100 percent gluten free menu, and good drinks. They have taco specials, I picked the seafood option. The tacos were good, very fancy with the ingredients. I wish I had tried the meat tacos as well. The passion fruit margaritas was also good.

Discovered this place on Tik Tok by a previous guest. Placed this on my must do - to do list to come to when adventuring on my 10 day Oregon roadtrip. Very hard to find places that are “true healthy” restaurants when traveling. Stopped in solo 5-30-25 post breakfast hours but before lunch. Was greeted by Cash - SO NICE, great personality!!!! suggestions were made but ultimately I decided to have the Vegan “tuna” chickpea salad sandwich. I had already had breakfast but wanted a light lunch before going hiking. (Had kitchen cut in half for me to take remainder on my hike). Loved the bread (almost sure and hoping it was gluten free) that was toasted lightly but not so hard it was like a crouton. The side soup was a vegetable type soup. Wow! Seasonings were on point with the sandwich and the soup. Bathroom was clean. ONLY THING that had me sad was no souvenir sticker. I travel all over the US frequently and enjoy collecting stickers. I don’t need cups, shirts when traveling. Please consider getting stickers. If I ever come back to Portland area. Hands down you will have a repeat customer coming back. Thank you!!

We went with Verde Cocina as the caterers for our wedding and could not be more pleased with the decision. Literally everyone came up to us to rave above the food. Having the EVO grill there made for a fun addition to the reception and also really made people feel like they were getting the most fresh high quality food. The cocktails were grabbed up almost immediately. Our only regret there was not buying more cocktails. The first bite of crab cake we got after hours of photo taking and wedding stuff will go down as a top 5 bite of food i've ever had. the sentiments were shared by many. Verde Cocina being a gluten-free restaurant and being very sensitive/aware of dietary restrictions was such a massive relief for us and for guests. Arro(in charge of the catering) was so quick with communication, extremely personable, and made the menu selection process a real joy. He's also just a nice guy, by the time we'd actually gotten married he was so excited to say congrats. Probably more that could be said, but I would just say if you are still looking for a catering option, just contact them. It will be worth exploring.

Absolutely awesome!! Personally living gluten free is difficult to find safe, good food. Verde Cocina delivered. I LOVE Mexican food, but worry about flour cross contamination. Not Here! The food was fresh, hot, tasty and service was spot on perfect. I am now a new regular! Thanks!

This cart is awesome. Something for everyone. I love that it is all gluten free. The blue corn tortillas are fresh and amazing. The mole sauce is very flavorful and delicious as well. Seems there are a limited number of vegan options but the dishes I have tried including the mole enchiladas, and veggie tacos all vegan were really good. I will keep coming back and tell my friends.

This was a great restaurant experience. We had a group of 8 and half of us showed up early and had some cocktails on their patio. Once we were all there we asked if they could seat 8 people and they were able put something together in just a few minutes. The host and waiter were very nice and helpful. The food was amazing. Most of my group got sandwiches or tortas and they had high praise. They regrettably don't have a gluten-free torta option 😞. They did have amazing vegetarian options. I did get a bowl with carnitas and it was still super good. I will definitely eat here again.

We recently ordered takeout from Chilango and were impressed with the deliciousness of everything we tried. The taco campana and mini quesadillas were particular favorites, and I would highly recommend them to any vegan or gluten-free food enthusiasts out there.

Tonight was an awful experience. My order was wrong twice. I ordered corn tortilla tacos and got flour. I’m gluten intolerant so I had to send it back which I hate to do. When the corn tacos came back they were the wrong tacos. I seriously hate to complain, and had to ask the server to just take it off the bill since it was too late and I didn’t want to have to have them remake again. The manger OJ came back and wanted to prove us wrong. And argued with us and said that we were wrong when even our sever admitted the original order was flour tortillas. I understand accidents happen and I wasn’t upset I just didn’t want to pay for something I couldn’t eat. OJ is extremely unprofessional and rude. Matador use to be one of my favorite restaurants and after tonight I won’t be back. The way OJ handled the situation was completely out of line.

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. 🙂 The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

AMAZING FOOD! Got catering for a staff party and was perfect for groups with dietary restriction as everything is gluten free! Staff was incredibly helpful and great to coordinate with. Everyone loved the food and even the left overs are still crispy the day after! A must try if you are in the area!

The store is pleasant and neat. I was greeted warmly and the overall customer service was great! The food was delicious. I ordered one item on the menu for and to my pleasant surprise I also recieved rice, beans, and lettuce on the side. My plate was bigger then I expected and it was so tasty. Really happy I got to drop by today. I asked what the order taker preferred - Ribeye Torta. Incredible! The sauce added some nice spice and smokiness to the perfect cook on the meat, and the nice pickled veggies. Good bread with the Torta as well. Great price per quantity and quality of food. Nice on speed-- have previously been used to waiting ~30 mins for "other carts" on the square. This time the wait was maybe 5 mins. Nice to see veggie options. The tortilla I got was flour, but I forgot to ask about gluten free.

This chipotle is often running behind and misses key parts of orders. Like my salad that came with no lettuce. Getting small queso when I ordered large queso. Or when I ordered crunchy tacos but they gave me soft tacos without telling me (which might seem reasonable except I’m gluten free so I had to just throw them away because nobody in my house can eat gluten. And now one person in the family doesn’t have dinner) I keep coming here because they are the closest to highway 26 and often more “on the way” than other chipotles and delicious when they get it right. But they have about a 50/50 success rate at having my order ready both on time and prepared correctly.
