Urban Farmhouse has a lot of charm and some real potential to be a go-to spot if you’re in the area. I tried the VA bacon and egg panini, and it definitely hit the spot! The place itself is adorable — cozy with a rustic vibe and lots of little extras that make it stand out, like shelves of local wine, beer, chocolate, snacks, and even postcards. It feels like part café, part market, which adds a fun twist. There are solid food options for everyone — including gluten-free and vegan — which I really appreciate. I came here because it was close to my hotel and heard they were good about accommodating dietary restrictions. It was a bit smoky or steamy inside when I arrived, but I still managed to grab a table. Service was fine, and the space had a casual, artsy feel with local artwork on the walls. The matcha latte didn’t quite match my taste (a bit more earthy than sweet, especially if you’re used to the Starbucks version), but everything else I’ve tried so far — like the lox bagel, grilled cheese, and soups — has been on point. I think with a few tweaks this could easily be a 5-star spot, but I’m definitely coming back for lunch or a mid-morning coffee break next time I’m in Richmond.

We really love Perks coffee and food options! However, several times we have ordered the gluten free bread options and the audible comments about how much of a burden and frustrating they are to make have turned us away.

Best gluten free pie crust. Gf stuffing was at least better than aldis. It wasn't on the shelf and an employee found some in the back for me, saved Thanksgiving for us. Their gluten free muffins are all delicious too.

Medium-sized store with lots of organic and gluten-free options!! Most people are friendly here, but I did get a snobbish vibe from some of the staff and customers. The parking lot was packed. They need more handicap accessible parking spaces. Otherwise, excellent location and much to choose from!!!

Publix is exactly what you want a grocery store to be: clean, well-organized, and staffed by employees who treat bagging your groceries like a competitive sport. The bread aisle smells like hope and gluten. The deli counter is staffed by people who can slice meat so thin it might qualify as a superpower. Checkout lines move fast enough to make you question if time is relative or if everyone just really loves a good Publix sub. Their motto is “Where shopping is a pleasure,” which is either optimistic or wildly accurate—hard to say, but I’m buying in. Five stars. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys small miracles like finding exactly the right avocado on the first try.

The food here was truly exceptional, as was the service and their gorgeous space. Excellent, creative flavors and good knowledgeability about gluten sensitivity. HIGHLY recommend trying the cachapas. The cocktails were good but not quite at the same level as places like Heritage or Roosevelt. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will absolutely be back!

Great little spot to get an aperitif. The spritz was a perfect mix of bitterness and sweetness. The hummus board came with a variety of vegetables and pita bread (I was also able to substitute gluten free bread!), and overall I was impressed with the size for the price. Perfect addition to your neighborhood walk.

Gas selection of organic food and products. I have not seen at Whole Foods or Mom’s market. . Gluten-free keto and vitamin health shop has large variation. I would highly recommend.

This market has specialty foods that you won't see in your everyday market. The foods are a little more pricey, but I think that has to do with a lot of the shelf, cans, and bottled foods being made I. Other countries or the items being vegan, organic, gluten-free, etc. The meats look super fresh. I'm vegan for quite a couple of years now, but I know what good meats are supposed to look like. Lol. The fruits and vegetables look top tier.👌🏽I have bought some organic avocado and apples, and I think 🤔 strawberries a while ago. For a small quaint market, you'll be surprised to find so many food choices WITH LESS bad ingredients. They also carry bulk self-serve, candy dry snacks, and nuts/ dried fruits. I haven't gone here CONSISTENTLY. 😆😅because of the hire prices. But every once in a while, I pull myself from one of my favorite markets ( in my neighborhood), Aldi's, to buy a few things that my Aldi's doesn't carry. There's a lot more that I could say positive about this store, lol. But I've already taken up a lot of my and your time. 😄👋🏾😘😃Just stop in there one day, and look around. You'll definitely love it!
