Apponaug is a fantastic Rhode Island brewery. Typical (but beautiful) industrial/converted mill aesthetic, great food (including gluten free options for my wife), and a wide variety of beer styles. They generally have a strong German lineup (Kolsch, pils, schwartzbier, Vienna) alongside more modern styles (ipa, NEIPA, Mexican lager). Services is always friendly , and the outdoor space is amazing when it's not raining.

This is definitely a Gluten Free haven. I ordered the Cesar salad without breadcrumbs which is pretty simple. But the state for the romaine was excellent. No wilting or browning lettuce and plenty of dressing.
We brought a dessert home to share later and that was DEVINE! Their Gluten free Strawberry Shortcake might be the best version I’ve had, even compared to many with gluten I’ve had in the past. (9/9/25)
