the salsas. We had a couple people doing tasting to figure it out. Overall, I would recommend Jose's Blue Sombrero for an informal event.
Service was great. Food, mediocre at best. Having celiac disease brought me to your restaurant for a celebration dinner with 6 others. The other 6 ate family style, I chose the gluten free Alfredo with chicken. The salad and appetizers were enjoyed. Then came my meal. Since all the others were between courses, I ate alone and was so extremely disappointed in the meal. Entirely bland, completely underwhelming. I didn’t eat 75% of my bowl. After I was done and so disappointed, their family style meal was served - again I watched them eat. Reviews were unanimous, Alfredo too bland, the stuffed shells and bolognese was good, lasagna fair. The amount of food served and boxed to take home was at least, if not more, than what was eaten at the table.
Horrible, disrespectful older man server. Arguing about how drinks are made. Waited 15 min to order food. Only went there to get gluten free fish fry because my wife is a celiac. This experience will make us NEVER go there again.
Wonderful selection of food and vegetarian options. Many wheat and gluten free options available. Their peanut sauce is addictive when paired with their fresh rolls.
We ordered a gluten free cheesecake because I have celiac disease. There apparently was a “mixup” and I ended up eating a regular cake made with flour. The owners just blamed the one who ordered it. They did not apologize but just hung up on me when I called to find out for sure if the gf cheesecake had cake at the bottom. VERY DISAPPOINTED
I had the pasta and meatballs they have gluten free options as well loved the sauce on my pasta meatballs were fresh and delicious. I get a takeout pizza as well really good and also gluten free. Safe to say I left feeling full!
Cutest little place!! As a gluten free girly I have tried multiple macarons through the years! Nothing compares to the giant raspberries and cream filled one here! (Can’t remember the actual name! 10/10 would recommend
Yes this place is expensive, but they have good sales, their meat department is excellent and their produce of course is gorgeous. I appreciate their selection of dairy free and gluten free products too. Their curbside pickup is like a well oiled machine, you check in online and they’re usually loading your car just a few moments after you get there, top notch shopping experience.
If you have a gluten allergy, don’t go here, they don’t follow the separate counter protocol and aren’t as careful as they should be.
Also, be prepared to wait as there are multiple employees but they rely on one person to do it all.
I really love the spicy Chorizo Loco, YUM! Mama's chilli is great too. Some of the others I have found to be a bit bland but overall I could eat the Chorizo every day forever :). Sometimes the front person isn't the most communicative or welcoming but still very nice. I would love either a gluten free bread option or a different option other than bread. They have given veggies but haven't been a big fan of what they provide, so I wish there were more bread substitute options or choice of veggies. Thanks!
I tried the combo plate and laulau plate. All the meats and sides were good. I prefer stuff a little more salted but there's hot chili and pink salt on the side of the laulau plate which helped everything. The coconut cake had a good flavor but was dry maybe because it is gluten free. Will try out their other desserts that looked good next time!
Had a great experience here. Service was excellent, and while the food was a bit overpriced for the fact that it was a bit bland, I like that they have such a wide range of options including the low calorie and gluten free options. The cheesecake is so yummy, and I also had a caramel macchiato that was delicious. The ambience was good because even though we were seated near people, our booth felt private enough.
This spot truly delivers on all fronts—fantastic food, stellar service, and an inviting atmosphere! 🌟 The decor is beautifully done, creating a warm and comfortable setting, and everything was spotless. 🏡✨
My parents tried the **Eggs Benedict** and the **hashbrowns with egg and steak**—absolutely delicious! 😋🥩🥚🥔 from this words ( I came along to enjoy the place) Each bite was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked.
The **customer service was top-notch**—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. 🙌💖
While I can't confirm it's celiac-friendly, I believe they can accommodate if you communicate your needs. 🍽️ If you're looking for a great breakfast spot, this one is worth checking out! 🥄☕ - I couldn't eat here because of my current diet and had already eaten.
Delicious (and safe) gluten free pizza options! I get some every time I visit Milwaukee. They also have gluten free garlic bread options (made with gf pizza crust)
Highly impressed & satisfied. All plant based with gluten free options. Very reasonable prices for such high quality food! The atmosphere is inviting& the seats are so comfortable! I would love a location at the East Side of Milwaukee! It'd also be cool if they sold merch like beanies or sweatshirt- definitely a new favorite!
