The food is consistently good. I have been here a couple times when we visit the area. A bit on the salty side and lacking in veg options. Most things are gluten-free which is important for myself due to celiac disease. We find it on the pricey side in comparison to other Mexican or Latin eateries. Service is always fantastic, and they have a nice patio.
Absolutely incredible. Have been at least 20 times in 2 years. Always fresh and incredibly tasty. My wife is celiac and allergic to wheat and it’s safe here
While they have nice seating, good gluten free options, and friendly staff, it is too expensive for what you get, small portions, with clearly frozen fries.
This is the best bakery I have ever been to. The staff working are always OUTSTANDING. So friendly and provide amazing service, making you feel welcome and really make you want to go back.
Prices are so reasonable. I’m often surprised at how affordable my bill is, especially with how good the quality of the food and how amazing the service.
I have celiac and can only eat gluten free, and black honey bakery ALWAYS has a selection of items safe for me to eat. I often go to other places who quickly run out of their gluten free options so I always end up back at black honey. Any gluten free item that I’ve tried has always been very moist and a nice texture (something that is hard to come across).
15/10 would come here every single day.
To the owner: I hope you never change a thing about this place, it’s truly amazing!
I can't believe I haven't posted a review yet for our favourite breakfast spot! Copper Spoons is everything you would want in a breakfast restaurant. It's cozy, but full of regulars and fun banter, the service is fantastic and the food is amazing and so affordable. The owner is always there and always remembers our order, even though we don't get the opportunity to go that often. I recently made the switch to gluten free/dairy free and was thrilled that CS could not only accommodate my diet, but serve the best GF bread I've ever had. There is a reason there is always a lineup out to the street. I guarantee it's worth the wait!
Full disclosure: we had originally attempted to get a reservation at the Keg but they were booked. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Berc’s was far and away the superior experience.
Waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, the ambiance is classic fine dining aesthetic and the meal value is very high for the price.
As a celiac I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of crackers in place of bread prior to the main course; my typical experience is watching my wife eat bread by herself so this was a nice touch.
We had our 7 year old with us and were grateful for catering to his taste with some plain butter pasta that he raved about.
All adults agreed that our meals were excellent too and overall the consensus was Berc’s provided a 5 star experience.
Thank you to the staff and owners for a memorable 40th birthday dinner.
Really great 100% vegan restaurant in a cute spot with great service. The jackfruit bowl was perfect. Everything I saw come out looked amazing. Gluten free/gluten free option items clearly marked on the menu. This place is a must try!
This is a very nice spot for the family or even a group event. There are sooo many different options that there is bound to be something for everyone. There are vegan as well as gluten free options as well. The staff are really friendly and the location is great.
My boyfriend and I love Friday date night at Capra Toro Peterborough.
The food is fantastic and the ambiance is energetic, and fun.
The service is impeccable and the staff is attentive and friendly.
The only negative I could possibly say is the pizza crust could be more authentic. My boyfriend said it was dry and seemed store bought quality.
On the plus side, there are lots of gluten free options for those of us with an allergy, which is such a welcome pleasure.
We are diners for life. 💕
Before I get into this review; I am a celiac and have been attending this location monthly for the past year. This place is AMAZING. The menu options are always a hit, I’ve never left feeling unsatisfied. Also- they are always so great with avoiding cross contamination as my gluten allergy is incredibly sensitive to even the slightest contact. The people who work here are always so kind and helpful with menu options for allergies. Definitely my fav place for a great dinner out in PTBO. 10/10 🙌
Had a new experience dining at Fresh Dreams in Peterborough on Saturday night.
The atmosphere was a little cold and I found the tables too close together for my liking.
The service was excellent, prompt and efficient.
The food was delicious and honestly the best scallops i’ve ever had.
I was not a fan of how the meal was served though. I like to eat a meal with a veggie and a starch on the same plate with my protein.
Instead, at Fresh Dreams, they serve everything separately. Not a fan. I felt it took away from my dining experience.
I loved that they offered a gluten free desert. 😊
Overall, a great experience but I probably won’t be back.
My friend raved about “The Pin” for months! I finally got the opportunity to eat here tonight. I started off with the Caesar salad. The bacon jam was mind blowing! Complemented the flavours of the salad perfectly. There were so many layers of flavour adding so many dimensions and putting a modern spin on an old classic. The steak with red wine butter, roasted veg and potatoes was cooked to perfection. The steak was juicy and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Once again, there was perfectly layered flavours that made my taste buds jump for joy. It ranks up there with some of the best steaks I have ever had! I finished with a cheesecake (gluten free) that was the perfect way to finish this meal. My friends had the duck Wellington and stuffed chicken. Everyone was extremely pleased with their meal. Our server was very friendly, personable and very attentive. He made our dining experience delightful! If you are looking for a wonderful evening out and awesome food I highly recommend the pin!
OMG OMG OMG, finally a restaurant that has creative delicious food. We need this so bad in Peterbourough. We are diary and gluten free and ordered the grilled greens and Ancient Grain Bowl with brussel sprouts appetizer, which all blew my mind and mouth with flavours, new tastes, and yumminess with simple ingredients. Grateful that The EL restaurant from Cobourg opened here in Peterbourough. I highly recommend you check this restaurant out sooner than later. We did take out this time but look forward to dining in as there ambiance was so eclectic and colourful. What are you waiting for, go check it out.
