I have never been treated so bad at a restaurant. My family and I have been going here for a very long time and absolutely love the food and when my oldest daughter went today to order her and I a sandwich the staff had made a mistake and put bread on my gluten-free burger. my daughter went in with me on the phone and simply asked them if they could remake it and at first they said oh no, we'll just give you a lettuce wrap to put around it. we'll take the bread off and I had to explain to them that it is now contaminated with gluten.
the front end staff argued with me for a while and told me I would have to pay for a new burger in order to have this contaminated Burger remade.
the owner got on the phone with me and told me that he will do it only this one time and he was very rude to me and made me feel completely stupid.
my oldest sister stood there and watched them remake the burger nervous that maybe they would spit in it.
I just couldn't believe that even though I tried to explain to them that there's no possible way I can just take the bread off my allergy to live and makes my throat tight and they did not care.
the final thing that the owner said to me was it's not like we can resell this burger and this cost me money and so you're going to have to pay to have this or remade.
I bet you. he spends about $3 to make that burger and he just lost a customer that he's had for a very long time and mind you my family spends $145 every time that we go there and we go every Friday night.
all of this over the fact that his staff members had put bread on my gluten-free burger and that he felt I should have to pay for a whole new burger because I couldn't have gluten even though the receipt clearly shows that I ordered a Celiac gluten-free burger lettuce wrapped.
it's very sad that we're not even able to go back here anymore. this was my kids's favorite place.
I am gluten free and dairy free. They have a few options for me. I got the shrimp meal. It was good. But their margaritas and drinks are amazing! They have an amazing selection of cocktail drinks. The service is great! Love the atmosphere, it feels modern and fancy, but you don’t have to dress fancy.

The best burger (and gluten free gf burger) I've ever had. Every bite is transcendent. I even tried their breakfast sandwich gluten free this week, excellent of course.
My husband was brought the wrong food. I ordered a gluten free burger and a house salad w/out croutons. Came with croutons and no ranch. The Gluten free bun basically disintegrated. It wasn't very busy. Lots of open tables open. Our drinks were never refilled. The tables are super sticky. That made the rest of our experience even worse. $60 for fish and chips, a burger and a house salad was not worth it. I wish I would have stayed home and cooked my own meal. This isn't my first time eating there. However, it will be my last.
Visited on Halloween and had an exceptional experience. Enjoyed the Lobster Roll with Fries, Beet Salad, and non-alcoholic Headless Horseman. The music was Halloween themed and the perfect audio addition to the fog over the water.
This was my second time here since the remodel and have also ordered the Grilled Lobster. Great gluten free options and consistent amazing service can be found here. Free onsite parking available. Indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating. Reservations highly recommended.
Primo Grill is a very classy, yet relaxed restaurant. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the place. We were greeted right away. We had a reservation but I did see that people could walk-in and get sat as well. They offer gluten-free noodles and I highly recommend the shrimp scampi with those noodles (PHENOMENAL)! The service was incredible. If you save room for dessert, the bourbon chocolate cake is where it’s at (also gluten free and delicious). Overall a truly great experience and definitely worth the stop. Fair warning - dishes are $17 or so and up but still worth it in my opinion. This would be the perfect place for a date. As far as parking, they don’t have a designated parking lot but there is parking available on the street around the building and surrounding area.
I've been coming here for years and it's hands down my favorite restaurant in Tacoma. I can't have dairy or gluten and I've never had any problems with eating here. The food is awesome and reasonably priced, you get a lot for what you pay for and it's delicious. The staff are also super nice.
Wanted a milkshake and fries - very happy I ended up with a burger too!
Gluten free bread available.
Fluffy milkshake, hand cut fries, great people too
This was my wife and I’s first experience with Taco Time when we vacationed in the state a couple of weeks ago. Taco Time composts everything they give you so you leave without trashing up the planet. We’re both vegetarians and I was diagnosed with Celiac last fall and the friendly staff couldn’t have been more helpful in guiding us through options that worked for us. I had the Baja Taco Pinto Beans both times and they were fresh, flavorful and you have to order the Tater fries. Anyone who’s lived with Del Taco or Taco Time knows potatoes and Mexi-inspired food go perfect together! I looked the company up and they seem to treat their employees well with 401k and more. You can tell folks don’t hate working here like they do at Taco Bell. Support Taco Time when you’re down for high quality food for an affordable price in the PNW.
