Local cuisine and lots of choices. Tried the beef fillet which was very nice. Had gluten free options and could cater for children with smaller sized meals. We went for a selection of starters which worked well.
It was my first visit to France, and we discovered this cafe online. It had excellent reviews and offered "gluten-free options," which was exactly what my friend needed.
The coffee was amazing; we had lattes and an extra treat ;) The barista brought us a sample of a new blend they source from Costa Rica.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere; the music was great, and so were the treats! The highlight of the experience was the service from the two baristas. They were friendly and kind, and helped me perfect my French. It was horrible, but okay. ;)
Great experience. The hostess spoke English which was helpful as we wanted to ensure everything was gluten free for our coeliac child. Food was quick to arrive and delicious. Recommend whether or not gluten free is a priority!
Superb place! Vegan cuisine with gluten-free options!!!!! In addition, since everything is homemade and on site, they know how to give you all the allergens and possibly remove what does not suit you. A real joy for my family who has a lot of intolerances and allergies. The portions are very generous. Everything is good and the atmosphere is friendly. Their involvement in the dog home brings another dimension to be welcomed. Adaptable dogs are present in the restaurant 🐶 I would also add that the staff is attentive and very friendly.
A coffee shop with a wide selection of gourmet, original, and delicious pastries. I loved the pistachio and sour cherry cake (gluten-free). There are tables both indoors and outdoors, with lovely decor. I recommend it and will be back.
Nice option for gluten free, vegan pastries and coffee (they have flat white, chai latte and matcha).
Pastries are beautiful but I often see them exposed in the vitrine with direct heat / sunlight and with flies sometimes on them. Also some of them have quite a strong taste of soda bicarbonate.
Also it’s common in Lille, but a chai latte spices need to be boiled instead of infused in slightly hot water. In result we have pricey chai lattes with no taste 🥲 it looks beautiful though.
Often it’s hard to find a place to sit because there are not a lot of places. One time I was waiting in a line for a long time and there was a last piece of cake left and a guy came from behind saying he wants this cake to go and they let him have it.
THANKS,
Being able to have an adaptation for a gluten-free and lactose-free dish without necessarily having warned in advance is really appreciable!
In addition, the people who work there are really caring and attentive!
And of course, we eat very well there! 🙏
Great restaurant, so good we went back a couple of days later for another lunch. Recommend booking as first visit had to wait for a table, but we were made very welcome and had a drink whilst waiting. Good tasty food with vegan and gluten free options available. Can recommend the red wine as well. Friendly and helpful staff.
Thank you so much for your kindness and flexibility - we were a table with food intolerances. (The waitress, who was in her first day at the restaurant, was lovely and answered all our questions about gluten-free and lactose-free options with a smile.) If it's possible to offer even more lactose-free and gluten-free options together in the future, that would be truly wonderful.

Precious restaurant in Lille, delicious cuisine, adorable staff, all the charm of Belgium, perfect menu, neither too short nor too long, with options for everyone to enjoy (vegan, gluten-free, meat), everyone enjoys it. Each dish has a strong identity and its own signature, difficult to find the same Tikka MAssala elsewhere, difficult to find their same sublime fish dish elsewhere, the same for their wonderful chicken maroilles, everything in fact! And for the taste quality it’s not expensive! A restaurant open on Sunday, a restaurant that serves organic food, I don't know what would need to be added to make it better!
Simple and efficient cooking.
I took the salmon with vegetables, finally telling myself it was served with vegetables and not fries or the same type of fatty side dish but very few vegetables served with it. 3/4 carrots fighting a duel. A little disappointed.
And no dessert even just 1 would be good gluten-free and lactose-free for intolerants like me.
On the other hand, the servers are top notch and efficient.
Perfect welcome.
We had a great time
Excellent cuisine: refined and original!
The service is top notch: attentive and discreet at the same time.
The chef comes to explain his dishes with passion
We were celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday! She is intolerable to lactose and gluten…. They took the trouble to adapt all the dishes for her! She who loves to eat and for whom it has been complicated since the discovery of her intolerance… she loved it
I highly recommend and we will definitely return
It's worth a star!
