Extensive gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options!
The gluten free “spaceballs” are meant to be gf garlic bread. It’s just a pizza crust with seasonings and parmesan shaker cheese.
I tried the gf cauliflower bites and they were alright! They were baked, not fried.
The pizza was pretty good but nothing special.
Best breakfast sandwich ever! I’m gluten free, but my husband is not. We both agreed that the gf herb and cheese bread is insanely delicious and perfectly paired with the north shore sandwich. Also their dirty chai is yummy. They don’t miss here! 💕
I wanted to like this place but the service was really terrible. It took us an hour to receive an order of chicken fingers and they still messed up the order fairly seriously (we ordered gluten free chicken fingers and stated that it was due to an allergy multiple times). When our order finally came out (45 minutes after the couple that were were with received their food), it was definitely not gluten free. It took several minutes to flag down our server to ask if the order was GF, she took it back to the kitchen, and 10 minutes later she came out with a new plate and just said “this one is definitely gluten free.” No acknowledgement or apology for almost getting us sick or the hour that it took to receive our food, and we still paid full price. Which $15+ for 4 chicken fingers and some tater tots is insane.
I watched the kitchen runner bring food to the wrong table at least 4 or 5 times. Just blindly asking people “did you order this?” The lack of attention could get someone sick when dealing with food allergies.
Half of the arcade games were either out of order or in desperate need of service. I really wanted to like this place but we left feeling ripped off.
Food is great; lots of gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. The staff was friendly & service was pretty great. The location, tucked away from the main drag and yet in eyesight of most everything is fantastic & makes for epic people-watching.
Both the fish chowder and the clam chowder are marked gf on the menu, but after I ordered the waitress came back and said they are not anymore. Pretty disappointing because I came here for the chowder and it’s been good before.
Absolutely great location with an excellent selection of seafood and sushi. Lovely views and the service was friendly and accommodating. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options and they had gluten free soy sauce.
We ordered three pizzas for delivery and only two were delivered. The gluten free pizza was not delivered. PZA uses DoorDash for delivery - their choice and one pays PZA directly. Upon the driver explaining they only received two pizzas and I watched the delivery driver the whole way and they came directly to the delivery address. I also checked the drivers car. I called the restaurant and the person the answered insisted they handed the driver three pizzas and would not honor the fact that three pizzas were paid for and only two made and delivered. The restaurant insisted it was a door dash issue. Again the restaurant contracts out door dash so there is no means by which to put in a complaint with door dash. The person that answered at the restaurant hung up on me the customer and become very argumentative. It does appear from other reviews this is a trend. Please don’t order from this restaurant for delivery they do not honor their customers orders and are extremely rude.
UPDATE I have changed my review to service of 5 stars and included the fact that the pizza was very good. The owner contacted me directly and is making everything right. I would go back and recommend that with such high customer service that you should check them out if in the area.
Pizza was AMAZING. I don’t know if it’s the garlic oil or what they put on this pizza, but it was so flavorful we loved it! Really reasonably priced and we were even able to take some left over back to the hotel to munch on later!! They have gluten free options, and really loved the patio by the water and the fact that this place wasn’t PACKED. We didn’t participate in bowling but would like to before we leave.

A good place in Salmon, where everyone can find something. The fish and chips were pretty good, though you don’t get as much fish as expected for the price. I also recommend the fig and cheese flatbread, the gluten-free flatbread was also very good.
Mexican food place that’s friendly with a good set of menu items. Fajitas were very good. Veggie bowl was tasty. My tacos really didn’t have much taste but were fine. Limeade was ordered by many and was too sweet and lacking lime flavor. Lime wedges appeared quickly on request. Margaritas were tasty.
Allergens are an issue here with much cross-contamination. BUT, they know about it. Expect limited choices if this applies to you. I did have to ask about each item regarding gluten, and they did not volunteer glutenfree options. This was likely because they were busy and not used to or trained on working with diners with restrictions.
I would go back but only at a time that wasn’t too busy so I could ask about items. They have salsas that look interesting, too.
A gluten-free fryer for chips and marking menu items as GF would go a long way here. I’m sure those with dairy, egg, and other allergies would feel similarly.
Great gluten free selection. The manager even confirmed all the food was free of my allergens. They did accidentally send my salad with croutons, which was a letdown, but otherwise was a great experience.
