The gluten-free flatbread was very good, and so was the entree: shrimp and grits. I had no real gripe with the service. The waitress was competent and attentive enough, but she wasn't very warm or welcoming - very different from what I am used to at one of my fav restaurants both in Memphis and in other locations where the chain is found.

The service was top notch, Grayson was our server and he was amazing if you can request him! My best friend has some gluten issues and he was able to sub out some of the sides to fit her needs. I ordered my meat medium rare and it was perfect. Honestly I thought the prices were fair for what you get it. We were suprised with champagne for celebrating my engagement and buying my wedding dress. I will be back again.

Hopdoddy is a solid 4 stars. Find your table before you order because they will want to know where you're sitting "so they know where to bring your food." It was awkward when I told the person taking my order that I had literally just walked through the door and had no clue where I was going to sit, so I was assigned a table instead. I don't remember this happening the previous time I was there, but I didn't care for it. On the plus side, they have gluten-free buns and good French fries!

We love Memphis pizza! The gluten free pizza is great. I have celiac and never get sick from cross contamination.

Wonderful atmosphere if you sit away from the bar. I found that area to be a little bit too busy and the lighting was harsh so I didn't particularly enjoy that aspect of the restaurant. The server was knowledgeable and did a really good job. However, their gluten free menu list doesn't match what's on the regular menu which made it more challenging to order. The food titles were different so we weren't exactly sure what we were ordering without assistance. Bar drinks were quite good; the lemoncello drink was great! Dessert was really excellent, so we did enjoy that. I would return again for another visit

Babalu East Memphis is not as loud as a Babalu Midtown, but it's still a little loud for a lot of conversation. However, the food is so good (and there are a lot of choices for us celiacs) that I go anyway, when I get a chance. I had a great glass of red sangria (made on site) and my companion had a yummy looking drink, but I forgot what it was. The service was good, and I especially enjoyed the new server who made the guacamole table side. Can't wait to go back!

Best strawberry cake ever. I want the whole cake. Went for family dinner with kids and in laws. This is the second time we have been this month. Both times everything was excellent. The kids get spaghetti and meatball which we always have left over pasta. My wife get gluten free pizza and I get the S5, both are always fresh and delicious. My father in law gets the Cuban which is huge and has a huge portion of fries. I almost for got we got the crawfish egg rolls, which were a 4/5 and in laws for deviled eggs which were a 2/5, they need more of a tang and are just kinda mayonnaise tasting with hot sauce and bacon. One other small complaint was there is nowhere to really sit with over 4 people unless they combine tables, so the original wait time is longer for larger than 4. Cocktails are also excellent and bar staff for great with providing lemon honey water for my kid who had been to the dentist that morning. Overall great experience this month.

My girlfriend and I came in two weeks ago and I have been meaning to leave a review since we ate. We got the fried oyster mushrooms, gluten free chicken sandwich, and a heat burger. We both agree this was the most delicious vegan comfort food we have had. They took their time and separately breaded the chicken and oyster mushrooms in a separate gluten free flour for my girlfriend because she has celiacs. It was all very delicious and the service was very kind and helpful as well. I do not live near here so stopping by was a pleasant treat.

Visiting Memphis, great spot not too far. On the fancier side and it’s expensive for the area but it’s worth it. Fantastic dinners. Not many appetizer options for gluten free but there are plenty of entrees that are safe for celiacs!! Have had very kind and helpful servers each time I’ve been here. First time I tried the swordfish (INCREDIBLE) and the second time here I had the Maine lobster ravioli dish (also very good). The oysters are fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the Chilean sea bass both times. It was good enough to order it again the next time we went so that’s a testament to the dish in itself. They worked with us on making sure there would be something that was GF and they were great all around. Recently had Jackson and he was a sweetie pie. Also the the little rose on each table is a nice touch. There is a dress code. Business casual and they have valet. Great spot to catch the sunset on the water. Favorite in the Memphis area, for sure!!
