Gluten free paradise in Würzburg! We were walking in the streets of Würzburg and saw the shop in the middle of the Marktplatz. Everything is glutenfree. Amazing cakes, cookies and I had the best Donauwelle. Looking forward to returning.
I used to really enjoy coming here often.
Especially because they have gluten-free pizza and pasta. That's no longer the case!
But it's become outrageously expensive these days. You can easily pay €15.90 for pizza here, plus a whopping €4 surcharge for the gluten-free dough.
But the final straw is the drink prices. An Aperol Spritz or, for example, a Sarti Spritz, as pictured here, costs €8.90. You can see for yourself how many ice cubes/water are in the glass. A disgrace.
Staff, as always, are on the ball and hard-working. Yet very unmotivated and sometimes a bit rude.
The outdoor seating is also very close together to accommodate as many guests as possible.
Plus point: hot food is served until late at night.
The brunch was so different from the other cafes in Würzburg that i had till now. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would eat there again . Just i wish they had glutenfree pancakes/ toast option too.
Super delicious ice cream ..and incredibly informed... Celiac disease absolutely no problem, gluten-free waffle, fresh spoon and fresh ice cream taken from the back. A dream for our son, we were there directly 2*. Big praise to the entire team!
We go there regularly to eat...super friendly innkeepers.......top food.....today gluten-free pizza bread with delicious chicken gyros salad....mega delicious.....great staff.. ....everyone always friendly........
All items on the menu that contain gluten have a small (a) next to them indicating gluten. They can however modify dishes, for example I got a fish dish and they baked it instead of frying and substituted potatoes instead of the barley risotto. I did have a celiac translation card with me, which was very helpful for them to understand my needs. There is a beautiful view by the water on the outside patio.
Highly recommended!
What we liked the most yesterday was our waiter - Chris.
Chris was very competent, patient and relaxed when it came to advice regarding our food intolerances 🤟
No matter whether it had to be gluten-free or vegan.
He adapted our food to best suit our needs and it was also very tasty 🤤 It should actually be that uncomplicated in every restaurant, thank you Chris.
Even without a reservation, we were immediately given a good seat in the beer garden - we would be happy to come back.
Smart reception with automatic check-in via totem. Staff available for assistance and for every type of need. Large and clean room with panoramic view of the town. Bathrooms not very large and beds not very comfortable. High quality international breakfast with gluten free options.
Typical Franconian restaurant, welcoming, with a beautiful Central European atmosphere, a stone's throw from the Duomo.
The staff was very very kind. One of us is celiac and they tried to help us in every way. We had chosen the place because the possibility of gluten-free dishes was indicated, but in reality the choice is really limited (salad, cooked cheese or a plate of tagliatelle with "minced meat sauce" which we did not try), as in most of the places where we ate in Bavaria.
We opted for various traditional local dishes, in addition to the more famous schnitzel. All very good and plentiful.
Prices are average.
Advised.
A welcome and hospitable encounter.
No problem even with celiac disease!
We were able to enjoy natural, attentive and warm care. And the food is so delicious, whether vegan, vegetarian or...
You also have a selection of German and Italian dishes.
We sat in the restaurant, which appears spacious thanks to a mirror and is very clean. If we come back to Würzburg, then we will definitely know where we will eat again.
I'm vegan and gluten-free, and I found so much to eat here. It was also the best vegan food I've ever had. The service was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, I'm thrilled! 🫶🏻✨ PS: Dish number 1 is incredibly delicious.
I would like to give it five stars based on the dishes, but unfortunately I can't ignore the dingy atmosphere in the dining room and toilets. Crumbled plaster from the walls at table height has probably been collecting on the floor for a long time and the cobwebs on the lights etc. are not from the last few days either.
I really liked the extremely attentive service, with good knowledge of the dishes and gluten-free and flavor enhancer-free versions, and I tolerated everything very well. Thank you very much at this point!
If the acoustics were better (incredibly loud despite the small number of guests) and the cleanliness was at a good level, I would happily dine there again.
We had a delicious breakfast. The selection, from various breakfast options (with/without sausage/cheese/salmon) to porridge and various egg dishes, ensures there's something for everyone. The coffee selection is also excellent. Upon request, I was given gluten-free rolls! It's not explicitly listed on the menu. We felt comfortable. Thank you.
