Very nice Italian restaurant! Friendly and efficient service. I think the owner knows how to set the mood in the evening! The place is pleasant outdoors. They make gluten-free pasta, so that's nice. The salads, however, aren't amazing.

I recently dined at Layla and had an incredible experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, with options to suit every dietary need, including being Celiac friendly. The staff was wonderful, creating a welcoming atmosphere with their great service and friendly demeanor. The vibe of the restaurant was awesome, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommend!
I have celiac (strictly gluten-free), and I'm vegetarian. I came here because of multiple reviews that were positive for those with celiac disease, and the restaurant overall had good reviews in general. Unfortunately, I had a pretty poor experience. As vegetarian/gluten-free, the waiter recommended a salad or a warm cauliflower dish in a mole sauce. There was some complimentary pickled vegetables with various sauces and fried tortillas/chips that came out, and the waiter assured me the chips were also gluten-free. I began to eat them, and then they came rushing back later to notify me the chips/fried tortillas were in fact NOT gluten-free. At that point, the dinner was mostly ruined. I ate my main course cauliflower dish which was pretty good, though left the restaurant quickly afterwards. Unfortunately, I did get sick soon afterwards from the food, so I can't give a positive review of the restaurant. The restaurant also just handled it by having the waiter apologize, and then still got charged full price for all the items, and also pressured into giving a tip despite all this. Anyway, definitely not going again.

Great place, lots of vegan and gluten free options, really recommend the empanadas they are amazing. A word of warning, the coffee wasn’t great, couldn’t drink it, it was really bad !
Place close to 5th (1 and a half blocks) Italian food 🤌🏽 great flavor, quiet and good to go with the family.
HIGHLIGHTED that it has gluten-free pasta options.
The seafood, fish, and octopus dishes are very good.
Pizza good, 1 is ok for 2 people or children.
Very good portions and they bring vegetables that complement the dishes well.
Great service, very attentive at all times.
Great spot! My server was celiac herself and explained everything that was safe. Almost all pastas can be done gf with gf penne or linguine and most of the apps and larger plates are gf too. I enjoyed the burrata caprese and gf carbonara. Highly recommend!
I hate to have to leave this review because everyone was very kind and the food was absolutely delicious but I am celiac and went specifically because they have a menu with gf items listed (and one of the workers told me they’re celiac while I was there so they know what it means) but the edamame was not marked as one preparation gluten free and the other not, simply as the dish being gf (which it typically is at every restaurant I’ve been to so I didn’t question it). I told the hostess when she asked about food allergies that I was celiac so they gave me the gf menu. I ordered the edamame and the waiter did not tell me that I had to order it the certain way for it to be gf and even prompted us to order it the way that was not gf. Even after the reminder of asking for gf tamari to use, still nothing. Then about 3/4 of the way through he came up and was like oh that version has soy sauce, do you want the gf version. We got multiple apologies from people (especially the worker who mentioned that he was also celiac, ironically no apology or even acknowledgement from our server) but I’m not sure what good an apology does when I’m likely to end up sick for the next few days on my trip. Again, hate to write this review because other than that everything was excellent and I would have given everything 5 stars. Just for any fellow celiacs out there, be extra cautious and tell everyone that you’re celiac/confirm the menu items are actually gf the way you’re wanting them prepared. (Gave the food 5 stars because it is truly delicious and marked service way down for the screw up, though I should note they were lovely and very helpful otherwise).

