They didn’t earn the title of the best gluten free pizza in the world by accident — they truly do have some of the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! Plus they can also make all their dishes lactose free. I ordered a gf and lactose free pizza and it was fantastic. They even had gluten free bread for an appetizer. Will be going back any chance we get!
A 100% dedicated GF restaurant as well as a grab and go window available next to the restaurant! I got a turkey, brie, arugula and tomato sandwich on focaccia at the take away window and it was so delicious!! And huge!!!
First, let me say the food was amazing. Lots of normal and particularly gluten-free options for my wife. The restaurant was a very good size with an outdoor space despite the small curbside footprint. One thing that really turned me off about the attitude of the waiter; when asked if my wife and I could side side by side, the waiter said it wouldn’t be possible as we would need a 4 person table. Normally I’d agree, but showed up right at opening and the restaurant was empty and remainder virtually empty the entire time we were there. Not impressed.
A decent spot for a celiac trying to navigate eating out while traveling. Being handed an entirely separate and gluten free menu felt comforting after walking out of a restaurant who wouldn’t indicate which, if any, dishes were safe. The meal itself was good for being gluten free. I’m only a few months in to my diagnosis so I still compare to regular pastas and dishes which can be tough. I ordered the ravioli which was semi-bland but I still enjoyed it.
This was an outstanding way to start our day. Everything is gluten free, from pastries to bread. We enjoyed cappuccinos, breakfast pastries, and took sandwiches to go. I would come back again and again!!
The bakery has a seperate case for gluten free items- some pastries and mini sandwiches. I got 2 pastries and they asked if I would like any filling: you can get it plain, chocolate, pistachio, jam, etc. I got one chocolate and one pistachio. Both were delicious! Limited table space but I didn't have to wait too long for a seat.
Great quick lunch spot. Gluten free pizza, AIC certified. Also enjoyed the Greek salad and risotto. Nothing flashy but exactly what we were looking for.

I give 1 star because you can't give 0.
By phone I had explicitly asked if the gluten-free pizza dough was fresh, they told me yes, obviously the base was packaged of poor quality and the water was from the tap and hot with a strong chlorine flavour.
Really poor quality/price ratio. We will never go back again really bad experience
Excellent ice cream and sorbet selection, all of them gluten-free and delicious. They offer small ice-cream macarons and chocolates, gourmet cones and cups, and the option of gluten-free cones as well. Highly recommended!
Best Gelateria in Florence! I recently visited Carabè, a charming gelateria in Florence, and I can't stop raving about it! If you're a gelato lover or just looking to treat yourself to something extraordinary, this is the place to go.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality from the owner, who was not only kind but also clearly passionate about the art of making gelato and granita. The atmosphere was inviting, and the array of flavors on display was simply mesmerizing.
I had the pleasure of trying the Limone More Menta, a lemon, blackberry, and mint granita that was nothing short of incredible. The balance of flavors was perfect—refreshing, tangy, and bursting with freshness. I also indulged in the Spirit of Sicily, a citrus-flavored delight that captured the essence of the Mediterranean with every bite.
My friend sampled several gelato flavors, each one better than the last. The texture was creamy, and the flavors were vibrant and authentic, making it hard to choose a favorite. Definitely try the Ricotta and Pistachio!
Carabè is more than just a gelateria—it's an experience. The quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every scoop is evident, making it stand out as one of the best in Florence. Whether you're a local or a tourist, don't miss out on this hidden gem. Also, if you are gluten-free, vegan, or have other dietary restrictions, there are many options for you here! I'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Pleasant lunch break. The place is always very clean (even the bathrooms) and it feels like being in a movie, then the Piazza della Repubblica is a precious setting. Sicilian cannoli, good toast and sandwiches. For gluten-free they have good mini industrial brownies (too bad, from a place like this I expect a laboratory product, in Florence and the surrounding area there are several that deal with gluten-free, I'm confident in the future😊). Tea della Via del Tea, a Florentine company, I appreciated very much. Impeccable, kind and competent service; Marta took our order without writing anything down (we were 4 people with 8 different orders). Comfortable sofas, we were outside on the sidewalk.
Place located in a quiet area near the Strozzi Fallaci tramway. For a safe GLUTEN FREE lunch or dinner on the fly, I recommend it! The pockets were very good, the churros need improvement in my opinion. Unfortunately, the outdoor area is not very well kept, this ruined the experience a bit. But we are there on the quality-price ratio. I would recommend it, even for takeaway perhaps!
