Staff were excellent about our allergies: I'm coeliac and my wife's allergic to sulphites so eating out is a challenge. Staff were genuinely really accommodating and forthcoming, which was lovely and very much appreciated; the food was very tasty, too.
I had a fantastic dining experience at Ask Italian! Their gluten-free and vegan pizza was a delightful surprise, with a crispy crust and generous, flavourful toppings. It was clear they take dietary preferences seriously without compromising on taste. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A great spot for anyone with specific dietary needs or just looking for a delicious pizza!
I have a gluten allergy and find it incredibly hard to eat out most of the time. Cat was my waitress today. She was incredibly helpful with the allergen menu. I was a bit worried about the crackers as majority of the time they do contain gluten. This time however they were gluten free! I didn't eat the crackers and opted out asked not to have them, as im always a bit sceptical. Great choice of gluten free options and the waitress was beyond amazing! Thankyou esecially for helping me with my allergies and thankyou for accommodating our party of 7! We don't get out much. The service I received today was amazing 👏 🙌 ☺️
Had a lovely meal with friends last night. Although very busy, the service was good and extra attention was given to the guest at our table who is celiac. Food was very good. Only criticism is that there are no gluten free beers/lagers on the drinks menu which considering there were many GF items on the food menu seemed counter intuitive. Hopefully this will be addressed so that we will be able to dine here with our friends again.
We had a lovely lunch at The Lion Inn. Great gluten and dairy free options that are clearly shown on the menu. Servers were very friendly and accommodating to food requests.
I recently had lunch at The Angle Pub and had a fantastic experience. The meal was absolutely delicious, and I was pleased to find a great selection available, even though I am gluten and lactose intolerant. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service from Laura. She was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Thank you, Laura!
Food was very nice, very good for gluten free and also allergies. Our server Megan was brilliant, very helpful and also welcoming. Highly recommend eating here as great value, great food and also helpful.
I’m a coeliac and I had a really delicious meal. It was great to chose something easily instead of risking any contamination. I hadn’t been before but would highly recommend the restaurant with good food, great customer service and colonial decor with not intrusive music. I will definitely go again.
Had a lovely afternoon tea today all delicious, one of our party had gluten free and was delighted to have it on her own tiered cake stand 😁 have regularly had lunch here but first “tea” and not disappointed. As usual high standard of food and friendly service always a pleasure to eat here. Looking forward to my next visit 😋

Noticed the burger and beer offer (Mondays) when walking from the bus. Came back to the Brewhouse for lunch and were glad we did. Welcomed by Lisa, who was very friendly, cheerful and accommodating. Let us taste the beers to make sure we made the right choice. Had cheeseburgers and the vegan burger, with IPA, pilsner and they even had 2 gluten free options for beer. All In all good choice for a day out for family of 5.
Absolutely fantastic experience. I cannot praise this family run business enough. I emailed them and the owner Mila replied straight away . The gluten free options are a game changer. I would highly recommend this fantastic establishment.
Superb food and excellent service.
I whole heartedly recommend eating here if you like Italian food everything is beautifully cooked and looks as good as it tastes. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. It's also a great place for people who need a gluten free menu.
Good place for a city centre cuppa. Offers some gluten free cakes too, which is good - better than Costa or Cafe Nero, for instance. Bit cheeky for their payment system to ask you for a tip though, given that its really only a counter serviced.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with colleagues. Savory and traditional were the main orders but we did order gluten free Celica and vegan too. Good and enough portions were served as per the menu. A variety of tea options were offered. Highly recommended for a quick and quiet afternoon tea.