If you’re a real pizza lover, I’d suggest giving this place a miss. We ordered two Diavola pizzas, one on a gluten-free base with vegan cheese and one regular.
The gluten-free base came at an additional 100 pesos, which is quite steep, but I was curious to try it. Unfortunately, what arrived was more like a 1mm-thin tostada with a small amount of melted vegan cheese, no tomato sauce, and just four slices of what seemed like very basic salami. It really didn’t resemble a pizza in any way and was sent back straight away. Thankfully, we weren’t charged for it, which I appreciated.
As for the regular pizza, it wasn’t much better. It looked like something from a very low-end all-inclusive buffet. The tomato sauce was unusually dark and definitely didn’t taste like San Marzano as advertised. The base was flat, undercooked, and lacked any real flavour or texture.
On the plus side, the service was excellent. The waiter was kind, attentive, and very apologetic. I really felt for him, as he did his best in a tough situation.
As an Italian who has lived abroad for over 20 years, I’ve had pizza in all kinds of settings and don’t consider myself particularly picky. But sadly, this just didn’t come close to what I’d consider pizza, especially at these prices. Piola used to be great years ago, but something seems to have changed. I won’t be returning.
My son said that the tacos were the best he'd ever had.
The food was amazing, and you can't beat the view.
We have some picky eaters in our family and my wife can't have gluten because she is celiac. We all loved what we ordered and my wife felt safe eating there because of their clearly marked menu for gluten allergy.
I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
We love ziggys!!! We stayed at a nearby hotel and came here for breakfast one day, and ended up coming back every day for the rest of our trip. The restaurant on the beach is amazing and the staff is incredibly nice. We had 3 celiac and 1 nut allergy in our group, and they were able to accommodate us so easily with no issues. All the food was so good!! Some highlights were the pork belly enchiladas, tuna tacos and egg tacos. Thank you to the staff for creating such a beautiful and friendly atmosphere, we will definitely be back!
Wow, wow, wow! Rarely have I had such good service! Sangria was extremely good (tip: order the 1/2 liter straight away, it's cheaper 😉). Pizza bread was amazing too! Ravioli too! Gluten-free pasta is also served. Every heart beats faster 🙏🏼

I love this restaurant! Beautiful decor, excellent service and the gluten free menu offered so many options. The Pad Thai chicken was delicious and gluten free. I rarely eat out because of my gluten allergy but I'm so glad I ate (multiple times) at Sasi Thai. The lady playing the saxophone was great. The other people who didn't have any food allergies loved the variety of food and delicious meals.
The birria ramen is the most amazing thing i’ve ever eaten, recommend so much. Birria tacos are my fave thing ever and the ramen is just so amazing. The menu is quite small yet the dishes are so fab. They cater well to allergens, e.g coeliac. Defo recommend xx
Meal of a lifetime. Truly the highlight of our time in Tulum. My husband is celiac and very picky. He had a fabulous time enjoying all the gluten free flavors on the menu. The service was incredible. We will never forget the deliciousness.
Absolutely fun and delicious dinner - the place was totally happening. The food was great and the cocktails were really well balanced. We had an amazing closing night to our stay in Tulum. They also catered to the gluten sensitive guests within our team.

Awesome gluten free and vegan options. My wife has a severe egg allergy and they made a great Vegan Chille Relleno for her. My Conchinita Pibil was perfectly cooked and spiced! Brenda was so kind, quick, and accommodating. Thank you!
Hole in the wall place that has super thick pizza so if you want bread come here. If you're gluten free it's a thinner crust but still delicious. Deff where locals go and they also deliver. Check your food when leaving because they accidentally gave us one pizza that wasn't gluten free. It looked like it had two crusts as a base to hold all the toppings.
Mussel pizza was the besttttttt
Great service and the mole was the best I’ve ever had in the yucatan. Try the crickets they are not as bad as you might think and make for fun pictures. This is definitely on the expensive side but the atmosphere was well worth it. Check out the small cenote nearby across the street! They were very good with gluten and dairy allergies.
If there is one place in Tulum that one needs to eat at, it is Onyx Tulum. The food is simply incredible! This place is great for people looking for great gluten free options and the staff are so good about ensuring my daughter who has celiac disease has good food to eat.
The highlight of the whole amazing meal was Barbara. She is by far the #1 hospitality professional that we had the pleasure of meeting. If you’re lucky you get to have her be your guide thru the amazing culinary and drink experience at Onyx.
European style restaurant. Somewhat small portions, significantly higher than average cost.
The waiter was friendly, spoke English and helped with a gluten free dish.
Excellent food and patient, attentive service.
Laura answered all our questions and we were pleased to know the entire menu, including pasta, is made with corn. Two of us are gluten sensitive so happy to find Maíz Maix! Music was a bit loud but otherwise ok.
I had an excellent experience! I'm celiac and I had 3 meals here, all with great service. At dinner there are usually musicians, there is no cover charge, but it's worth the tip because they are very good!!
5 stars!! We had a group of eight including one with gluten allergy, one with a dairy allergy and even a child. We all found something to order and we all loved our meals! The salsas are the best part! Don’t skip this place when in Cancun
We had dinner here a few days ago and we really liked the customer service, the filet mignon, the octopus and the tiramisu. They also have several gluten-free options. We will eat here again if we are in Cancun again 😃
Fantastic and inspired food, great service, Coral and Luis took such good care of us as well as the rest of the restaurant team. We are gluten free (celiac) and they understood and made everything easy and brought extraordinary food and drinks and dessert with amazing music from Alex and Alex. We only mark it 5 stars because we can't do 12. Love this place. We went twice in our one week trip.

