I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies. My best friend has severe gluten and mushroom allergies, so we were excited to try this fully gluten-free spot. We informed the waitress about her allergies, but it became clear they were not taken seriously. After eating tortilla chips, we were later told the fryer was used for mushrooms—a major cross-contamination issue.
The situation escalated as we anxiously waited to see if an epi-pen or ambulance was necessary. The waitress apologized, but the manager hovered awkwardly, making excuses instead of giving us space to handle the situation. Their poor handling of a life-threatening allergy made an already frightening experience worse. If you have food allergies, avoid this place.

As a Celiac there's few places I feel this safe eating at. Gluten-free items are clearly marked on the menu and employees will immediately take note if you state you have an allergy. The chips are in their own fryer, which is wonderful given that many Mexican restaurants have shared fryers that aren't Celiac/ gluten allergy-friendly.
I also love the atmosphere (fun, vibrant art and very friendly waitstaff) and the food is DELICIOUS! Prices are very fair for portion size, especially for nachos and bowls. 10/10 recommend!
I adore this place. Fire side tables, easy eats thst please a crowd and picky eaters. Fun staff who are friendly and vegan/gluten free options too.
Def try the potato taco.
Only thing I'd like to see them do is start serving horchata and Agua frescas!
Dined here for the gluten free options. The wait staff shared what was gluten free and I believe it was gluten free. We still got sick from cross contamination. It's too bad really as the food was delicious.
As a recently diagnosed celiac avoiding dairy, I love stopping at Condado any time I’m in town visiting family. Their menu marks very clearly which items contain gluten & dairy, and the staff is very knowledgeable about food allergies (plus they’re always so friendly!!). I’ve eaten here a few times and never gotten sick. Their delicious gluten free margs, chips, and tacos gives me a sense of normalcy & it’s all so good!
We had Mike and he was fabulous! He was very familiar with gluten-free options, gave us opinions on “fan favorites”. He was soooooo good…fast, attentive and gave great recommendations!!
Certainly! Here’s a sample review for Mad Mex:

Mad Mex is an absolute gem in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Every visit is a delightful experience filled with vibrant flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic variety of Mexican-inspired dishes, with everything from hearty burritos to fresh and flavorful tacos.
What truly sets Mad Mex apart is the quality of their ingredients and the creativity of their dishes. The Big Azz Margarita is a must-try, and their guacamole is always fresh and delicious. Whether you're a fan of spicy food or prefer something milder, there’s something for everyone.
The service is consistently friendly and efficient, making you feel right at home. The lively and eclectic decor adds to the fun, casual dining experience. Mad Mex also caters well to dietary preferences, with plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Overall, Mad Mex is a go-to spot for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal in a lively, fun environment. Highly recommended.
The chips and fundido was very tasty. The taquitos and tacos carnitas and barbacoa hit the spot. Was a very tasty and gluten free meal! Quinn was great at answering questions and finding out information about what was safe to eat. Thanks, my dude!
Lots of gluten free options, everything was delicious. The lanera steak arepa was perfection. Pabellon will absolutely be a staple on my future Pittsburgh visits.

This Texan transplant never expected to see so many Hispanic staff. We did carry out as we were going through the city but we're pleasantly surprised by the sheet number of Hispanic locals also coming here. After 12 years in Texas and countless vacations in Mexico, this place is pretty legit. The spicy salsa has some pretty good heat so be prepared. Regular mild salsa was mild.
For those with food allergies, they accommodated my daughter who is milk/dairy, egg, gluten, nuts/tree nut allergic. Not many can do that on the fly when they don't claim to be, but they did a slamming job (she's didn't get itchy at all).
A welcome surprise on this 10 hour road trip! Would definitely recommend this place.
Excellent food and friendly people! We’ve tried at least 5 different things and all have been delicious. Appetizer fried paneer in a tomato based sauce, veggies with rice, spinach plate, saag, all very good.vegetarian and gluten-free options . Definitely recommend.
Honestly, one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The staff understood the celiacs concerns we had and made recommendations accordingly. Food was prompt and delicious and GF. Definitely plan to make the trip for another round of grub!!
I am gluten free and our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. I have been going to Emilianos for years and have introduced many of my friends and family to their delicious, well prepared food.
An easy and health food alternative compared to the lucrative junk options out there ! And the care the chipotle management takes to ensure that every Ingredient that goes into their preparation is gluten free and non-gmo let's you enjoy Mexican food without guilt. They keep adding new stuff based in the changing needs. For example , they recently introduced a menu option suitable for low carb diet people which shows their care for the people and is innovative. They also supports school funds and other charity events which is amazing & responsible of them!!
4 stars because, at least twice a month I end up eating a chipotle burrito bowl with one or more Ingredients missing because its simply just finished 🤔 which is unacceptable. They don't give any discounts or coupons to balance out their unavailability which is far more disappointing
My coworker and I both got sick from the food and we had different things. It was mediocre at best. The queso is a huge NO, it’s practically velveeta. Don’t waste your time or money. They also charged for doing corn tortillas instead of flour and I have gluten allergy. Just thought that was a little ridiculous. Wouldn’t return.
Excellent menu for gluten free choices! My husband has dietary restrictions which most restaurants seem unable to comprehend. Those restrictions were taken seriously by the folks at Tasty Taquitos. (Thank you so much!) He was able to unwrap his food and eat without making any adjustments.
My dining goal while in Pittsburgh is to try something new. (Our small town is very limited that way.) So I was happy to see Tinga on the menu. So good!
Everyone in our party loved every bite of their food. Tasty Taquitos is going to be a regular when we're in Pittsburgh.
