I ordered the gluten-free pizza with pepperoni. Each topping on the gf pizza was pricey to add, so i just ordered one topping. The texture was fine. The taste was average. The service was sufficient. I probably wouldn't go there again.
In town with family and didn’t know if there was a place I could eat safely since I am gluten, dairy etc “free”. Found this place on a gluten free app and my family lovingly decided to try it out so I could join them in a meal. Had to do take out with time constraints in mind. Service was A+. Shocking and unexpected that EVERYONE loved their food. My mom was concerned about not eating “badly” while in town and she was so pleased. She even said that it was the best meal she has had in a long long while. Everything was absolutely delicious. Three of us had the same meal choice and we all devoured it.
No gluten free options as provided. Terrible wait staff... loud personal conversations, music playing had explicit language for all to hear! Chicken was dryer than our table. The cheese dog was just a sliced burnt hot dog with slices of processed american cheese. No windows! Sad service and food for the price!
Gathered at the charming Chelsea in New Bern, NC, we indulged in a delightful lunch with cousins, who made the scenic drive from Hampstead. Surrounded by laughter and catching up, we savored the gluten-free options, including the renowned shrimp and grits, which undoubtedly stole the show. Our waiter was so helpful in pointing out gf options like Brown Butter Barbecue Chicken (grilled). It was a cherished moment of connection over delicious food in a beautiful setting, creating memories to cherish for years to come.
Our server told us the kitchen said the French fries were ok for our gluten intolerance, but once we ate a few, we realized they had breading on them.
Also, a different server was talking and having a great time with friends sitting at the table behind us, until the floor manager came by to stop the socialization. Seems like the staff is young and not informed about service industry etiquette.
Other food was mediocre. The view here is what you come for, not the service or food.
There were good reviews and mentions of gluten free buns, so we tried this place for a Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, service was poor as was the food. I ordered fish tacos (hubs got the Cuban), I asked if they were on corn because I cannot have flour. Server came back to inform me they were corn/flour blend and just stood there. He didn't make any suggestions to what I could have or options. At this point I didn't have a menu in hand so, I just said can I have the salad with mahi on it. He didn't ask my dressing, so I assumed he would select the same one I ordered for my side salad with the tacos. We were one of only 3 tables in the restaurant when we ordered food. 25 minutes later, our food finally arrived. My salad was plain and flavorless with wilted lettuce, and instead of a piece of fish it was pieces...strange. I have never seen that and again at that price point-you've got to be kidding me, I expect a PIECE of fish. Dressing, not what I had ordered and also not much flavor (balsamic). My husband's cuban was TINY, had 1 sliver of a pickle, they completely forgot the cheese, and it had ~2 tablespoons of pulled pork. For an $18 sandwich, that is laughable. After waiting so long for the food we were starving and no one checked on us until we'd eaten the food. The server did knock $5 off when my husband said he was disappointed with the sandwich and it was missing cheese. Long story short, we have no reason to return.
We got carry out. Wings were OK. The quesaqilla was great, the pizza we ordered for the kids is not we got, supposed to be half pepperoni, it was all. The gluten free pizza is better than Kroger gf pizza. I had to cut it as it was not cut. The staff was friendly and busy. The dining room looked clean and nice. They have a bigger dinning area (picuture) and a smaller one. They had a sign up to be patient as they are understaffed. Good overall. Thanks
This is a very popular Italian restaurant. There is a wide selection of food choices. I am gluten sensitive so gf options are a must. I enjoyed gf pasta and meatballs that were very good. My wife also had the spaghetti and meatballs. Unfortunately, there are no safe bread or desert options.
My husband and I decide try a new place for lunch today and wow did we pick an awesome place! I was craving crab legs so we gave it a shot. I have celiacs and the menu was very well put together for me to see what I could eat. There were a lot of gluten free options. We got crab legs, Kabasa and potato’s. The prices were not bad either. Our server was Jenna and she was very helpful explaining what was gluten free and safe for me to eat. We will definitely be dining here again!
The food was great!
I had gluten free pancakes, eggs fried over easy, pork links, hashbrowns and coffee with cream that required no sweetener. Amber was very friendly and fast and a pleasure to interact with!
