As a celiac, I was almost glutened here. When I asked a server if the beer was gluten free, I was told everything on the menu was. But when my lager arrived, the bottle listed barley. I double checked with another server, who confirmed it wasn’t gluten free, apologized, and kindly brought me a quinoa-based beer instead (which was good, just a little warm).
I don’t want to be too harsh. Overall, the food was great, and it’s such a gift to have a spot where I can enjoy a tres leches cake without fear. But this experience is a good reminder to always double check, even in places that seem safe. It also highlights how important it is for all staff to be fully trained on gluten and allergens.
Tabule has always been my favourite restaurant, my top choice for lunch in the neighborhood.
The menu offers a variety of healthy options including gluten free items. The staff here are all pleasant and helpful especially Mina. I look forward to see her there every time.
Fabulous meal for my birthday!
Clare was a really great server, very much at ease with all questions, and checked with us without intruding on our meal/conversation.
The chef provided a special gluten-free/dairy free dessert for me, too.
How special!

Absolutely delicious. Great gluten free options. If only they had a dedicated fryer for their chips. You’ll understand why this little gem of a place has a Michelin sign out front!
The burritos, gluten free burritos and the chicken quesadillas are always a go to for midnight cravings
The manager is also friendly and will do his best to make sure customers have a good experience.
Have been going here consistently for 4 years, will always recommend especially to ryerson students
Definitely a little pricier. Customer service was great our server was very kind. The food was okay, it was a little bland in my opinion but I’m not an avid eater of Mexican food. The restaurant itself was very beautiful. The service was very fast. Would definitely go again especially because they have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.

Taco Lupita was an incredible experience! The entire restaurant was gluten-free, which is great if you have a gluten allergy. The food was absolutely fantastic—everything was made fresh to order. They even had a great deal on three tacos for $16.95. Kira, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed. They also have convenient bar style seating as well as tables in the building. These tacos are definitely some of the best in the city. If you’re in the area, Taco Lupita is a must-try!
Open until 2am, they're definitely my go-to spot in the area!
I appreciate all the vegan and gluten-free options, they're very clear with the ingredients they use. The food is always delicious, so filling, and the staff are all generous with the servings. Can't wait for my next trip there! 🌮
I was so excited to be able to have gluten free yucca fries! Most fried items share the oil with non-gf items, so fried food is rarely safe for me, but the fries and the fries fish tacos I had were great!

