A really lovely place to meet friends for a coffee. They also cater for a gluten free diet and are very careful about cross contamination. Food and drinks are delicious ans served by very helpful and friendly staff. My go to place when meeting with friends
Yummy food and great service. Choose your base, crepes, American Pancakes, omelette, savoury or sweet, gluten free ,vegan. Was able to choose high protein meal enabling me to stay on my eating plan whilst out. Gorgeous food and great service. Will definately be back
Great for gluten-free people, plenty of options! Portions could be a bit bigger. I was still hungry after the main with a side. I also like the fact that you can see the kcal on the menu and thereby make an informed choice!
'Bacon roll and a flat white, please.'
'Is that a sandwich or a brioche?'
'Umm,' looks at menu, which actually says bacon *butty*. 'Sandwich, please.'
'Brown or white bread?'
'Brown.'
'Gluten free?'
'No.'
'Any other allergies?'
'Is that back bacon?'
'Blue milk?'
'Full caffeine?'
Me: 'Is there any tomato sauce?'
Staff were very friendly, service was very quick.
But. The pie was lackluster. The crust was not good, it's apparently gluten free and seems to make a big difference.
The filling was great, but didn't make up for the crust. Thick and grainy crust which kind of hid the small quantity of filling inside....
The very handsome Alan was very attentive and helpful with my gluten free requirements, unfortunately no waffles but he did make me some lovely gf pancakes instead. My besty had a pistachio waffle which was delicious, beautiful interior with comfy seats, will definately visit again soon 😋

Came here spontaneously and was welcomed warmly and served very quickly. Karen was a very entertaining, chatty and informative server. Helped our friend with her Gluten Free options. What a treat to the company she was!
We had chicken fajitas. The chicken was a little bit overcooked but overall it wasn’t bad. My Husband ordered a gluten-free beer. It was the best he’s had on our travels. I think it was called the stinking hen. The best part of the whole experience was the Romanian waiter/owner not quite sure. He was entertaining the whole time taught us a lot of about the Romanian culture and general world history 👍good food and much laughter What else can you ask for while dining?
Used for the first time... Chosen as they cater for gluten free. Food was fine but problem with the order, chicken was forgotten in one of the dishes which was disappointing. To their credit was offered refund but opted for a discount for next time. Friendly staff and helpful, just need to focus a little more on the food element.

First time trying the gluten free fish and chips ,it was delicious and fantastic. Will definitely be coming again on my next visit.Love the interior and atmosphere too
☺️
Enjoyed a wonderful pizza from here last week finished with a sticky toffee pudding which was delicious! Also ordered a gluten free pizza too which was excellent. Going back tonight for more 😋
I have a gluten intolerance and they looked after me well to make sure the food I had was suitable. There are alot of things on the menu that are gluten free .
The waitress was very friendly and the music wasn't too loud so talking to my guest was easy as I require hearing assistance. The pizzas were awesome and a special mention about the gluten free base which was out of this world. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful eating experience 💗
Lovely food and staff. Ran out of gluten free Yorkshire puddings but the staff made a special effort and made me two! It was very much appreciated as I know dietary requirements can be a pain in the arse. Been here twice, would definitely recommend.
We'd booked to go to dinner next door to Red Dog Saloon and had called them twice to confirm they properly catered for a coeliac guest; were arrived to find out they really don't so came to your restaurant instead, already knowing Las Iguanas is very attentive and accommodating for this annoying disease. The staff were just delightful, and the food and drink, as usual, was lovely.
Please don't judge Totton by this Chippy. The standard portion of chips is the only size available at £3.20 at the time of my visit. The food is good but not special .The prices aren't family friendly. The staff here are famously miserable. If you want to eat in then this is your best choice. They offer gluten free days, which presumably is the day they change the oil? If you need to feed the family go to the Totton fish bar in the precinct. Not bad just not for me.
I have coeliac disease, so I miss all the beautiful food flavours and textures from my past.
I bought the chicken, ham and leek, gluten free pie...... Oh My ! The best GF pie ever. Thank you so much Pirate Pasties. You made me feel so happy X
I have to have gluten free we travel from Netley to get fish and chips as my daughter is just around the corner. Always lovely fish and chips and no reaction from eating them.
Great food, safe for gluten free diners with clear easy-to-access allergen guidance. Tasty cocktails - we didn't realise there was a 2 4 1, bonus! Service friendly and welcoming from Tabs and Francesco
Such a wonderful gem of a restaurant we found today. Recommend to us and so convenient for the theatre. Genuinely really tasty food and fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble. My Mum is coeliac and has also recently had some other dietary requirements but the staff were so helpful and could adapt anything as it's all made fresh. Offering GF break and also pasta. Will definitely go again. Highly recommend it
My partner and I had dinner here with my parents as the restaurant is ideally located just 5mins walk from Mayflower theatre. We always struggle to find a restaurant with plenty of options as my parents are vegetarian and celiac respectively but that was not a problem at La Tavernetta. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cosy and felt authentic and we all had a lovely experience. The owner took personally tended to our table and his service was so pleasant and charming, it was lovely to hear about the history of this family owned business. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality, reasonably priced meal (lunch or dinner) and we will definitely come again if in the area.

