Daniel took great care of us from the moment we walked in. It was lunchtime but we didn’t have to wait at all. This was the last time I’ll get to eat at Eno’s for a while since I’m about to start chemo, but I told him before we left that once I am in the clear again, we’ll come back to celebrate.
As for a food recommendation: get the Pig Smiley - even on gluten free crust, it’s the bomb.
To celiacs, or gluten intolerant folks - call ahead and ask if they’re out of their gluten free ingredients. They stopped carrying their gluten free bread all together, and often times are out of their gluten free tortillas. Pretty disappointing.
Creative comprehensive dishes. It took us a while to review the menu bc the options all seemed stunning.
Very accommodating to gluten free and dairy free diets.
Pros:
Cute place, Has Gluten-Free Options, Great Location
Cons:
*A heart attack waiting to happen with the outrageously salty food.
*Tea was so sweet that putting 3/4 of a cup of water and 1/4 of the tea, it was still too sweet.
*The cashier was sweet but was not listening to what I was saying nor was very knowledgeable.
*The floors were VERY sticky. It was disgusting.
*The sandwich I ordered tasted good but I feel nauseous now based on how salty, heavy, greasy and unhealthy it was.
*The owner was very helpful and willing to accommodate my specifications which I appreciated, but I could tell she was annoyed and seemed to not want me there afterwards.
*Lastly, I am from the Deep South and this is NOT soul food in my book. We typically do turnip greens, vegetables, some fried chicken and corn bread. We don't do French fries nor cauliflower wings or the bulk of this menu. This place would be something for someone seeking SUPER salty and greasy food unlike any fast food restaurant around who is purposely wanting to eat disgustingly unhealthy. Unfortunately, I was looking for a healthier version of savory, home cooked food. All I got was a stomach ache and diarrhea.
Awesome restaurant!! The owners are really nice, and the food was really good! If you do corn tortillas, lots of the menu is gluten free. I also got the horchata and it was very tasty!
Highly recommend. Our go-to spot for sushi (and yakisoba), I usually get the beef and vegetable yakisoba and the Xalapa roll, get that and you won’t be disappointed! Friendly and helpful staff, they have a menu marked for gluten free options, and are great for dine in or take out!
Yummy spot for pick up and for a quick bite. The responsibly sourced fresh rotisserie chicken could be the star if you are wanting to feed the family, but they offer so much more than that- delicious salads-try the sardine one with briny capers, pickled onions and cherry tomatoes and oily sardines it's a solid meal. The fries are divine (and truly gluten free) with the sumac seasoning and the tzatzki dip you will be coming back just for those. The specials are always tempting and you can always call in advance for your order (do it if you are hoping for a whole bird they sell out often). Easy choice for lunch and healthy-ish dinner. Love they are open straight through the day, be warned the rotisserie is not available from 3 till 5 as they reset for the dinner hour. Also DO NOT snooze on the Bulgarian froyo if available- tangy, and creamy it's the perfect treat on a hot day.
