Great value and a unique experience. If you eat gluten free, make sure you double check with the kitchen staff that all of the food items (not just the injera) are gluten free.
The place is cool looking and the food was good but our waitress was terrible and extremely rude! I have a gluten allergy, and when I told her, she rolled her eyes. Literally rolled her eyes! I also wasn't drinking because I was driving. I ask her for a big water and again with the eye roll! There were 5 of us and our table was plenty big. I asked if we could pull up 2 more chairs because 2 more friends were joining. You guessed it...eye roll! She then said rudely, "I will have to check and see," and walked away. She never checked. When we got the bill, she added her tip. I guess you can be as rude as you want if you know the tip is going to be added. If I were not with other people, I would have left. Terrible experience.
Wow! What a wonderful restaurant. We had this place on our radar for a while and finally went for Friday date night. We ordered the lamb shank and a tlayuda. Both were very flavorful and delicious. This place has a very fun menu and we will be back soon to try additional items. The servers were very nice and they bring out chips with bean dip for an appetizer which was a fun and delicious change of pace from chips and salsa. This place is very friendly for gluten free diners and items that contain gluten are clearly marked on the menu.
Awesome! This is the perfect restaurant for anyone who is vegetarian / vegan / gluten-free! We went in with a large group. From the veggie stir fry to the fried rice to various phos, all of the vegetarian food that we ordered was amazing! Everything was so fresh, not only the entrees but the piles of toppings like basil, culantro, and bean sprouts. We also ordered several of the boba teas that were gorgeous and tasty fruit smoothies! I highly recommend this restaurant. There is something for everyone!
My daughter ordered a thin crust cheese pizza for me to pick up and I was shocked at how bad the quality was when I opened the pizza box in the car, For one, the pizza was as thin as cardboard paper and it was burnt. Later, when me and my family ate the pizza, we came to a shared conclusion that the pizza tasted like charcoal with gluten. I am very disappointed.
My new go-to for Vietnamese food. Owners and cooks were very patient with accommodating for my friend with a severe gluten allergy. I believe owner also mentioned that, most (if not all) of their food is made without peanuts (they have a family member with a peanut-allergy). I ordered the Vegan Pho, Tofu Bahn Mi, and Shrimp mini-cakes. The plant-based meat used in the pho is definitely seitan but tastes very similar to beef, I could barely tell the difference (vegan meat has come a long way). Everything was very delicious.
I can't eat the Banh Mi (I need to eat gluten free) but I LOVE the other to-go food options, most of which are traditional Vietnamese foods, like rice pyramids with pork (don't know what they're actually called, sorry!). They have both sweet and savory options, in additional to a cute case of macaron (gluten free!). Only rated one star down on atmosphere because they only have outdoor seating and a few small tables in the back. The front feels a little sparse.