I had an absolutely unforgettable dining experience at this Mexican restaurant in Toronto! From start to finish, every dish was crafted to perfection, and I was so immersed in the flavors that I didn’t even stop to take photos—something that rarely happens.
The bone marrow was rich, buttery, and perfectly complemented by the seasonings and accompaniments, making it one of the most indulgent dishes of the night. The Argentinian shrimp were plump, juicy, and bursting with incredible flavor, cooked to absolute perfection. What truly elevated these dishes were the freshly made tacos—soft, warm, and the perfect vessel to savor every bite of the bone marrow and shrimp. The combination was simply out of this world.
The ceviche was another standout, unlike any I’ve had before. The texture was unique, and the balance of acidity, heat, and freshness made every bite an explosion of flavor. It was clear that every ingredient was chosen with care, resulting in a dish that was both refreshing and bold.
To finish, the gluten-free dessert was an absolute star. It had just the right amount of sweetness—enough to satisfy without being overpowering. The texture was spot on, proving that gluten-free desserts can be just as indulgent and satisfying as any other.
What truly surprised me was that I’m not usually a fan of Mexican food, but this restaurant completely changed my perspective. Every dish was executed with such care and precision that I left wanting more. If you’re in Toronto and looking for an authentic, elevated Mexican dining experience, this is the place to go. An absolute must-visit!
They have gluten free options and will change gloves and wash hands to reduce risk of cross contamination. They have a friendly staff and a large seating area. They offer vegetarian options as well. Location is clean. Only issue is parking is tough to find normally. But near subway. The food is not processed so its a decent place to eat at when you have no other options.
Great tequila and mezcal cocktails. Chill but social vibe. Personal favourite for sitting at the bar or patio. Can't count the number of times we've found our way to end the night here. Gluten free food is available.
Celiac safe! Such a cozy environment with amazing artwork on the walls and really wool bar wall. The wait staff explained clearly their process of how they are careful about cross-contamination when it comes to gluten.
I started with their guacamole and cornchips, which was so tasty. Then came the brazed ribs with corn tortillas to create your own tacos. Chefs kiss. It was amazing.
Lovely little hidden gem that we discovered on the Find Me Gluten Free app. Warm and welcoming staff (thank u Axel, Francis and Alix), lively & fun decor and amazing, authentic tacos. I have celiac and felt very safe to eat here, food came fast and it was DELICIOUS. Will be back!!!
This Mexican breakfast spot is so delicious and quaint. Their menu is loaded with so many gluten and dairy free options and the service is amazing. They are knowledgeable of gluten and dairy allergies and do whatever they can to accommodate you. All the staff is so friendly as well! I will definitely be back!
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR GLUTEN FREE
$2 surcharge for the smallest piece of gluten free bread I've seen in 15 years - this coupled with the fact their homemade fries are done in the same oil as items containing wheat so I couldn't have them. I even asked for a second slice of bread and was told I couldn't have it.
The brunch should include tea or coffee which was not provided either and still charged.
Also the Shakshouka was too sweet (and too spicy) - the latter I can give some as that can be preference, but why so much sweetness.
For almost $24, no potatoes or drink and a very small slice of bread (which bread is already included in the dish) - Definitely not worth the money in these times.
We were so happy to stumble onto this little restaurant since my partner has Celiac Disease & the menu stated repeatedly very many items being gluten free. We told our server about the Celiac disease and asked for recommendations. Unfortunately, both the servers and the chef don’t seem to have any concept of what GF actually means but are completely reassuring until repeatedly pressed on items that were obviously not GF. There were three separate items that were served that ended up not being GF and my partner actually ate half a wheat tortilla that was brought as a substitute for other wheat flour chips. She ate half but thought It tasted too good to be GF and the server only then confirmed it was in fact wheat, but didn’t seem to understand that wheat is exactly what we need to avoid. After three separate errors, including both main dishes, and no sense that the restaurant understood how to provide a safe meal for us, we needed to leave and head home ASAP waiting to see how bad the gluten contamination effects would be. We have never before sent food back and would have loved to try what looked to be very tasty food. If we could ever be convinced this was safe for people with Celiac Disease we would love to try again sometime.
tacos here just make you feel like life is good. fair price, tasty as hell, simple and delicious. their hot sauces are the best finishing touch to an already super high quality taco. like the choice of tortilla too - critical if you’re gluten sensitive or feeling crunchy or soft. they’ve got it all.
Happy hour was still on once we arrived. Perfect time for chips guac and salsa. Order the cauliflower taco and the sweet potato. Hands down sweet potato rocks. Their hot sauces are at the table could be a little hotter. They salt the rims a lot when it comes to margaritas. They do have vegan and gluten-free options which is nice.
Never mind this location it is no longer a recommended place to get safe food, better off at the Victoria Park n Shephard location instead.
Staff isn't very knowledgeable about cross contamination porotcals or even what gluten is!
Delicious food, kind and welcoming staff, good vibes. The team was very accommodating of our party's celiac/gluten allergies---was so happy to see that their fish tacos are corn-battered so they are totally gluten-free! Very glad we tried this place, will be coming back again for tacos!
I recently visited this location after being diagnosed with celiac disease and was pleasantly surprised. Luckily when i enetered there was no one in front of me. The staff behind the counter was so kind and helpful!
So careful, walked over to wash their hands and put on new gloves, made sure to use separate bins for everything and asked another staff to clean the counter. While she walked over to put all ingredients she did not place my bowl down and was just such a pleasure! Thank you!! Super clean too
I picked this place to satisfy a variety of dietary preferences in my party, including gluten-free and vegetarian. Food was excellent, it didn't seem very customizable though, because some things were pre-made, but I will say, it tasted good and there were a lot of options anyway. Prices were decent, cheaper than other options for dining out, but the portions seemed a bit on the smaller side...not ridiculously small, just a bit below what I'd expect. Service was friendly, parking a small hassle. I'd definitely return, but not if I was starving.
Amazing restaurant. Was very pleased with my two visits.
It was great to see that service and food was very consistent throughout my two visits to this location. This location is being well managed and the staff seem to be very happy to work here.
Service: service was great, recommendations were tailored to what you like, service was prompt and courteous and they always checked in no matter who your server was. Providing napkins and filling water.
Food: one of the best tacos I've ever had. Truly enjoyed all the flavours and types. Would definitely recommend to try all their tacos even the mushroom one. The pulled pork and beef were one of my favourites paired with their house sauce. The guacamole and tortilla chips were also amazing. They serve a gluten free version also which is nice.
Atmosphere: amazing decor and love concept of their sunroom. Great spot to dine in during the day.
Overall: would recommend for their great food and even greater service. Consistent and wonderful.
I really hate posting negative reviews. But today’s experience was really not good. . First the staff were claiming I never made an order with them , when I actually did. Mistakes happen. I waited an hour for the order to be completed. I also mentioned I had a gluten allergy. I was given a burrito with gluten and started to have a reaction. I called the location to discuss this, only to be yelled at by a staff member.
Love this place! My favorite tacos in the city and they have good beer and brunch. Staff are all great, fair prices and it’s easy to find parking. Suitable for gluten and dairy free. We recently moved out of downtown but always stop by whenever we make the trip. Please bring back the gluten free brunch huevos rancheros!

