This was my favorite spot in town to meet friends for good food and good beer. I've met a lot of new close friends at trivia night. Loved the staff, the entire environment and the overall energy of this location. They had the best Karaage in Denver!!
Unfortunately, I noticed a big change in the energy and quality of the location under new ownership. The food menu was cut to a much smaller menu. They no longer had sports playing. The hours they were open were reduced. The beer used to be gluten reduced and was why I came here (gluten intolerant.) I had an incident last week after going to happy hour and got really sick. After talking to some of the staff I was informed they no longer reduce the gluten in the beer since the new owner took over. You can't just stop removing the gluten in the beer and not even tell the regulars or ppl coming in. Someone could have a serious reaction and be hospitalized. Luckily I was better after a few days.
The new owner has now laid off all the staff and it's turned into an Indian food buffet (yak and yeti.) I went into a yak and yeti one time a few years ago and walked out due to the rudeness of staff, smell and lack of cleanliness of the establishment.
I'm very upset spice trade is gone. This new owner destroyed spice trade. This is a great loss to the community and the memories we have all shared. My heart goes out to the great staff. Thank you for all the great memories! ❤️🙏
Great environment. Service was a bit off: when we first arrived it seemed like we were an annoyance even though hardly anyone was there. We were given dishes that were washed but still dirty with bits of food on them when we sat down, and the lemon slices in our water were old/dirty. When we asked for celiac/GF friendly menus we got only one (not a big deal).
We ordered only one thing as we were already a bit unsure of things. The food we ordered though was top notch (Kakuni Pork Belly). Delicious! Maybe we caught them on an odd day, will come back to give them another shot on another day.
My last trip to the pancake House was a bit of a letdown. The food was uninspired. There are places where you can get a much better breakfast for the same price . With food service and atmosphere all getting three stars. You might wonder how or why I'm giving it four stars. It gets four stars for carrying gluten-free pancakes. They were one of the first in the area and that will always give me a soft spot with regards to them. Nothing there was bad, but it was uninspired. My wife disagrees with this review, she thought it was fantastic. I think what's going on here is my tastes have changed as I've gotten older and can't just scarf down a breakfast of pancakes with syrup.
I was visiting from out of town and didn't realize they were going to be closed for a private function. They were super helpful and allowed me to order just ahead of the group anyway. There aren't many celiac safe places to eat, but I make it a point to visit here whenever I am in town!
I've been ordering from The French Press for awhile (incredible delicious food, great options, lovely service) and have been meaning to leave a review, but I had an experience this morning that had led me to write this. I have PCOS and need to be on an anti-inflammatory diet, so I've always appreciated The French Press for their options. I don't have Celiac or an allergy, but gluten is one of the things I limit to avoid triggering my condition. This morning I doordashed a breakfast burrito with a gluten-free tortilla, some pork green chile on the side, and some coffee. Someone not only noticed I had ordered a gluten free tortilla, but had the care and courtesy to write in big red letters on the reciept stapled to the bag that the pork green chile wasn't gluten free and put the chile itself in a well secured plastic container in the bottom of the bag.
To whomever took the time to see that gluten-free tortilla and write the message about the pork chile not being gluten-free on the receipt - thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness. It may have been something small, but it means the world you went out of your way to notice that. Thank you for bringing kindness into this chaotic world. It hasn't gone unnoticed ❤️
To anyone else reading this review, this is what you can expect when you order from The French Press - kindness, consideration, and some damn good food. Give 'em a try and tip the workers! They're good people 😊
New chef. Everything was very mediocre unfortunately. The burnt ends were dry and just not the same at all. Mac and cheese was not the same and not good either. Very dry also. The sprite tasted like soda water. The tables were dirty. And if you have a gluten allergy, no longer safe. The new chef pulled the gluten free menu down and said he doesn’t confirm anything gluten free anymore. You could tell his demeanor about it was he just didn’t want to deal with it so he just says nothing is gluten free besides the meat. So two meals neither of us cared for and it was almost $50….This is so sad because we used to love it here…..

High-end restaurant with a service to match. Food came out faster than expected before we got our drinks. Everything was delicious and have. A speciality Gluten Free menu. Highly recommend.
Jenny our server in the lounge and she was fantastic. She answered all of my questions, dealt with my quirks and was attentive to my friends gluten allergy. She was honest when she didn't know and gathered the right answers for us. Food and obeisance was great but the service put this dinning experience over the top!!!!
Haven't been in person but have ordered online a couple of times and this food is just phenomenal. GF options have been safe for me as someone with celiac. Prices are quite reasonable.