Amazing food at this place!
Had the delight of being served by Leah, she went above and beyond with my gluten allergy. She got all fresh food and clean utensils and was very knowledgeable on allergens and food in general. Her service was perfect, she was so polite and humorous.
The choice here for gluten free is AMAZING!! You can basically have everything.
Only negative I can state is they were extremely busy and all staff were working very hard, they seemed understaffed and stressed as they were non stop serving.
Having walked by this place quite a few times, always thought it was a takeaway but decided to visit. The food was pretty good. Really liked the chicken wings and the menu is marked up with allergens with was great for my Gluten Free requirements. I'd go back just for the wings.
The service was a little lacking. The staff were running around but there just wasn't enough of them. It took a while to order drinks, and the Corona was obviously end of the barrel.
5 stars just doesn't do this place justice!! Service incredible, food was amazing (compliments to Alice, the ribs and pork belly were phenomenal) and plenty of options to choose from for gluten allergies. This was our 2nd visit and been impressed both times, did somebody say brunch?? Thank you guys, see you soon.
Pre-theatre dinner, really good staff, front of house and chef who came out to chat, great food. Gluten free? No problem. All done in time for arrival at Mayflower
It gives me no pleasure to leave this review, but I feel I have to let other, potential customers know about our experience. The staff are new, having just taken over the business and are learning on the job. Unfortunately the food is very poor. I need a gluten free diet and ordered gf cod, gf pineapple fritter and gf mushrooms. The mushrooms were over cooked, the pineapple fritter whilst hot, the batted wasn't fully cooked through. The cod was inedible, the batter was so thick that it was raw in the middle, slimy and watery. My husband's cod was cold and mushy and the chips were overdone. It's such a shame as it used to be an excellent chippy. Hopefully it will improve but we won't be going back.
Casa Brasil in Southampton offers an authentic Brazilian dining experience that's not to be missed. The restaurant's rodizio-style service is the main attraction, with skilled Gauchos carving a variety of succulent meats directly at your table. From chorizo sausage to beef cuts and the popular cinnamon-dusted grilled pineapple, the selection is impressive.
Complementing the meats is an extensive buffet of hot and cold Brazilian dishes, ensuring a well-rounded meal. The all-you-can-eat format provides excellent value for money.
The restaurant's exceptional service, led by the charismatic manager Paulo, receives consistent praise. Staff are attentive and friendly, always ready with recommendations. Casa Brasil caters well to different dietary needs, including gluten-free options, and offers great deals for children.
With its high-quality food, energetic ambiance, and outstanding service, Casa Brasil Southampton delivers more than just a meal – it's a culinary adventure that will have you planning your next visit before you've even finished your caipirinhas.
Coffee very good ...gluten free cake option only brownies...I don't care how good they are - just offer me something else! Suggest polenta cake or Bakewell....there are so many naturally GF cakes that can be enjoyed by others. Far too noisy inside
Great restaurant for both gluten free and coeliac, they have a completely separate menu for coeliacs and take it very seriously. Incredible food. 4/5 for atmosphere as WiFi is bad.
Piggy's is nice little café with some okay food choices, the main down side to this place, is when they cook food on the premises, if it's a hot day, you tend to get over heated. I try and sit as close to the door as I can to avoid becoming too hot but it's not always available and each time I end up not getting a door seat, I over heat, since they have no air conditioning or anything to cool the eating area. The other down sides comes with the food quality for price, I paid for some Korean chicken and rice, the chicken was great, but the sauce they had it in was more then likely microwaved, It was incredibly hot, not spicy hot, but heat hot, the sort of heat you get from a microwave. The next issue with the dish was the rice, it was over cooked and almost the consistency of mush, It's not clear how they cooked the rice, but it wasn't good. something worth mentioning about the chicken, it wasn't that hot, the sauce had all the heat but the chicken was almost stone cold, really poor. The other food options are also not that great, they have really high prices for their food but quality doesn't match it, the only thing holding this review at 3 stars is the fact they are the only restaurant/café that enable mum to get a gluten free alternative in Woolston, for that reason alone we will keep going there but if a better option comes around, you can be sure we will move on, unless the quality and comfort improves.
