What a wonderful dining experience! I went with my partner for a nice date night and this was nothing short of incredible. The atmosphere was so peaceful and intimate. The creative uses of vegetables was different and exciting each time, with so many varying flavours, textures, and colours.
Serena, the lovely human who carefully explained each meal to us, did such a fantastic job and was so friendly and knowledgeable on ingredients and techniques. The use of seasonal ingredients was so divine, and the cocktails & mocktails were wonderful. Everything was fresh, perfectly portioned and perfectly executed!
I added gluten free to my dietary restrictions during booking as well, and the kitchen did an amazing job accommodating that and making each dish so delicious. Any substitutions needed to have it be gluten free were very thoughtful and well done. I will definitely be back!
Also worth mentioning that the celeriac dish blew my mind, and to the ladies sitting behind us that didn’t like it, it’s okay to be wrong:)
Thank you Avelo for an amazing night!
The gluten-free pizzas are delicious!! It saved us from a pinch, but they are so delicious and feel so good, we will surely return.

Although pricey, the food here is authentic and delicious. Pizza selection is amazing. Freshly made cannoli, gelato (mint stracciatella is excellent), pasta, gnocchi and sandwiches are delicious. The porchetta was perfectly done with crispy skin. The brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. Coffee, latte and espresso were very good. Mouth watering selection of desserts includes gluten free options.
Wine and coffee bars are well placed. Cafe style seating is available throughout the venue. You can also choose restaurant style seating with table service.
The selection of olive oil, cheeses, salumi, breads, balsamic vinegars are excellent.
If you would like to bake your own bread or pizza, flour from Italy and fresh yeast are available for purchase.
Cooking classes are also available.
The bustle of the Italian mercato is unmistakable. A must try!
Charging an additional $5 for gluten-free dough is unreasonable and could be considered unfair, particularly as a gluten-free diet is frequently necessitated by medical reasons. Unlike this establishment, even Italy demonstrates greater understanding and adaptability regarding this matter. Although it's understood that gluten-free ingredients can be more costly, the price has decreased over time and these products have become more widespread. Considering a single bag of gluten-free flour, priced between $5-9, can yield several pizzas, this pricing strategy is highly questionable.
Disclaimer: I only order takeout here, as I am local.
The food is always so good, you can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the food is prepared well. Their gluten free selection is great, pasta tastes really good, pizza is very good too. Highly recommend!
Possibly my favourite place to have lunch in the city. Beautiful space, beautiful lighting, beautiful food. Lots of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The waiter was knowledgeable about cross contamination and let me know the frier was not gluten free.
I just had one of the worst burgers. Ordered a gluten free grilled chicken burger. The bread is old and couldn’t hold well. The chicken is not fresh either. I will not show up there ever. Thumbs down
I don't understand why this restaurant has such a low rating because my experience was fantastic.
The atmosphere was charming and welcoming. Before discovering Eataly, we couldn't find a single restaurant in Toronto that had any personality or even smelled good. Luckily, this restaurant stood out.
I tried the gnocchi with red sauce and the beetroot salad; both dishes were excellent. My group ordered the black thick pasta with shrimp and the pasta with pesto sauce and both were also delicious, especially the black pasta.
Unfortunately, there was no gluten-free pasta option available, but the gnocchi was a great substitute.
Tiramisu was ok. We wouldn’t recommend it.
