The restaurant staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food is delicious. We will definitely be back again. Especially since they are safe for celiacs. We recommend them!
Love the chicken soup but paying $3.50 for one slice of tiny gluten free bread (not gf by choice) is a little steep. Sometimes I’ve had two slices, sometimes one thick slice… sometimes grilled other times not - not consistent
Fantastic cafe, delicious food, relaxing and cool ambience, and charming staff.
We came a bit late and the kitchen was closed, but the staff were very kind and accommodated us where they could, ensuring the experience was still great. They made sure to cook our gluten free meals for our coeliacs with care, so we felt very reassured. Awesome coffee too!
Awesome find for a lovely, generous, gluten free pizza and cocktail. Love the decor! Not that cheap but took half my pizza home for another meal the next day.
The mushroom pho is to die for!!
The broth is so rich & tasty, not bland like vegan pho often is.
And just look at all those mushies!!
So incredibly tasty, by far the best vegan & gluten free pho I’ve ever had.
Highly recommend!
Good brunch options - gluten free available! Amazing Bloody Mary’s. There was a 20-30min wait for table, as it’s very popular. the staff were lovely. The only draw back is they were understaffed so food took a little too long to come out and wasn’t hot enough by then, but they were aware and apologetic. Can’t be helped. Will definitely come back :)
Been meaning to try for a long time as it is local. We will definitely be back. Yummy food! Clean, good service with a funky vibe. Also lots of Coeliac options. Highly recommend.
Had a not great experience at this cafe yesterday, which is a shame as I otherwise really love the place. Despite discussing my gluten intolerance I was given regular wheat toast (not what I had ordered) and only realised this after a couple of bites. The staff member who made the error was lovely and apologetic. When I went to settle up I paid for the meal as normal, which I didn’t think too much of it at the time, but in hindsight it occurred to me that expecting a customer to pay full price for a meal that has essentially compromised their health does not provide a strong incentive to return (nor does it give the appearance that food intolerances are taken seriously). If you are a gluten intolerant or coeliac person I would be extra-cautious when eating here.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zambrero's, and my experience was elevated significantly thanks to a remarkable employee named Jack. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and the enticing aroma of fresh ingredients, but it was Jack's exceptional service that truly stood out.
Jack greeted me with a warm smile and a friendly demeanour, instantly making me feel welcome. His enthusiasm for the menu was contagious, and he took the time to walk me through the various options, highlighting the unique flavours and combinations available. As someone who can be indecisive when faced with a plethora of delicious choices, I greatly appreciated his patience and expertise.
What particularly impressed me was Jack's knowledge about dietary preferences and restrictions. He was attentive to my needs and offered insightful suggestions for gluten-free and vegetarian options without missing a beat. His genuine interest in ensuring I had a great dining experience was evident, and he went above and beyond to customise my order to perfection.
When it came time to prepare my meal, Jack's attention to detail and skill were on full display. He crafted a burrito bowl for me with precision, ensuring each ingredient was fresh and proportionate. The result was a delicious, satisfying meal that exceeded my expectations.
Beyond the food, Jack's positive attitude and excellent customer service made my visit memorable. He checked in with me after I started eating to ensure everything was to my liking and even offered a few extra tips on how to enhance the flavors with their various sauces and sides. It's rare to encounter someone who is not only proficient at their job but also genuinely passionate about creating a wonderful experience for their customers.
In addition to Jack's stellar service, the overall ambiance of Zambrero's was inviting and clean. The modern decor and comfortable seating provided a pleasant environment to enjoy my meal. The restaurant was well-maintained, and the staff seemed to work seamlessly together, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Zambrero's was outstanding, thanks in large part to Jack. His exceptional service, combined with the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere, makes Zambrero's a standout choice for anyone looking for a great dining experience. I highly recommend stopping by and, if you're lucky, you'll get to experience Jack's top-notch hospitality firsthand.
Very fun place to go for Dutchies and non-Dutchies. Great food, good service. They sell some Dutch pantry staples as well (drop, hagelslag, kruidkoek…). There are gluten free options available. I’ve shared the Bitterballen and Kapsalon. Also enjoyed the Frikandel Speciaal and Patatje Oorlog.
They have a very good range of Belgian and Dutch beers. Last time I visited they had Delirium on tap. Non-alcoholic options available too.
One of my fav breakfast spots in Melbourne. I would cross the city in peak hour traffic for their gluten free, vegan avocado toast. Chai latte is always good too. Staff are lovely, ambiance is really cool.
Have never tried anything else and I couldn’t be happier. Will be back soon!!
Great family friendly atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating options whether you want to sit in, out, or in between. Nice selection of local beers and spirits, they’re all a step up from the typical ones you see, which was great. Some lovely different ones on offer too. Food menu represents Brunswick really well - Aussie takeaway goes overseas with pizza, dim sims, potato cakes and shawarma! Lots of vegan and gluten free options. It’s roomy, but still cozy, festive and clean. Well worth a visit.
I recently discovered this hidden gem, and it instantly became my favorite restaurant ever. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing my friends and family along!
What truly sets this place apart is that they offer two separate full menus—one vegan and one non-vegan—which is something I’ve never seen before. As a vegan, I was thrilled to find such a wide variety of gluten-free mock meat options. My menu was full of delicious Indian and Asian dishes, and I couldn’t believe everything was both vegan and gluten-free.
The experience went beyond just food—the owner was absolutely lovely. He played music with genuinely good taste, taught us a new board game, and even showed us a magic trick, which made the night unforgettable.
I can’t wait to return and explore more of their amazing offerings. This place has a unique soul, and I’m so glad I found it!
So happy to have found this vegan place. I had a lovely coffee and a take away gluten free savoury tart as well as a mushroom toastie. Delicious food and gorgeous atmosphere. Finally the music was great. Highly recommend.
Found this place almost by accident, but really enjoyed the warmth and casual vibe, fast service on a busy, rainy winter night and simple menu. Waitress was quick to help with suggestions re veg, vegan and gluten free options. Mohito was tasty but alcohol content a bit lower than usual. Seated me despite obviously being pretty busy. Enjoyed the cactus and Mushroom tacos and guacamole. All very fresh and corn chips were particularly crisp and original. Managed to park in the United op shop parking lot next door, after hours.
Enjoyed the delicious gluten free Istra thick cut bacon for brunch. As a Coeliac, I have had great communication with the cafe and know that gf toast can be cooked separately, and fries are cooked in a deep fryer that doesn't have any gluten containing items cooked in it. Very reassuring for a person with Coeliac Disease. I enjoyed the coffee too.
