Made reservations on a Friday early evening. Wasn't busy and the perfect time to go for a date night. Everything about our experience was great. The food was amazing, the server was great and everything was so clean inside. They have gluten free options, including pasta, and a nice wine selection. We both got pasta dishes and both were so good. We got a salad to share, I got the Linguine with lobster and shrimp, and my wife got the GF Rigatoni. Highly recommend. We'll definitely come again to try something different.

While probably not as good as the hype around it suggests, Matteo is a good Italian restaurant for SLC and in a great location. A few comments on the food and service: 1- the service (while a bit slow…was excellent). 2- the pastas, lasagna, risotto, and even the pollo dish are all good, but not great. Sicilia Mia is likely better. 3- The Cesar salad is great…and huge. Definitely a shared salad. 4- Excellent gluten free pasta noodle. I need to figure out where they are getting it. They use a noodle that is quinoa and brown rice and it was both delicious and perfectly cooked. 5- The panna cotta and the lemoncello bread pudding aren’t good and I would suggest skipping entirely. The best panna cotta (by a wide margin) along the Wasatch Front is at Maestra in American Fork. 6-The whipped Brie is excellent and worth getting to share as an appetizer. This has so much buzz, and was the best thing we ate The GF rolls were good too (though not great). Overall, I’d

Makenna was our server and to say she was amazing is an understatement!! I have a recent gluten allergy and she made me feel so comfortable eating here with it. Her knowledge of what could be gluten free and the safety of the food (what might have cross contamination and not) was amazing. She’s such a kind and caring server and it was truly some of the best service I have ever had!!!!

Food was pretty good and all the drinks we had were really good! The gluten free pizza was so-so, but most of the other food we got was good and their presentation is really, really nice.
