My first time eating here was over the weekend and I regret not eating here sooner. I have celiac disease and trying new restaurants is scary. When I mentioned that my food and our appetizers needed to be made gluten free, the waiter asked if it was due to celiac disease. I think my face went red from how excited I was. The fact he knew what celiac disease was made my anxiety melt away instantly. We got the pizza appetizer and I got the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. We also got the gluten free bread (which was soft and amazing)! It was the most delicious Italian food I have ever eaten. And it was gluten free!
I think this will be our new birthday, anniversary, celebration dining place. The food was amazing and my family loves Italian food. I am ecstatic that I have found a safe, delicious, and gluten free friendly Italian restaurant.
Love this place, this has become our "go to"! Our family members that are local took us here when our daughter was transferring to U of M and we must go back every time I visit. They have yummy gluten free options too! Highly recommended!
The have a separate gluten free menu. Let them know you have celiac disease and they will note it in the system. We eat here regularly and love having a safe option.
The first time I tried Seva in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I ordered the spicy green curry. While I'm not a vegetarian, I have a gluten allergy, so this dish was safe for me. I enjoyed it, but I felt it was missing some spices, so I added salt and pepper. My husband ordered the portabella caprese on a gluten-free bun. When the order arrived, we double-checked, and it turned out the bread was not gluten-free. We've had similar experiences at other restaurants, so we always ask twice. Since my husband and I often switch dishes to taste each other's food, we make sure everything is gluten-free. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to correct the order. Despite this hiccup, I still recommend Seva, especially if you're vegan, vegetarian, or have a gluten allergy. It's a safe place to eat.
We ordered a gluten free detroit style online, website experience was good. Service when we arrived was great. We have only had gluten free detroit style once before (not in Michigan 😂)and it was amazing so we were excited to find a place near us. The toppings were great we had picked out a Mediterranean. The crust, that was a different story. If someone is looking for a gluten crust I don't recommend this place. The toppings are so good tho that I feel like their regular pizza is probably delicious.
They label gluten free on your take out and understand what celiac is. They do make a claim that they can’t confirm 0% risk of cross contact but they take all precautions.
Service was great! Server was knowledgeable about gluten allergy concerns they walked me through the menu and the appropriate things that could be substituted so I could make a decision. There was more than just salad options. And they even had a dedicated fryer for French fries! I got a side of fries with my chicken and did not have any adverse reactions. I'd recommend when you make a reservation that you indicate any allergies they need to be aware of so they can be prepared and begin with that in mind. I would recommend them! Also it's not explicitly fancy, but definitely a snappy casual or higher kind of place. Plan accordingly!
First time here. Our server, Hoda, was very personable and knowledgeable about the gluten free options. She even brought out a sample of the sauce to make sure I liked it before ordering the chicken Sajee (Lebanese seared chicken). Oh, and it was fabulous!

This was my first time here. And, the service and food were great! I had the half slab of ribs with two sides (collards, rice and beans) and cornbread. Since I’m gluten free, I opted out on the cornbread and was offered to add an extra side to supplement. I went with half wet half dry on the ribs. Both tasted great, but I think I’m a fan of the wet. I had a few sauces to try and I loved the original and sweet. Another customer recommended that I try the vinegar sauce, and although I’m not a fan of it on my ribs, I loved it in my collard greens. I will definitely be back to try the brisket and pulled pork.
I’ve been coming to Ann Arbor for decades and I’m embarrassed to admit this is the time I have come here. Amazing vegan and gluten free dishes and desserts. We can’t wait to come back!
As a person with celiac disease this place is great for gluten free options. Dedicated fryer for the house made chips, excellent salsa you can tell is made fresh. The Shredded Beef and Chicken taste great, and the FLAN! Best I’ve ever had and I could come here for that alone. Great place
Food was great! Prices are so affordable and portions good. I Loved the tamales ! I got a pineapple and cheese tamale. The salsas were very flavorful. Staff very kind. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Very consistently good location over here. Always delivers a tasty burger with fresh onions, flavorful bacon and avocado. The burger patties also taste very high quality and are cooked perfectly. My only complaint would be that the burger juices can quickly turn the Gluten-Free bun into mush if not properly insulated. Perhaps putting lettuce under the patty to prevent the juices from pulverizing the bottom bun could help! Even still I will continue to order from this location!
