AMAZING ♥️ Everything here is gluten free. Homemade pizza dough which I had to double check was actually gluten free because it was soooo good. Like THE best pizza I’ve ever eaten. To have a choice and not have to worry was incredible. Would eat here forever 🌟
Stay away.
Extremely long waiting times, almost an hour for two dishes, the lady rudely replied that she realized the place was full, I have seen really full places with minimal waiting times.
Totally inexperienced waiters who kept bringing the wrong dishes to the tables.
I ask for gluten-free pasta, I am told that there was a possibility of having a spaghetti as a format, I get a miserable plate of mezze penne. The other person with me gets the dish ordered 10 minutes after mine.
Supplement of €2.50 for gluten-free dishes, unfortunately in 2025 there are those who still don't know that we don't do it for fashion.
To be avoided.

Welcoming place with a view directly on the beach where you can contemplate the sea. The quality of the products is of a high level.
Since my husband is celiac, this place is a safe bet because it is certified.
Very kind staff and available to recommend dishes and wine.
Mrs. Roberta very professional and empathetic.
Quality/price ratio in line with the products used and the place.
I recommend.

Very delicious pizza with a beautiful view of the sea. They have a list of one of a kind pizzas along with the Italian classics. They also have gluten free pizza safe for celiacs. This was the best gluten free pizza we have had in Italy. Can’t recommend enough!
I returned to L’Antica Fortezza after learning that it had changed management… and I must say it was a more than positive surprise! The place has retained its charm, but the atmosphere is completely new, as is the completely revisited menu: rich, creative and built with a selection of fresh and local ingredients. There really is an embarrassment of choice for every type of palate.
A huge plus is the attention to dietary needs: I found gluten-free options well indicated and prepared with care. The selection of local craft beers is also really wide and interesting, perfect to accompany any type of dish.
Here you can come and eat whatever you want: fragrant pizza, light and crunchy fried foods, and above all fresh homemade pasta. Absolutely not to be missed are the paccheri, which are something exceptional: perfect consistency, rich toppings, and that genuine flavor that only pasta made with passion can give. Highly recommended!
As if that wasn't enough, they also prepare artisanal ice cream, made by them: tasty, creamy, and a truly excellent way to end the meal. And for those who love to share, the cutting boards are a spectacle: abundant, well-finished and very varied, ideal for an aperitif or as a convivial appetizer.
In short, L'Antica Fortezza has been able to reinvent itself in a big way: a new management that has brought passion, quality and a menu that manages to combine tradition and innovation. Absolutely worth trying!
Very nice place, there is a lot of variety of choice for eating, being celiac I asked the staff for advice, I ate really well and fair prices, qualified staff, waiting times a few minutes for eating, easy to reach in the center in front of the bus stop for the airport, I recommend it to everyone.
Exquisite food in a charming place. Attentive, efficient and friendly service.
There is a super delicious gluten-free pizza option (4 seasons). Excellent balacalao, lasagna and octopus. As a finishing touch to the homemade tiramisu.
We came here because we thought it was very good after reading the reviews. The ambience was not cozy: very bright lights, and boring. The waiters seemed like they were bored. The food… my boyfriend got a gluten free pasta that was not cooked properly. It was hard and difficult to eat. The seafood that came with the pasta was not fresh.
We were only happy for the local wine the waiter suggested.
Really delicious restaurant, as I have celiac disease I managed to find some really excellent options. Very kind staff, we had a misunderstanding about the dessert (things that happen) and they offered us the bitters, a very kind and appreciated gesture!
Nice place, but nothing more.
- Dishes: elaborate, good presentation, good quality, very little quantity. 3/4 options for celiacs.
- Service: good
- Unsuitable for children 0-3, absolutely unprepared. Only one high chair for 50+tables, not even a changing table, despite almost unlimited storage space.
- Prices: extremely high, not justified either by the view or the dishes
We found the place through a search for gluten free. The welcome and staff were very kind but for the appetizer which was a plate of mussels we waited almost an hour and not only us. Many customers were annoyed. A couple got up, paid what was due and left. We heard shouting and insults in another room or maybe it was the kitchen. The first course arrived almost immediately but we had ordered tagliolini with clams and a dish always with clams but without gluten and instead a single dish of short pasta without gluten with clams arrived. The bill was then increased not for just one dish but for two ... obviously We did not have the pasta redone as it was already midnight. We entered the place at 9.40pm and left after midnight. The quality of the food was not bad but never again in this place given the wait and the poor service in the courses. Place to be deleted and please put the supplement in the menu for gluten free and notify the customer if the pasta that was chosen is finished.