Thank you for having gluten friendly crust! I enjoy that Mod has so many pizza toppings to choose from at no additional charge. It's a great deal and always hits the spot. They also offer dairy free cheese for those with a vegan lifestyle or lactose intolerance.
We ordered the cheese curds (for my partner) and the buratta and beets for myself (we came to try out brunch because I have celiac and the reviews and separate gluten free menu looked promising). Both of our appetizers were excellent in both flavor, texture and temperature.
For our brunch entrees my partner got the prime rib sandwich and I got the blackened perch & eggs with GF hash browns. The fish was cooked well but not well seasoned, eggs poached perfectly , but overall both breakfast entrees lacking in seasoning.
-the hash browns were disappointing, limp and not at all crisp, stale tasting and lacking flavor, very disheartening
-applesauce with the perch was salty and too acidic to be enjoyed
-our server was wonderful and provided prompt and courteous service but service from the kitchen was delayed and confused, forgetting an appetizer and also bringing out the wrong entrees and then also forgetting parts of order
-overall a disappointing first experience and in my honest opinion not worth $16-20 per breakfast entree, working in the culinary field myself I have a lot of respect for kitchen staff and I hope this constructive feedback can provide a better experience for others in the future
They definitely deserve more than 5 stars. I know how tricky it is to cook duck meat.. they have the best duck dish I've ever had, the aftertaste is amazing, not oily, not chewy. Escargot also the best. As a brie lover, I can't ask for the better. They have the best food here in Milwaukee for the fraction of the cost I would pay in NY. They could make everything gluten free as well!
Finally made it over for a visit. Tasty beers, including a good Gluten free beer selection from Alt Brewing for the Mrs. Loved the covered heated outdoor patio in the cold Wintry rain.
Update - TRGL is offering DIY pizza kits that are really fun. I tried both the sausage and pepperoni. I am not organized enough to keep these ingredients in my house so when a personal kit of dough, cheese, saice and toppings comes my way I'm delighted with the result. Thank you!
Healthy delicious food that I get to choose, ordered twice a week if I wish - options include soups, salads, vegetarian, meat entrees, gluten free and dairy free. I have options in my life and deliveries feel like a care package from a friend - don't forget the dessert!
We always love their tacos!!! So tasty. But if you call in an order weve gotten a diff order accidentally which is a little disappointing. I'm gluten free and asked for corn shells and they gave me one corn one FLOUR.. I even told them I CAN'T have flour so that was disappointing BUT the food was delicious!
The service there was actually amazing. My compatriot and I arrived in a rather silly mood and immediately started joking around with the staff, who rolled with it perfectly and suprised us with their quick wit. This is standard chain pizza fare, probably better than Dominoes and Little Ceasars but not as good as Papa John's. We ordered 2 medium pizzas for $12.99 which were ready in 8 minutes ( I do not know how that is possible apart from divination). Fast and excellent service at a low price. If you are looking for gluten free I would try Mod's or Papa Murphy's.
Food was pretty good! Chips and salsa flight was good. Yuca fries were ok, not much for seasoning on them and aoli was just ok. Steak tacos were pretty good. Rice was amazing, best I've had in a while!. Our server was great! Everything is marked for Gluten Free(almost whole menu) so far feeling good!
We have been long-time customers of this location, and my son has worked at others in the area. We have celiac in our family and have always been able to get the gf pizza on special for the $10 Tuesdays until today. I'm not paying $18 for a medium pizza when we always got them for the $10 price. We will drive farther from home to support a location that isn't trying to make more money off dietary issues.
We have had issues with this location in the past, but decided to give it another shot. The person taking our order did not know what the gluten free Mac n cheese was, but I believe she was new and someone helped her find it on the register. No big deal. After we ordered our food, we asked for two cups for water. They gave us the cups and then she charged us for two fountain drinks. We explained that we were only getting water and shouldn’t be charged for a fountain drink and she insisted that she had to charge us. I have gotten tap water at 100’s of restaurants over the years and this was the first time I was ever charged for it and I will not pay for it, so we just ended up leaving and went somewhere else. Surprised that Noodles is now charging for tap water and think it is a big mistake on their part.
Enjoyed the slightly sweet sauce, large pieces of fennel sausage. Their gluten free crust was appreciated and delicious as well. We were quoted an hour for delivery and received it in 35 minutes - very quick service!
