Fantastic service, good food and drinks but the atmosphere left a bit to be desired. I came here with a group of 9 people, and we were seated in the back room where I guess they put the bigger groups. The smaller front room with the bar seemed like way more of a vibe with the lighting, decor and music but the back room was kind of big and boring with bright overhead lighting. The food wasn't mind blowing but it was totally solid and I was very pleased with the number of gluten free options and the staff's knowledge and detail about cross contamination, ensuring that I would be safe to eat here as a person with celiac disease. The highlights were the amazing gluten free churros (!!!) and our wonderful server. If you're with a big group, they can definitely support that but I hope they can improve the vibes of that back space. I would come back, maybe with a smaller group, and sit in the more vibey front bar area and honestly I'd come back just for the churros they were so good!
I can only put 1 star cause I went there for the vegan gluten free crust & they were out. Sooooo they had nothing else I could eat which was disappointing
4/16/25: dinner with a friend. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we lost track of time. We started the evening sitting outside, but the gusty wind drove us inside to a beautiful table by the window. The staff made this transition very smooth despite it being a busy day at the restaurant. My friend claimed that her drink was excellent although a bit on the strong side. I enjoyed the gluten-free chicken masala and she said that the happy hour hamburger, which she had on a gluten-free bun, was excellent. Our total for dinner for two, with shared brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and the one cocktail was about $76 before tip.
What an amazing experience!! Every detail was thoughtfully executed. Our party had a dairy & gluten allergy and our waiter Jeff was impeccable with his knowledge and helpful advice. Our wine was amazing and each dish, we were excited to share only one bite with each other! Dessert was delish and the after dinner drinks were wonderful. If I could give 6 stars I would!!! Thank you Jeff … until next time!! xoxo

WOW! This place exceeded expectations. I was nervous because we had a party of 11(8 adults and 3 children). They don't accept reservations but we were sat instantly at 6pm. This is a great location for people looking to have separate checks and order when you are ready. They are organized and efficient. We ordered the food and it came out in less than 10 minutes. My family ordered nacho fries, fajitas (half chicken/half asada), wings, and 4 on the rocks margaritas flight. It was $105 all together but worth every penny. Presentation, quality of food, and atmosphere were exceeded expectations. We sat with our party on the patio table 1 and 3. Our whole party had fun. They had two mix ups with some of our parties food due to misunderstandings. One person is gluten intolerant and was able to order but got there food in delay. I didn't get any food pictures because the kids were hungry but the portions are not small. I recommend the flights.
Great sushi! Really awesome to find high quality fresh fish in the desert. Nice variety of signature rolls, nigri, and more. Extensive wine list too, we enjoyed some sake. Server was very accommodating for my gluten allergy and recommended gluten free options. Look forward to coming back!
Sammy G’s was quite a fancy looking spot although when I went everything seemed to be in some defunct stage, waiting for parties later on. My guests were sat on a patio lined with cheesy St Patrick’s day decorations and I sipped on a “Blue Lady” while contemplating the cultural meaning of the giant blow-up rainbow flowing into a pot of gold lined with shamrocks, towering above our table. Surrounding us on all the lamp posts were tasteless metallic green four leaf clovers with confetti script cheering on the event. These symbols mean next to nothing to me or anyone else out here, nor is Sammy’s culturally related to the Irish whatsoever. It’s seems to be just weirdly branded nonsense reason to drink a lot at this point. Does anyone even know who Saint Patrick was?
For one, Saint Patrick wasn’t even named Patrick. His name was Maewyn Succat and he was a Christian missionary who brought religion to the Irish pagans. He effectively brainwashed a culture of beautiful pagan beliefs just as Christian missionaries did to most nearly every culture on this planet. And legend has it that he did so by teaching the Holy Trinity using a 3 leaf clover. Notice all the celebratory symbolism on this fake holiday represents 4 leaf clovers, leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold, all of which have nothing to do with the saint who eradicated these types of Irish myths and beliefs.
Seeing this beautiful Italian restaurant decorated with gaudy junk representing a bizarre holiday truly took away from the experience.
The pasta and pizzas offered gluten free options which was amazing. And when I was finished with the Blue Lady, I had the Red Lady. I recommend sticking with Blue.
I’ve always wondered why there isn’t an option to rate the drinks. There’s only the option to rate food. But they were decent, not the best.
Still, I’d come back for the bolognese. Incredible.
Our server was Edgar and he was very helpful/knowledgeable about what contained gluten and what would be cross contaminated. For instance, he told me the bacon wrapped dates are fried in a contaminated fryer. He and the rest of the staff were very understanding and helpful in communicating with me and the kitchen. I enjoyed the Cobb salad, garlic mashed potatoes and petite filet mignon. All were divine, but I wish there was more garlic in the mashed potatoes. Didn’t feel sick after eating here. I would recommend this spot to fellow celiacs if you’re looking for a steak dinner while in Palm Springs.
