If you have celiac disease I do not recommend you eat here.
To the owner, please review celiac and cross contamination with your staff and double check ingredients/labeling/storage/prep areas. My partner was glutened last night after the staff member assured him both the fish and chips and onion rings were gluten free and cooked in a dedicated fryer. He isn’t the only one that’s had an issue here either so something isn’t right. We know he takes a risk every time he eats out but please review your protocols.
We had heard such good reviews from other celiacs and sadly he was super sick because of it. Food was delicious but not safe!

First time dining at Rustica - awesome experience. Our party of 5 sat on their beautiful patio, decked out with plants and flowers. Our server Thomas was fantastic. Very knowledgeable with all our questions and made great recommendations. Everything was incredibly tasty, highly recommend the sweet chili nduja pizza and cacio e pepe! One celiac in the family loved the gluten free gnocchi, too. Will definitely return next time in Orillia. Thanks, Thomas!!

We happen to walk into Shine looking for something quick to eat for lunch !! What we did not expect was to have a truly delicious meal!! I have celiac disease and my partner walked in there to see what they had! this is a plant based restaurant and we didn’t know!! I had the Tuscan sandwich which from the first bite to the last was an explosion of flavour! My partner had what was called a dirty burger which he said was delicious!! We both had the potato wedges which were delicious!! Top off with a refreshing glass of lemonade! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is vegetarian vegan or has celiac or who is just gluten free you will not be disappointed!! We definitely will be back !!

Avoid if you have an allergy!
We had been long term customers of Thai Plate. The food is decent and well priced.
The last time we got takeout, we specifically reminded the call taker that we needed gluten free. When we got home, we realized that at least half the meal was full of gluten and therefore three out of four people in our home could not eat it. When we called back to inquire, we were told they would make the dishes gluten-free, but when we attended to pick up, they attempted to charge us full price for the new dish. The person we spoke to was downright arrogant, this wasn't their error, except it was.
Every time we have eaten in at the restaurant, there has been flies all around. They have shoved tables wherever they can fit them without doing any modification to have a cohesive space.
We won't be returning here. One person can ruin a restaurant.

We went there on a road trip my husband is gluten and lactose intolerant. they were so helpful and carefull . The waitress/manager recommended the Burger and the gluten free bun was to die for... I am not gluten free but I also ate it to try ...everyone needs to get these buns!!!

We booked the private room for 16 of us for my Moms 70th surprise birthday brunch party. Everything was perfect! The rest of the family was settled before the birthday girl arrived. Vaughn greeted my parents, husband, brother, sister in law and I at the entry. He played a perfect role and said our table was booked in the next room. Door opens and Surprise! My Mom was thrilled. Ashley and Vaughn took great care of the entire group, the room, food including gluten free options, specialty coffees and brunch margaritas were fabulous.