Overall, it's a great place for anyone looking for tasty, fresh Mexican-inspired food in a friendly, efficient setting.
Probably my favourite mexican restaurant in the city! Never had anything less than an amazing meal. We hadnt been here in some time and stopped in yesterday and were so lucky that the special for the day was gluten free as my husband is celiac and it was incredible. I literally took the bone home to make broth with the left overs since the pork was so good. Cant wait to be back again!
The food is so delicious- I love the ceviche! Cocktails are really good, and the patio is magical at night, with lanterns and a beautiful Japanese maple. I'm gluten intolerant, and almost everything was gluten free- even the fish tacos are corn battered, not wheat. so fresh and delicious!
This restaurant is fantastic!! As a Mexican, this place brought me back to my country. The decoration is beautiful!! The food is so tasty. I have allergies to dairy, gluten, and paprika, and the lovely chef made a unique fish for me. It was so delicious. My husband and I had a great time there. Recommended 100%
It is a whole experience. The waitress Martin is the most wonderful person. Excellent customer service.

Sooooo delicious!! Everything was fresh and great quality... and gluten free! Definitely will be back!
Oh my goodness those Fajitas were good! The flavor in the chicken/steak/shrimp - wow! (Yes, I had all three) GF corn tortillas, so no problems with gluten. Three waitress was very knowledgeable about my gluten free needs. Way more than I needed as I ordered "dos" which is for two, but then I had great leftovers later.
Food is bomb! Such sweet owners who care alot and are passionate about food. We accidentally ordered food when they were close to closing, yet they made food for us still. Our favourites were the guacamole and al pastor tacos. We also got the birria tacos, enchiladas and the pozole. The owners are so passionate about food it made my day, give this place a try! They care about making their food healthy as well we had a corn dessert that was gluten free and it was delicious. This place is authentic and deserves all the love! Also try their strawberry drink if they have it, we really loved it it was so yummy!

Good here is always amazing and the staff are friendly and efficient. They are great about listing their ingredients too, which makes it for picky people like me to find yummy food. I’m vegan and gluten free. Not sure if it’s celiac friendly though.
The food was super good and they added crushed chips to the bowls. I liked that there is a gluten free tortilla option and that they have mango salsa.
The staff was super nice and an overall great experience!
This my second time here the tacos are good gluten free shells and gluten free chips for the guacamole and chips , my favourite is the shrimp taco ( bare in mind I don’t eat meat) it’s not usually too busy when I go so it’s nice for a good sit down spot to grab some tacos, my favourite part is the choice of sauces from the sauce station, I got two shrimp and one fish didn’t love the fish but it wasn’t horrible it was a little bland the first time I had it was better, but again not horrible, the guacamole and chips was a really good portion for the price. However, I didn’t love the chips they were a little hard and the guacamole did not taste like it was fully ripe.
(It could’ve been just that day). I will definitely go back and try them again… all in all a good taco spot
Wonderful addition to the neighbourhood! Food is freshly prepared, and tasty, and staff are very friendly. And it’s fantastic that they offer gluten-friendly options. Will be a regular visitor!
