Celiac here! I haven’t ate fish & chips in 8 years and Daves fish & chips did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and fresh. Had halibut, salmon, yam fries and coleslaw. We will definitely be back!
Sam was an absolute delight and was so careful with our celiac disease gluten free needs. They absolutely went above and beyond to ensure we had both a safe and memorable delicious experience. We highly recommend Sam, their front of house team, and the back end staff, if you’re someone with Celiac or allergies. 10/10
Outstanding service and food options. Even had GF fish and chips! (made separately -- safe for celiac). GF menu annotations. Favorite restaurant Ive found in Richmond.
Harriet was a wonderful server, attentive, friendly and helpful. Immensely enjoyed the food the atmosphere and great service. My mom and I came for lunch and had a wonderful time.
Thank you so much for a great experience.
I have been here many many times but my Mom is going to come more often with friends and family thank you!!!
Best Gluten-free bun on delicious Salmon burger with the tastiest Truffle Fries. Gangway Salad has wonderful dressing and full of yummy items.
We were so full but decided to have the chocolate mousse with strawberry topping for dessert and it was so good we ate it all ! A definite must try 👍🏼
Love ordering from the tablet at the table. No need to rush or have staff ask if you're ready yet. Also lists the ingredients which is great. More vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items needed. No gluten free labelling on the menu 😔 It's a busy spot so arrive before you are hungry or make a reservation. Not a quiet spot, but a trendy spot to meet up. Food is quite good and lots of different items to try. Large pieces or quality sashimi. Higher end then other local spots so expect that in the pricing as well but Worth it
Corner table with a great water view started off our great dinner. Loved the mushroom perogies and my husband enjoyed his gluten free wings and the tuna tataki. Servers were all really friendly as well. We will be back.
Food is great and the girl that was working was soooo delightful, made sure everything I picked was gluten free without asking, because of my allergy! She was great and very polite. Food was delicious!!
When we arrived, we were given both the regular and lunch menus. We decided to order from the lunch menu; one perogy pizza meal and one classic burger meal. Up to this point, everything was going well: the wait was short, the server was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
About five minutes later, the waitress informed us that the lunch menu was no longer available and that the kitchen had stopped making those items as it was around 3:03pm. My wife decided to stick with the perogy pizza meal, and the waitress accepted her order. I asked her to place the same order I originally wanted; the classic burger meal. She confirmed and even asked if I wanted it gluten-free, to which I said no. It wasn’t a big deal, just a minor inconvenience and a slight increase in price.
When the food arrived, I was given two perogy pizza meals. I let them know I had ordered the classic burger. They apologized and took it back.
The waitress returned to explain that I had ordered the perogy pizza, mentioning something about the crust. I clarified that I only heard her ask that for my wife’s order. She said the kitchen had already made the pizza, and I replied that I would have preferred a handheld item instead. She then informed me that handhelds weren’t available at that time, despite it only being 3:30 p.m., when those items are usually on both the lunch and dinner menus. She never confirmed our revised order with us, and it felt like we were expected to accept what the kitchen had prepared. Not wanting to make a scene, I reluctantly agreed.
We ended up paying over $60 for a meal that should have cost around $30 from the lunch menu, and we didn’t even get what we originally wanted. On top of that, no one offered refills on our drinks. If I could give this experience zero stars, I would. I’ve been to this location before, and it’s never been this disappointing in terms of service.
Great gluten free options!
Very impressed with the quality of the prawns
Both really enjoyed our meals.
We accidentally arrived very close to their afternoon close and they stayed late for us, thank you for being so accommodating!
Steak with prawns was very tasty, there were four of us. Service is very nice and accommodating, even with special requests. Gluten free etc... Burgers and salts were very nicely prepared. One of the best meals we had in 3 weeks in Canada. Thank you 😉 gladly again....