I recently eloped and chose this restaurant as our after-ceremony dinner as I needed a place that could make gluten free meals and offered vegetarian options. I’ve enjoyed many of Indian restaurants in other parts of the state and was looking forward to trying this one. I should have trusted my gut that this wouldn’t be a pleasant experience when I got an extremely rude man on the phone while placing the reservation. Every single waiter was pushy, rude, and checked out. They constantly said “yep, yep, yep”, didn’t bother remembering who ordered what, placing dishes wherever was a spot and telling us to pass them, and inserting themselves into the table to move our plates. My party constantly felt confused and rushed. The restaurant wasn't even a quarter filled, and the staff acted like it was inconvenience that we were there.
The food wasn’t anything to write home about. Hot, but flavorless. Everything fried was extremely dark — they would do well to change their oil more frequently. The mixed drinks were large, yet watered down.
I’ve never felt so unwelcome and disappointed at a restaurant before. Their rude behavior and lackluster food completely soured my wedding night.
Calamari was phenomenal. Great Alcohol selection and Service was great! Definitely not "bar" food. This place rocks, kudos to the chef and all the staff!! My wife was especially excited with the big selection of Gluten free items. Thank you
A must if you visit Salem. Right in the middle of everything. Staff is super friendly. The best French toast and they have lots of gluten-free options. This place deserves 5 🌟 🤩
My husband and I have eaten here both times we’ve visited from Virginia, and this past time we brought a bunch of friends. They accommodated our big group in a timely manner, and were very attentive with their service. The food was as amazing as I remembered it, and I love that I can get my burger on a salad instead of a bun as I am gluten sensitive. The fries are to die for, and their portions are great for the prices.
My family and I have enjoyed a few meals at Tepeyac at this point, and they have all been fantastic. I've tried a few different tacos, all were delicious but I just had the carnitas today and ... YYYUUUUMMM. My youngest daughter, who is a little picky, was delighted that they made her favorite taco for her - corn tortilla with avocado and cheese. And my oldest daughter (who has celiac) was THRILLED that they fried the tortillas separately so that she could enjoy a GF tostada - she ate it all and loved every bite. Not only was the food outstanding (flavorful, fresh, and balanced) but the people who work there are kind and delightful. They made sure that everyone in my party of tricky eaters enjoyed our meal together.
Also, for all you Salem Youth Soccer families, this is a fantastic place to get take out for those nights at McGrath. Drop off the kids at practice, go get some tacos, come back to the field for a picnic or pick up and eat at home.
Fantastic breakfast! Big chocolate chip pancakes, great corn beef hash and gluten free options that included a homemade hollandaise. Going to be favorite whenever I come to Salem!
So the food is always good, but the last two times coming here to eat we have had one particular waitress that i strongly dislike. She is one of the older waitresses who has short bangs and a bob like hair cut. And let me say before i continue literally EVERYONE else who works there is always kind, respectful, and at least acts like they are in a good mood to provide good service. I have NEVER had a SINGLE problem with another worker other than this particular waitress.
First she is never pleasant, she has acted as if us being there is a burden. She gets many things wrong or doesn't bring certain items we ask for and even when asked again its still wrong. Then I notice on your website you are happy to give vegetarian and gluten free options for more healthy eating, well you need to let this particular waitress know that, cause when I asked if a certain food was vegetarian, she lied to me. She stood there and guessed if it was vegetarian or not then my friend who I was with saw her roll her eyes the minute her back was turned from me.
She has been very cold, rude and honestly if I go there and have this particular waitress I am either going to leave or ask for a different waitress. Cause I'm not gonna ask a question nicely and for dietary reasons only to have someone on purpose lie, not double check, and then roll their eyes at me. I always treat people who serve others with respect cause I know how hard they work, but ill be damned if I'm gonna have someone roll their eyes at me for asking a question respectfully and for a good reason.
I went for the first time two weeks ago.. and I’ve been back four times. Best gluten free pizza I’ve had in a very long time and it’s wildly inexpensive. I’m from NY so I have high standards. The owners are so nice too! I’m so glad they’re in town.
Lovely restaurant with elements of fun. The food is seriously good. They were very good about my food allergies. I was able to order gluten free and soy free from many choices. The lemonade is terrific, as were three choices of beer. Very clean, modern place. We had table service. There is also the option of hibachi.
Thank you so much for honoring your word! We had ordered a steak and cheese egg roll and got a steak and cheese sub instead. We couldn't eat the steak and cheese sub cuz my roommate could not take that much gluten in so we told them and called them and they said they would issue a credit. We called two days later and the lady immediately knew who we were and it should be a credit for any free sub and it was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for taking care of us on customer service along with the free soda! We have a wonderful experience and will continue to keep ordering again
