This is a great restaurant for a nice night out - perfect if you are attending theater at S.F. Playhouse (just next door), or the Toni Rembe theater (ACT’s home stage, formerly the Geary) or the Curran, both a block or two away on Geary. The food is delicious Mediterranean — I recommend the Branzino or Salmon — it’s well-marked for gluten free or vegetarian, and the staff is warm and friendly. The vibes are fantastic. This restaurant took over Farallon’s old space, and features all the beautiful sea decor, including lamps like swimming jellyfish and the mosaic tiles of an old public pool decorated with sea gods and goddesses. A must-do in Union Square!
Incredibile meal. The service was lovely, in a sweet cozy environment looking out over the street. But even with these points, the food was the star. The leeks and the beef bourguignon were out of this world. I advised the server that I couldn’t eat gluten and she took great care of me. Highly recommend!
This is my favourite place for breakfast when visiting for many reasons. Firstly they are open early and I’m always up early. Secondly the staff are always so friendly. And finally the food is fantastic, from the server knowledge of gluten free options to the efficient and tasty service from the kitchen. The fresh OJ is great, but the whole menu is really good.