The team at this location is pretty awesome.
They’ve gone out of their way to remake gluten free items without asking to make sure they’re safe.
The manager is a nice guy. I don’t live in the area but every single time I’m around I go to this schlotskys.
They were so nice. One of us can do gluten and the kitchen staff actually came out to offer different options to cook the gluten free meal so that person could get the best experience possible. 5 stars isn't enough awesome food and better service!!
When I called, the gentleman on the phone told me that there was plenty of gluten-free vegetarian. But that wasn't the case. The gluten-free noodles they had were good though. And the service was exceptional. I wish I could remember her name because she was amazing.
We have been here many many times have never had an issue unless it is very busy and we have to wait even after having made a reservation. That is the only complaint I've ever had. The food is amaizing. Always love the bang bang shrimp they have great fish and chips and I love the new brussel sprouts. They also offer great gluten free options. I just miss the creme Brule. I hope it returns to the menu. Staff is great even when we had a table behind us being extremely rude, they handled it with grace.
I came here for my birthday and was so excited to have such a kind and wonderful server who gave great recommendations. They also had an INCREDIBLE gluten free menu which is sometimes hard to find in ramen and sushi restaurants. Everyone took great care and the food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend for any event or just casual lunch/dinner date!
Illegal Pete’s is the best food in the entire world. Steak nachos are the best. Gluten free options are plentiful. Chipotle and Qdoba don’t even compare.
The grilled Greek chicken salad is worth the trip!! I wish they had more gluten-free options though, including Holidaily gluten-free beer, which is the best gluten-free beer on the planet!!
Quite possibly the best Greek food we’ve had in Denver! Yanni personally greeted us and served us ouzo. Wait staff was fantastic and the food was even better. They were super attentive to my dairy and gluten allergy. We look forward to returning after our next comedy works show!
Great spot! Really good food with great flavors (and good srinks). It's definitely a popular spot with somewhat limited parking in the direct vicinity. It is a bit louder in the place. You walk in and order your food and they bring it to you but it is more of a modernized healthy faster food option. Very accomodating for all kinds of preferences: Meat, vegetarian vegan options, dairy free, and gluten free. I would day this is great for quick bites, families, or a local spot but if you're looking for traditional sit down with full service you may want to keep paroozing. There is wheelchair accessible parking, side walks, and entrance. Prices did add up very quickly but large portions!

A Must Go!! Such a fantastic team and amazing quality drinks and pastries. They have pastries from Labelle (a local authentic French bakery), Aspen bakery, and a few savory and gluten free options from Share Goods and Outrageous Baking. They serve Sweet Bloom, a world renowned roaster and is always delicious. Plenty of seating inside and outside even with some cozy chairs by a fireplace, making it a great spot to read your favorite book or catch up with an old friend.
Delicious and fresh. I have celiac and the staff was extremely helpful in guiding me in how to order gluten free. They even checked the spice mixture to make sure it was safe. The mushroom biryani was amazing and huge portions! Lunch and dinner for two! Outstanding service and great food. I will definitely be back.
This is probably my favorite location - always quick and friendly regardless of who’s on shift. Plus, they always have their (gluten free!) broccoli cheddar soup when most of the other locations never have it past 1pm.
We were visiting from out of town but used to live in Denver and we LOVE Anthony's Pizza! Since leaving Colorado I was diagnosed with Celiac. They were knowledgeable about what Celiac meant and provided options that were safe for me. They won me over for sure with their compassion and care about my safety. We also got pizza for the person who doesn't have gluten issues and they were thrilled beyond thrilled. So good! Excellent choices and outstanding customer service!! My only recommendation would be to have disposable tin trays to cook the gluten free pizza. If you had a tray to cook it on, it would have been safe for me. I would have loved to try it because I am confident it would have been incredible! Even with that said, my salad was fresh and tasted amazing - no negative feelings at all. Thanks for caring so much about your customers! You all are awesome. 10/10 Go to Anthony's!!
Every six months we take a trip to Denver and every trip we stop at Del Frisco's for the Creme Brulee which is gluten free. My hubby has traveled the US and has firmly stated that DF's has the best he's ever had, until this weekend that it. They've changed it and we were both very disappointed. Other than that it's a great place with great service.
went for a drag brunch on a Saturday and it was so much fun! especially during pride month. bottomless mimosas are delicious, you can choose multiple juices to mix it up too. oh, and they have gluten free goat cheese beignents that are to die for!