It’s been awhile to go there but an old favorite. Almost everything is gluten free naturally (except the Naan bread, and possibly a few other items). Very knowledgeable on gluten free items. Chicken Marcella (sp.?) was great as was the lamb. The owner is very personable and came table side to discuss the dishes. Service was superb, her name was Massa-hen (I think, but don’t know how to spell it). She was very friendly and attentive. Very good Chai tea and the spices were full but not overpowering. I got a 2 star heat and it was just perfect for me. Will probably be on our weekly rotation from now on!
Look the food was decent and the wait staff was great. With that said, I probably will not be back. It was comical how awful the gluten-free bun was here. Two bites in and it had completely disintegrated around my fingers and I was left holding bun crumbs and my chicken grilled patty on one side and pickles on the other. It was lunch time but the place was not very crowded at first glance. You walk in in the kitchens on your right and some seating on the left. The bar is in the back and that seems to be where everybody prefers to sit but it's out of sight from the door and I wondered slowly to the back before I realized who was even working there other than the people in the kitchen. It was just confusing not knowing or being able to see where anybody was from the door. Lastly, they upcharge for everything. Getting a side salad instead of fries was an upcharge Even though the fries have gluten on them. The bun was enough charge which I'm used to but then paying for a credit card was also an upcharge of 4%.
My first time here was to try their gluten free pizza crust, as a good one can be hard to find. Unlike most pizza places which utilize frozen premade gluten free crusts, this was created from dough and I watched it rolled out in front of me. It was delicious and something you don’t get from other GF crusts- fluffy and doughy. Just what I like. I’ve tried it a few times since, it seems to have been made with extremely little care or effort. The crust was pressed down flat all over- no fluffy parts. In two places across from each other, it appeared to be rolled out and flattened down completely with the edges burned black. The next time, the edges were thickly burned like charcoal briquettes and a large portion would have been inedible. It also would have likely impacted the taste of the entire pizza. When I picked it up, I asked “would you eat that”, and they could not reply in good conscience. The next time I ordered, I specifically asked for the crust to be “fluffy” and it was decent, but not as good as the first pizza. I’ve probably ordered once or twice in between and make this request, but most people creating it don’t seem to make an effort. Today, I picked up my order, and I will have to remove at least half the crusts as they are black, inedible and completely charred. I was told “that’s what happens to the gluten free” when it cooks. Well, maybe if it were thicker, it wouldn’t-? Or if there were more care taken during the preparation process or cooking process, it wouldn’t burn-? Would a restaurant expect a customer to eat or pay for an inedible item if it were not gluten free? It’s unreasonable. I regret paying.
Very underwhelming. I went in @730pm on a Sunday. Asked to order a Margarita pizza with pepperoni to go. They let me know they ran out of regular dough but had gluten free. Not an issue for me but odd. I was not told they would up charge me for the gluten free dough. Which they shouldn’t have. My one pizza totaled $18.73 before tip. This made sense now why the couple in front of me didn’t order pizza.
So I’m assuming dough is frozen. What restaurant isn’t able to make more dough? It's flour, salt, yeast and water. The pizza came out quick but with hardly anything on it. It was about 9 inches in size which is perfect for one person. But barely covered with sauce, mozzarella or pepperoni. I moved everything to one side to fully cover the dough. Only ate that half. See the photo included. I am bummed with this experience. I was so eager to finally find a great place in Tacoma for pizza. More toppings to fully cover the pizza and not paying for the restaurants lack of ingredients to make dough would have gone a long way.
Tom Ka Gai is excellent. Best thing if your stomach is a little queasy or for the day after a party. Skittle rice and some Tom Ka is awesome. Gain means chicken so I get it with tofu instead, Ton Ka Tofu= Yum! Green curry, Penang curry are excellent. The eggplant tofu is good but it does have gluten in it.
Delicious food, crazy yummy cider, wine and beer selection (and espresso drinks!) These folks really care. I ordered enchiladas, assuming they would be corn tortillas (I have gluten issues). They worked with me to make an AMAZING salad wulith the same ingredients and a side of corn tortillas. I love these folks!
