Great lunch for two kids and two adults (two with Celiac). Almost entirely GF menu with GF buns and bread available. Mac n cheese, fries and salads were all great!

My celiac daughter and I always eat here at least once each visit to the city. Never had any issues issue with symptoms and she is fairly sensitive to gluten. She always gets chicken fingers and fries while I’ve enjoyed several different sandwiches/burgers. Highly recommend as a quick stop restaurant
I don’t say this lightly: Friedmans’ fish and chips might be the best I’ve ever had. Golden, crisp, and gluten-free without sacrificing a single ounce of flavor. The batter was perfectly light and crunchy, the fish flaky and fresh—like it dove out of the ocean and straight into the fryer with purpose. The fries? Thick-cut, hot, and seasoned just right. It’s rare to find a gluten-free dish that doesn’t feel gluten-free, but this one absolutely nailed it. I wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10, no notes.
Classic New York style diner with all the usual breakfast options. Massive portions, you would need to be hungry to finish your meal! Full GF menu, our Coeliac daughter had waffles and they were delicious, no ‘tummy’ after effects! The only slight issue we had was that the server brought all 4 plates together stacked up along his arm meaning a plate with my toast was sitting on top of my daughters GF plate, increasing the chances of cross contamination. I’d have preferred if the GF food were brought out separately. Otherwise, all was good, very friendly staff, enjoyable breakfast.
A Thoughtfully Crafted Burger Experience in the Heart of Forest Hills
Bareburger in Forest Hills is far more than your average burger joint—it’s a place where quality, care, and creativity come together beautifully. The menu is impressively versatile, offering everything from classic grass-fed beef to bison, elk, and plant-based patties that don’t feel like afterthoughts. Each ingredient feels intentionally chosen, and it shows in every bite.
What sets this place apart is its ability to cater to nearly every diet without sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or simply a lover of a well-made burger, Bareburger ensures you feel included—and well fed. The sweet potato fries deserve their own round of applause, and the shakes (whether dairy or plant-based) are thick, nostalgic, and satisfying.
The ambiance is inviting—rustic yet modern, family-friendly yet grown-up enough for a casual date night. Staff are attentive and genuinely helpful, which goes a long way in today’s fast-casual dining scene.
Yes, it’s priced a bit above your typical burger spot, but the difference in quality and experience more than justifies it. Bareburger is a Forest Hills gem—one that honors the art of the burger while embracing the values of thoughtful, sustainable dining
This place was amazing! They have gluten free chicken tenders and fries! If you are gluten free you will love these tenders and fries, they were amazing! I loved their honey mustard dipping sauce and their signature sauce was great as well. The staff was super helpful and even helped me find their restaurant over the phone because the geolocation was off when I was using walking directions.
We came in on a whim when a nearby burger spot was unexpectedly closed. We loved the food!!! And I was extra thrilled to find they have vegan cheese and vegan dips- which gluten free options as well. We’ve added this spot to our must go to spots when visiting Brooklyn!
Very gluten friendly - order was forgotten a couple times but gluten free frier for fries, pickle chips, fried chicken sandwiches/popcorn chicken and it was all incredible!
From GA. Wife is Celiac. Food was amazing, salted caramel shake a d pickle chips were to die for. I would share a pic, but it is just empty plates at this point. Staff were also friendly and helpful.
I had a fantastic experience at Lindens, my company hosted a dinner for a group of 15-17 and the entire staff were super helpful and provided great service. Especially want to give Macky a big shout out, he was very attentive and even went the extra mile to remember everyones names! Food & drinks were delicious, and they were very accommodating for gluten free as well. I would highly recommend them!
Literally the best vegan food i've had in ages (easily adaptable to vegan and gluten-free options).
The food is extremely tasty, there are many options and the staff is adorable.
I highly recommend!!
The "Chicken tenders" are really chicken nuggets. While they are good and gluten-free, they are definitely NOT chicken tenders as they have listed on their menu. There is a BIG difference between Chicken Tenders and chicken nuggets. These are definitely nuggets.
Celiac safe, gluten free options! Enjoyed a great dinner before a concert at the Brooklyn Steel. Kate, our bartend and server was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free options and cross contact. She confirmed the frier was dedicated so the sweet potato fries were a go along with burgers, wings, all insanely delicious! Support this awesome, small joint that takes pride in offering celiac safe and also tasty food!

Really lovely atmosphere at this family owned restaurant. Food was good with easy to find gluten free options. Complimentary refilled sodas arrived at our table without us asking and the owner was friendly and attentive.

Mythical place to go to eat a legendary burger.
The first thing is to find the restaurant, which is inside a hotel. If you have in mind to look for a large red curtain, you can't lose.
The menu is small and that makes it easier to decide. We had a double cheeseburger and a simple cheeseburger but with gluten-free bread. The quality of the menu is high, with a perfect grill point and a lot of flavor. By default they add lettuce, tomato, red onion, some delicious pickles with a slightly spicy touch, and cheese. Everything goes without sauce since you add that later if you feel like it.
The service is fine. 4 guys who have been on the grill for a thousand hours, but with a smile and without focusing on anything other than their work. Professional and pleasant.
The place itself is clean. There are quite a few tables and the type of music changes. The atmosphere (for the price) is that of healthy people, who are going to enjoy a burger made in NY
BEWARE, it's not cheap. Double cheese burger $25, fries $10, small cola $6. It was worth it to me but it is not something to go to regularly.
Favorite restaurant in the world
Authentic French food
No reservations
They only serve salad, steak, and fries which are all GF. Don’t eat the bread / some desserts.
Just reopened in NY and the lines are long but worth it

Went for lunch. Cute place with nice vibe, had to wait a little to get seats at a very wobbly table. Staff was nice and friendly. Part of the reason we came was because we knew they had a gluten free menu, as one of our family members has celiac. He wanted to order the schnitzel, which was listed as GF on the menu, but we double checked it, and it actually wasn't! So he got the salmon salad. He said the salmon was very dry. I ordered falafels - which were very good, and the shakshuka, which I didn't really care for. It was covered in green olives and feta, and I had to dig to find the eggs. The tomato sauce was overly spicy and I left most of it over. The chicken shawarma was too bland, and the fluffy potato chips were ok. Overall, not sure if we will be back, or maybe only to buy something from the cute shop that is in the front area that sells jewelry bags and scarves. Disappointed

I have celiacs and I went here for brunch. It was a suggestion that everyone was excited about. There were plenty of gluten free options ans everything was delicious.
I got a burger without bread because I am gluten intolerant. I asked for it well cooked as it was a hamburger (you shouldn't eat hamburgers that are not completely cooked) and it was very dry, as well as small
I only ate this and spent around $40 with tip
I know they also have gluten-free pizza (I haven't tried it)
Very few celiac-safe options as it’s a shared fryer. The wings, which are marked gluten free, are in said fryer. Service was poor and they charged us for the wings anyway.