P.s. As a drink I would recommend “The Brazilien”, similar to Mojito, only with kiwi🍸😋
Food keeps getting worse and more expensive to boot. I’ve had guacamole made with underripe avocado for $6; now they’re charging $10 for that as a side. The meat quality in the tacos is not great, there is zero consistency to the point I didn’t know if my delivery order was wrong or if they just made me something that wasn’t on the menu for some reason…I couldn’t even tell if the meat was beef or not. I want to support local places and I know costs are up for restaurants but I’m incredibly disappointed with the last several times I’ve ordered takeout and the last time we dined in my mom was served the not gluten free fish tacos when we’d specifically asked for gluten free (she got battered fish). It was not busy. It’s a real shame
Great Breakfast cafe , coffee was excellent ( Australian opinion ) and the food delicious. Staff were able to help with gluten and dairy free variations to the menu so we had an excellent breakfast. Pretty funky cafe so a great place to get breakfast and so close to the airport which was handy . Worth going
My mom got the salted caramel latte with oak milk then we wait 10-15 minutes for the food and it was blaned and most of the menu was Asin and if you're gluten free theres not alot to eat
Flavours lacking, gluten free options lacking, hostess was more interested in her phone than customers. Waitress was friendly and provided good service.
Pasta is super delicious and flavorful :-) I love the saba miso cream fettuccine and crab cream croquette! They're suuper umami and have a great Japanese twist. Would love if Wasuta brought back gluten free pasta so I can bring my gluten-intolerant friends here!! 🥺💗
Server and host were friendly and provided fast service. The orders were correct and the food was good and came quickly. They have many gluten free options.
Restaurant failed to accommodate food allergy and almost hospitalized a family member,
Went in Sunday, everyone ordered their food, family member ordered a gluten wise meal and we informed the server it wasn’t a preference but celiac, servers acknowledge and wrote it down, runner brought food out and mentioned “gluten wise with celiac” her stomach began hurting but not an alarming amount and then hours later she was vomiting and stuck in the bathroom for an entire day and is still physically ill. She will need around 2 weeks to recover from this immune attack. We assume cross contamination because anything worse like blood wouldve resulted in the hospital for a couple days.. severely disappointed this restaurant has bed ridden her and caused food trauma, theres 0 solutions that can fix this this is an FYI to anyone who has food allergies to AVOID this establishment we can’t feel safe returning, service was also eh ontop so an awful experience all around.
I really don’t want to see a half hearted “sorry you had a bad experience let us know how we can make it better” response, have a more sterile restaurant before you kill someone.
This was also the only dining experience we had in the past week that wasn’t a safe meal at home so it was 100% white spots fault.
The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered a "Before and After" burger and a gluten-free Nashville hot chicken burger. Our waiter, Jot, was extremely helpful and enthusiastic. One of us required a gluten-free diet, so he asked the chef to substitute the buns with lettuce and also prepared a special grilled Nashville chicken for the burger. Jot went the extra mile for us, making our experience truly wonderful!
As a suggestion for the future, it would be great to have gluten-free buns available as an option.
How could we NOT visit an A&W while visiting from the States! These are fading away in the States - and this location did not disappoint at all. Great experience.
Dining at 8:30pm - nearly empty when we arrived - food was fantastic! Great tasting grass fed beef, fresh, crispy fries, and they offered a lettuce wrapped burger for my Gluten Free family members.
We couldn't find anything about the toppings or condiments to dock them on! Portions and preparation were spot on and had no qualms about eating here.
Tables were all clean, restrooms were as well. It's a great fast-food option if you're in the area - and that is the only reason they got a 4 out of 5 on atmosphere... If I could give a 4.5 I would.
Delicious food and great service! I have a gluten allergy and the staff was able to point out exactly what menu items I could have and what I would need to substitute if I wanted something different. I ended up getting the lamb and chicken shawarma plate and it was so good.

Had a cod burger and unlimited chip. Have gluten free burger option. The burger is good and filling but inconsistent chips as some are soggy. But worth the money