Tyler was wonderful. We had to wait a while for someone to notice us. We were there during happy hour so I got a Margarita and my daughter got pretzel bites. They were very good as was their veggie burger.
I got a California Chicken with a lettuce bun. My side of fries was very small with mostly very overdone small ones.
My Chicken was very tough with no flavor. The guacamole was a tiny dollop on the lettuce.
Again Tyler was a Gem but regardless of the location, the food seems to be less than delicious. I have celiac and this is a safe place. It just hasn't been anywhere near delicious.
I have celiac disease and a dairy allergy and the gluten free menu is so refreshing and makes it so much easier to navigate! I’ve never been sick from eating here and I order from here roughly once a week! Always amazing!
Food is very ok. Service was horrible this time. We didn't get bread because we had 2 gluten free people in a party of 8, so the waitress thought we didn't want it even without asking. Also, 2 of the salads ordered did not have the avocado and egg as it said in the menu. Not even that they ran out of ingredients but they just plain out just didn't put some of the 2 main ingredients of the salad. We were there for a birthday and apparently get a free dessert. We asked for a candle and the staff said ok but no candle was brought. We thought they ran out of candles but we saw another party celebrating a birthday with the same dessert with a candle. We talked to the manager and they comped the dessert. Disappointed compared to my previous visit
Lovely mid-September late lunch at the 100% vegan street side cafe. Waiter recommended a customer favorite - the Reuben - which was delicious, especially the sauerkraut! He also brought me a complimentary sampler cup of Chana masala soup since it was my first time there. I could have had more - also delicious. Highly recommend and will come back! Lots of gluten free options too.

We did a pick up order and not that far from the place, and when we got there we had to wait like 3 more minutes, but the noodles were hot and fresh! Staff were pleasant and the noodles tasted amazing, probably one of the best! The Gluten free Mac and cheese was great! I would definitely consider this business!
The service and food quality was impeccable as always!
The server even went so far as to mark each item on the menu that was safe for me to eat, since I have a gluten allergy!
She had recommendations for substitutions and all the modifications ready to go, it was a great experience.
I was dying waiting for TAQ to reopen for the year! So glad they finally did so I could get the iconic nachos! Our server Nash was so kind and with my friend being gluten free and vegetarian she had a lot of questions but he was super helpful with that. I'd say it's priced pretty fairly for the quality and speed of the food. I spent less than I would've thought and had a delicious high quality meal with quick service. 10/10 recommend!
The atmosphere is nice and so are the ladies working there. I ordered the shrimp bruchetta which was sloppily drenched in a bland sauce w/ a long piece of hair on my cheese toast. The waitress and manager went above and beyond to attempt to rectify the situation....cooking staff obviously needs to wear hair nets. My co-woker ordered a gluten-free salad which wasn't and she had a reaction. I wouldn't return or recommend.
Excellent. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Honestly, the best meal I've eaten at a restaurant in years. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Their menu doesn't have clearly labeled gluten-free options, however, our server was very knowledgeable and told me what to steer clear of and what could be made gluten-free without issue.
My husband and I shared the Zuccini & Scallion Crepes appetizer and they were DELICIOUS. Seriously, we both said we could make a meal of those alone.
My husband ordered the Thai Peanut Noodles; excellent. The cilantro really made the flavor of the sauce stand out.
I had the Wasabi-Peppercorn Tenderloin. It was massively better than any steak I've had from a steak house in years.
For dessert we split the Chocolate-Passionfruit Mousse. It was light and the perfect balance of fresh & fruity and chocolate. Truly divine.
Hands down this place is worth treating yourself.
