A popular place for good quality, tasty, well presented food. Ideal if you have gluten-free, vegetarian requirements as very helpful and accommodating. We chose the specials today with a lovely hot chocolate and an English breakfast tea. My gluten-free friend chose the special...'Crushed Minted Pea and Poached Egg on Sourdough Bread. I chose the 'Shakfhouka': spicy tomatoe & peppers with poached egg, served in a bowl with a nan bread. They were both delicious. It was lovely, flavoursome, and a nice change for me to have a vegetarian dish.
For dessert, my friend had a slice of the 'Naughty Chocolate Cake (gluten-free)', and l had the 'Lemon & Blueberry Cake'.
I would highly recommend Evoke as a lovely place to eat quality, tasty, freshly prepared food.

Bought an afternoon tea voucher for my son and his partner. She is gluten intolerant, my son honed in advance and they went on Saturday. The gf afternoon tea they served was excellent. So many establishments just send out half a meal. The staff at Gluttons pulled out the stops and served a fantastic afternoon tea,even had a gf scone!! Well done to all the staff for their hard work.

What truly made our evening stand out was the exceptional service from our waitress, Laura. She was absolutely brilliant. As we’re newly gluten-free, eating out has become a bit of a challenge, but Laura handled everything with such professionalism, care, and genuine warmth. She took the time to clearly explain the gluten-free options, highlighted which dishes could be adapted, and gave us complete confidence in the kitchen’s handling of dietary requirements. Her knowledge was impressive, and her reassuring manner made all the difference.
The food was, as always, outstanding. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were fresh and flavourful, and it was such a joy to be able to enjoy a full meal without any worry — all thanks to Laura’s attention to detail and the restaurant’s thoughtful approach to dietary needs.
Laura truly went above and beyond, and it’s rare to come across service that feels so personal and genuine. We left feeling not only full but completely cared for.
