The service was fast and friendly. The food wasn't bad, but the pasta was too oily and the fish overcooked for our taste. The side vegetables were excellent!
The menu is varied and interesting, and dietary restrictions, including vegan and gluten-free options, are catered for.
Today we wanted to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday here in a small group. Since my children have to eat a gluten-free diet, this was stated when we reserved the table (specifically: they wanted gluten-free pizzas and so we announced it early on - this offer also exists there in principle, that's the only reason we went there). My mother also left her cell phone number.
When we arrived we were told: we no longer have gluten-free pizza.
My parents came there from outside Düsseldorf. Nobody thought it was necessary to call them after the last gluten-free pizza had been ordered, nobody had put aside the two portions of dough that we had explicitly stated were requested.
Apparently Per Voi (formerly Da Noi Urdenbach) did not note the request for gluten-free pizzas when making the reservation.
It's human to make mistakes, even if there were several here.
The real reason I'm writing this review now is that there was not a word of regret, not an admission of error, not a "sorry!", not a "you're right!". No recognition of what was obviously, unfortunately, unprofessional behavior.
So if you want to go there to eat a “reserved” gluten-free pizza, you can’t necessarily rely on it. And yes, gluten-free pasta was offered as an alternative, but it happens that the guest simply wants to eat what he had already announced and been promised days before.
So we left the restaurant without having accomplished anything. It's a shame, it could have been a nice evening there.
We tried this restaurant close to our hotel. We had good references. Before going there, I called to make sure they could serve safe gluten-free food. They told me the meat and fish where okay. Great! When the 8 of us arrived, I explained my allergies to the waiter again. They prepared three dishes for me: antipasto of cold cuts. Gluten-free spaghetti al pomodoro. And a piece of beef fillet. I didn’t take a picture of this last one because I didn’t think of it.
My colleagues were not happy with this restaurant because the portions were quite small for the price we paid, and also because we paid way beyond expected.
I was happy because they had good precaution to prepare my food safely and avoiding cross contamination. Despite being small, the meat was really good.
Due to traffic problems we were forced to spend time at the airport. Luckily, in addition to the friendly, very helpful staff, there is also gluten-free and soy-free pasta. And if you're lucky, there's also a gluten-free dessert. Probably the only place for this at DUS airport.
Unfortunately there was a very long wait on Friday evening. Gluten-free versions were possible. Very tasty starter, main course was ok. We found the prices relatively high, so we didn't get full marks.
Had a gluten-free pizza there for the first time today. The pizza tasted okay, but it wasn't any better than gluten-free frozen pizzas. However, shortly afterwards I had severe diarrhea, so I doubt the gluten freedom.