They have a Gluten Free menu!!! It is so difficult to find somewhere that understands what gluten is let alone take it seriously. There was a decent amount of GF options and the non alcoholic cocktails were delicious. The staff were knowledgable about gf as I believe the owner is gf. The sushi was delicious - the best I’ve tried on the island. The atmosphere was lovely and different for Cozumel which is nice. They offer a great promotions so the price is reasonable.
Great food and friendly service. Really fun place for a birthday dinner, they brought out instruments and sombreros and a big sparkler with a flan for dessert. I’m gluten intolerant and they were helpful in accommodating my dietary restrictions. The enchiladas verdes were delicious, though portions were a bit small for that dish. My girlfriend got the coconut shrimp and enjoyed it too.
Gluten free friendly. If you love seafood this is the place to go. It is also very romantic and enjoyable atmosphere. The drinks are all also very good with Great prices. The alligators are not always there so you might not see them. Great people working there.
This was a great casual sushi place. The food was delicious and they had gluten free soy sauce and were helpful with the menu! The server was lovely and vibes were good
Super service, our waiter was very attentive and the captain was also very attentive to everything. Good food but price quality not so much, still the experience is great and very delicious drinks. Gluten-free options.
Just go. Super great staff, incredible tacos. Gluten free and vegan options but also lots of choice for meat lovers, amazing cocktails, cozy spot. Loved it here! Had the hibiscus tacos and anchito papachito cocktail. 10/10 recommend.
A very nice and cozy restaurant.
The staff immediately asks about any allergies upon arrival.
They then explain which dishes on the menu are gluten-free.
Dishes that don’t contain gluten but may have cross-contamination are also clearly indicated.
We had a lovely dinner and a great evening.
Asian fusion restaurant with a Thai centric menu 🐅
The meal was so satisfying! We thoroughly enjoyed every dish:
- Tuna aguachile (try it with the house chili oil for extra kick 🌶️ )
- Crispy rice salad (delicious side with an amazing explosion of flavors and textures)
- Meat balls (make your own lettuce wrap! Love the sweet chili sauce)
- Lamb red curry (the addition of pineapple balances the smoked meat and creamy curry beautifully)
- Fried Chicken (juicy fried chicken 🍗 with a tasty side of pickled cucumbers)
The food is great for sharing.
Gluten-free dishes are clearly denoted on the menu 📝

The food is absolutely amazing. The pulled pork is their speciality and is phenomenal. Highly recommend the pork Panuchos. The staff were also really helpful making sure my wife, who is coeliac, could eat safely.
We are a family of 4, 2 eat gluten free. It was easy to get GF meals. We ate here 2 times during our trip and was very happy with the meals, service and price. Only one building off 5th ave, you would expect to pay higher prices but it was only 1/3 the price of our meal at Guy Fieri place right next door and the atmosphere was great. They have an open grill where they cook all the meats, the smells are wonderful and my wife thought the margarita was very good. Also the beans were extremely good. I would eat just a plate of them for a meal. We recommend this place.