A real ❤️ hit! The chicken tacos are incredible, the pollock ceviche is an explosion of flavor for the taste buds, and the chocolate mousse is a classic that SLAY 💅 From the starters to the dessert, it was delicious, with lots of different flavors on each plate, which are colorful, and a menu that suits all diets! #glutenfree ✊🏻✊🏻
In short, go for it and keep the address, it was a real feast waiting for you, all that for a reasonable bill!
I took my mom to this restaurant for the first time. We had a great time. Varied menu. Menu available at lunchtime. Very good value for money. Good advice from the waiters. Dishes with great taste, flavors that we sometimes discover. Very good. Many options available (halal, gluten-free, etc.)
Very tasty food, very nice staff, they were very careful with the food of our friend who's gluten intolerant. They have a really good selection of food too. The only downside was the black tea wasn't really good :P.
The service was easily possible in English. Upon request, we were provided with a map of all allergens. Some courses without gluten are available without any problems. Everything was very friendly. The food was good and plentiful.
Fast service and good value for money.
They offer the possibility of having buckwheat pancakes for dessert, which is great for people with gluten intolerance.
The place lacks space but this is more due to the location in general than to this small restaurant.
Quality cuisine made with love. Original and authentic flavors.
I tasted Leone's cecina, a type of thinly sliced smoked ham but with toro.
So good that I tasted the salmon string and the cooked peppers 🫑.
In addition to great original cocktails.
Little extra: they offer gluten-free beer. Earlier rare in the neighborhood.
I contacted itsy bitsy for catering services for my wedding reception. The team's approach was impeccable during the event preparations. I thank the team for their professionalism, adaptability, and suggestions tailored to the guests' dietary needs, including gluten-free options. Everyone loved the plant-based cuisine. All the offerings were generous, fresh, and delicious. Thank you again!
The little extra that changed everything for me: having cooked gluten-free pasta before serving so that I could eat like everyone else! And that’s priceless for the Italian celiac that I am!
A warm thank you!
I will come back!
We came last weekend with a group of friends to celebrate a bachelorette party. We all had dietary constraints (gluten-free, lactose-free, and more severe allergies) and we were impressed by the management of these. Indeed, the menu was delicious and respected all our constraints. In addition, we had a space for ourselves in an alcove of the restaurant and were able to enjoy this special moment. The food is good, the service is also good and a special mention for the wine list: organic & original winegrowers! I highly recommend ! Thanks again !
I had already been here in the past for dinner and really enjoyed the food.
This time, I came for lunch with my family on a Saturday. We were only able to choose between two menus (no à la carte dishes). This isn't my preference because, being gluten intolerant, I almost never eat dessert, but I was reassured from the start by being told that the dessert on the menu would be gluten-free. I was a little skeptical because it was a whisky baba, but whatever, I trusted them.
The starter and main course were delicious, although not large enough for my taste, even though I eat standard portions.
When our desserts arrived, I was surprised to discover that the baba had been replaced by gluten-free bread crumbs, which the chef had "kindly" cut into a flower shape with a cookie cutter and dipped in a sort of whisky infusion. The taste was so terrible that I couldn't eat any of that last dish.
When I expressed my amazement to the waiter that the chef had dared to take such a risky gamble, he denied the fact that he had reused the gluten-free bread served at the table. It was obvious both visually and in the mouth.
It ruined everything.
Zero points and totally unacceptable in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
I won't be doing it again.
The decor is really nice. The welcome is excellent. However my overall opinion is mixed, I found this restaurant with the concept of a gluten-free restaurant. However, the lovely staff are not trained, the menus do not mention allergens at all.
What is served is really good but the quantities are quite restrictive.
The sweet potato fries are to die for, they are delicious.
Overall, I am mixed and disappointed.
A lovely little place in Lille, with some good gluten free options.
Pity that my toasted sandwich was actually stone cold. I was hoping to warm up!
A good location and super friendly staff working behind the counter too.
The food was delicious. Not very expensive for what you get. The service was fast and friendly too I'll definitely go back. The only negative was they provided a delicious melon soup as an appetizer but gave us our used spoons back even though we left them in the bowls for them to take. And then I had to use the dirty spoon for my dessert 😂 anyways apart from this it is 5* not suitable for vegetarians or vegans though as all dishes are meat and fish but they were accommodating to my gluten intolerance. I think they provide gluten free bread if you call in advance too.
We came to Rouge Barre for a special anniversary dinner and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and all the staff were super friendly. Accommodated a non gluten diet really well. Highly recommend