Waiter was: blatantly disregarding celiac needs, confused about allergies, irritated when asking about allergies or food modifications, didn't listen for orders. Menu was not as expansive as the East Lansing location either having no gluten free and vegan options for allergies. Waiter was rude about allergy needs and needing to modify items. Do not recommend this location.
Oh yum! Ordered takeout and it was nothing but delicious! Friendly staff and I’ll definitely be going back :) I always wish that chicken shawarma was gluten-free but it’s no fault of the restaurant. It’d be great to see more gluten free options on the menu!
It is hard to find a coffee place that has anything gluten-free. The Drip House has a variety to choose from. As someone with a gluten allergy, I really appreciate the choices.
This was my first time trying Taystee's. First off, the customer service was top notch. Everyone was soooo nice. All the workers there just gave off great vibes. Like, they were happy to be there whipping up food for their customers. Definitely hard to find these days. Will return to this location even though I have other Taystee's closer to home. 👍🏼
Lastly, I'm gluten free unfortunately so, eating out is usually frustrating. I saw they had bowls, it was late, and my family was starving. My queso bowl was SO GOOD! It was like a fajita salad but way better than what you're probably imagining.
I was staring at my husbands onion rings for so long, I swear, I could almost taste them. He said they were delicious! The toddler loved her nuggets and fries, too! Good to know I found a spot for some delicious quick eats! 😁

The short take is hillarysa market and Cafe is a gem way out by Speedway on Maple and Miller.
The long story is I wanted meat an thought a hamburger. But I'm gluten free so only certain places have been free buns etc. I knew Harissa was close to me so i went in bought three lovely lamb beef gluten-free meatballs on a bed of perfect saffron rice. as I enjoyed my meal I surrounded by beautiful handcrafted gift ideas and imported Delicacies. I think I might make this my regular Friday treat.
My book club has been meeting here, which is always wonderful. Tonight was our first time coming for dinner for a special date night. The food was excellent, from the tortilla chip flight to our fabulous entrees (the salmon and the cherry burger) to a delicious and unusual Indonesian dessert (pictured). Kaitlin took such good care of us. I especially appreciated her knowledge and attention to detail regarding my gluten free diet. We will definitely be back!
Food was delicious, even the naan, which is always the iffy thing at Indian restaurants, imo. The only thing I didn't like was that the muttar paneer was a little sweet. Lots of vegan and gluten free options.
This was the one and only time I'll ever come to this restaurant. This place is so ungodly overpriced, tack on a 4.95% service charge because of "inflation" and you're not walking out of there for less than $25 per person, not including drinks. My wife, brother-in-law, and I went for dinner last night and ordered a gluten free feta bread, a small chicago deep dish pizza, and a 1/2 gluten free sub with french fries and 3 waters and our bill was $91 BEFORE tip.
The food was absolutely mediocre and not worth the price. It felt like a mom and pop diner, the menu had too many items on it, and the taste just wasn't there.
And before anyone calls me cheap, I'm ABSOLUTELY willing to pay good money for a good meal, but this was far from a "good meal" for the price.

Came in on a Saturday around 7pm and was able to get a table easily. They have gluten free crackers for the spreads which was so nice. Service was great!
Met up with friends for brunch. I called ahead and made a reservation since there were 8 of us. Reservation was made very easily, the table was waiting for us when we arrived, Everything we ordered was really good. I have celiac and I was able to order the club sandwich with GF toast, which was so good, Everything was fresh. Everyone was very nice. We will definitely go back.
The gluten free crust was nice and sturdy. It held up the toppings well and tasted good. I appreciate that they allow you to get a half and half pizza to try different flavors. Very solid gluten free pizza place!
We had the best experience at Fire House Subs on Washtenaw Ave in Ann Arbor. My son has celiacs and the owner and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our allergy. They have a dedicated space where gluten-free sandwiches are made as well as all separate condiments. They were so friendly and understanding. We will definitely be back! We appreciate them!
Filet was over cooked but potatoes, broccolini and crème brûlée were amazing! Such cool history in the building. Worth a walk around inside and out! Nice gluten free option and well educated servers.
