Fantastic and highly accommodating to vegan and gluten free diets. Thought I'd add an update to the edit now that I've visited three times. It is hands down my favorite place in Port Townsend to hang out after walking around. They have got the best sweet potato fries I've ever had in my life. We always enjoy what we order there.

Everything we had was very yummy! I’m vegetarian and gluten free, so it was awesome that they had both options readily available. The farmers soup was tomato bisque and it had great flavors! My boyfriend had the Mac and cheese and he said it was better than Beecher’s Mac and cheese, so you know it’s pretty good! We also enjoyed the potato wedges. We’ll be back!

It’s so clear that La Cocina creates food with love and intention. The huevos rancheros were delicious. It was fun to watch the cooks press tortillas. And it was incredible to talk to the host about their efforts to grow and nixtamalize local corn as both a community building and resiliency tool. It’s a casual and welcoming vibe with delicious food for a reasonable price! As someone with celiac, it was easy to find things marked gluten free on the menu and the host was good about telling the kitchen to wipe down equipment. Go here!