It was a bar like setting nothing fancy and a little loud indoors. They had a great option to eat outdoors. Lots of gluten free choices and all food was good for the six of us dining. They have a nice parking lot.
The staff was great, the food was OK. Not a great place for celiac. Non celiac hubby liked his burger but fries (krinkle cut) were left uneaten. My salad was just ok, iceberg lettuce.
I can't thank Trio Restaurant enough for catering our family Christmas celebration! They did an absolutely incredible job, and it was one of the highlights of our entire week. We had 19 people in our group, and Trio took care of every detail.
Night one featured a delicious spaghetti dinner with mushroom ravioli, and night two was a spectacular three-course meal, including braised short ribs and Scottish salmon. What truly stood out was how accommodating they were—offering gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options for some of our family members without any hassle.
A special thank you to Josh and KC, who not only cooked but also served us with such warmth and professionalism. So many family members came up to me after dinner saying it was the best meal they’d ever had! Your staff was incredibly kind, courteous, and professional, exceeding all expectations.
I’m so grateful for all your help throughout the year as we planned this event. Your flexibility, guidance, and commitment to making our celebration perfect truly made a difference. The meal was unforgettable, and we’ll be talking about it for years to come!
The crab stuffed artichokes are unbelievably delicious. I'm gluten-free so I'm hoping that Rubin and Ozzy will consider substituting panko for breadcrumbs in a GF alternative. Irene is a fabulous server, sweet, attentive and very efficient. She made us feel so welcome. We arrived just after 6 on a Monday night and chose to be seated on the patio. We were celebrating my friend's birthday. Unfortunately, until sundown, the flies were really annoying. I would encourage the proprietors to take steps to resolve or at least mitigate the problem with the overhead fans. Traditionally, Scampi does not include mushrooms or onions. I probably wouldn't order it again. But Irene told us that it's very popular and encouraged us to try Ruben's Special instead next time. We will! Thank you, Irene. We're looking forward to dining there again soon. That friggin' artichoke is calling my name!
Our experience at this restaurant was SO disappointing. I ordered drink off the menu and had to tell them what went in it, then it came totally wrong. We asked if there was a gluten free cracker option for the hummus, were told YES then when the dish arrived there was no gluten free option and told by the same person who told us we could get them that they don’t exist at all. Salmon totally over cooked, 2 salads ordered did not come with many of the ingredients listed on the menu- basically 2 tossed salads for $30 each. The fish tacos were fine, but everything was beyond over priced, and our server seemed like he had never served before, which seems weird in a high end restaurant. Do. Not. Recommend.
Smokin burgers is open until 12 am which is highly convenient.
Menu has a lot of items ,vegan & gluten free options are slim.
Burger sliders were amazing for what they're priced at.
Fries are (identical to McDonald's fries ( which I personally like) I didn't know about this I was shocked as well.
The chicken tacos are well prepared & delicious.
Both dishes came out hot & in a timely manner , our coca cola was freshly squeezed from the gun.
Sauces are premium, they taste very well. ( I wouldn't say home made though (maybe)
Salad was okay ( to little Parmesan for my taste however this was a side salad for $10) portion was okay.
Our waiter was great, highly attentive at all times.
We had Dessert which I didn't get a picture of , make sure to ask for a dessert menu ( they have really good desserts that come out warm with a vanilla scoop of ice cream.
We had a warm butter cake with ice cream & hit the spot after the mains , I highly recommend it.
If you sit indoors be ready it might get obnoxiously loud (have in mind it is a bar as well)
Some of our dishes were delicious! This review is more about the claim that they PRIDE themselves on gluten free. This would be ok if you just preferred to not eat gluten. But as one member of our party had a celiac allergy we were excited to eat here based on their website and claims. Unfortunately, the only gluten free option was GF bread, and they do not have a separate fryer or grill for fries or bread. There were only a few possible items that were truly gluten free and the server, tho very understanding, wasn’t sure about some of the sauces and food items.
In conclusion: this place had yummy options for non-celiac people. Myself and the other person in our group enjoyed our food. But it was disappointing to expect more options based on their website and reviews and show up to having to carefully select and not be able to have the freedom of a carefree brunch.
Came here for gluten free options and the food and service were fantastic. Wedge salad, short rib polenta eggs benedict, and decaf espresso were excellent. My SO said the regular espresso was excellent too!
Highly re
Don’t miss this little gem! Whether you’re seated inside or out, the atmosphere is unmatched. Food and service were both excellent. We found through an Eater article and loved every minute. I have celiac and waiter was super accommodating and knowledgeable.
