MAHARAJA BHOG I recently visited Maharajah Bhog restaurant, my favorite spot that I always make a point to visit whenever I’m in Houston, USA. Having dined at various places across many countries, I can confidently say that Maharajah Bhog in Houston is my absolute favorite. Their delicious Gujarati thali is unparalleled, and what truly stands out is their exceptional care for dietary needs and allergies. Whether you require gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, Jain, or Swaminarayan options, they ensure you receive the same variety of food as everyone else, without compromising on taste or quality. I visited with my family, and their attention to detail and commitment to accommodating dietary restrictions made the experience even more special. The staff, manager, and owner are incredibly welcoming and provide excellent service, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and inclusive dining experience. It’s truly a gem!

The good news is the meal is all vegetarian. You can ask for vegan, gluten free, nut free options. The food tastes mediocre. The reviews are hyped, I will agree this is an all you can eat at the table. Except for the paneer side all others were bland and below average. I like rotis, so I had that twice. Chas (buttermilk drink) was good.. The so called kichadi tasted like an unseasoned pongal. Pulav was about average. As far as the sides gravy with besan dumplings, potato sagu, Daal, kadi were below average. Bindi Curry was soggy and then the other Daal was watered down and too sweet. Shirkand was too sweet for me.. Halwa was quite dry.. There was another serving of what I think was Daal batti, was a disaster.. It costs $30 per person and does not justify the cost. It is ok to indulge once.. as my spouse states 'you need to dine out once in a while to appreciate the home food'. Now I crave for the homely meal. We have done our trip to MB, so I could write my feedback. Seating, serving, and how quickly they refill is a good team work. Kudos to the staff!! Well organized.
