Had a great evening. My husband got the fish fry, I got the Island stir fry with seared tuna. We also ordered hurricane cocktails and seasoned fries. Everything was fabulous. They are a 100% gluten-free restaurant. It's peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Lots of outdoor seating in warmer weather. Nice addition to Wauwatosa. Hands down the best place for dinner we have gone to in years. The amount of food you get for the price is amazing. The food is amazing. The service is amazing. Our server, Brooke was super friendly and helpful, she was an absolute gem to have serve our table. I took my daughters (who were visiting) on July 5th, one of the busiest times of the year and yes there was an expected wait but the Hostess, Susan was the most gracious person even though it was insanely busy!! She greeted with a smile and never once lost her cool!! We have eaten at the Craftsman many times! Not only because the atmosphere is trendy, modern and refreshing from all the others but the food is great. More importantly the women in my family have Celiacs and GI and this place is safe for us!! they offer delicious GF options and they use a separate fryer! We have had their parmesan/truffle tater tots, burgers, flatbreads, Nashville hot chicken and tacos—everything was delicious. Our server was a gem!! Also very gracious during a horribly busy time—I wish I could remember her name but she was an adorable young lady with reddish hair that she wore in pigtails. She was very attentive and kind!! Craftsman has a winning combination—great good, great staff and great atmosphere!! Did I mention they support and honor our Vets!!!

We ordered GLUTEN FREE buns. We have celiac. Waited an hour an hour for food. 2 of the orders were correct. My son ate his burger before I noticed something was off. Manager said she would comp the meal. Came back and said she never said that. Very disappointed and now we get to have side effects of eating gluten for who knows how long.

Intereseting concept: Converted canning operation building. Pleasant atmosphere. Loud, but not so much that we could not hold a conversation. Cool reception at best at front door. No one smiling. Hostest was utilitarian; not warm or engaging at all. Waitress was very friendly and warm. Great first contact and initial follow through. Started to slip after that. Ordered appetizer fries. We are glutten free and were assured that they had a seperate fryer for such. Meal arrived, but not the appetizers. We asked and Waitress appologized, went to kitchen, and immediatly returned with the fries. Having an order come that fast (and being as warm as they were) made us worry as to whether this was the gluten free order, or just a regular order grabbed to save time. We risked it, and fortuantely they proved to be the G-frees. We lacked some silverware and needed more napkings - it took a while for us to flag our Waitress down to request them. We also had to wait longer than we expected for drink refills. Food was hot and tastey. Nice selection offered on the menu. When we left, no one offered a "thanks for coming" comment of any type...just looks of acknowlegement that a customer was leaving. The atmosphere and food will bring us back, but if you like a more personalized experience - unless you know someone to ask for specifically, be prepared for a bit of a let down.

The place was great over all. The guy taking our order was friendly and as son as he found out our daughter was gluten free, he explained all her options and which sauces she can have. He then turned around and asked the cooks to change gloves to not cross contaminate. Then the food was delicious, everything we ordered was great. Then there was an older lady who walked around asking if we needed refills, or boxes etc. So nice! When I comment how nice they were, she then brought us 2 coupons for free sandwiches! Just awesome experience.
