My friend and I tried Tru Pizza yesterday. While we are not GF our husbands are, so we are always on the lookout for gluten-free restaurant options. We ordered a meat lovers thin crust pizza, a veggie calzone and the GF elephant ear. Both the calzone and pizza were delicious. Ingredients were fresh, the crust was spot on, the sauce was a bit bland, but I personally like a pizza sauce with a bit of zing. While the elephant ear was tasty, it was served with vanilla frosting and powdered sugar. I was expecting the typical carnival sugar-cinnamony goodness. This would be a nice option to offer customers. It definitely had a different texture than a regular elephant ear, it reminded me more of a pastry, but was still yummy. We would definitely return. I am excited to try some of their other menu offerings; other pizza options and the gourmet french fries. While it wasn't filthy, I did think the bathroom could have been a tad tidier. I also had to wipe off our table as it had sauce and crumbs on it, but it is not going to hinder my return.

Solid pizza but nothing special about it. The crust is boring and the sauce/cheese are just alright. Their gluten free pizza is better than their regular pizzas (in my opinion)!

Food is great and the service was excellent. It's wonderful to eat at a restaurant and not have to worry about cross contamination for wheat. Awesome gluten free food

Drove from LaPorte Indiana to this place to get GF desserts. Right now I am craving more of those oatmeal cookie sandwiches. Oh I wish we had someplace like this closer to us it was a four hour round trip when all was said and done but very well worth it. My son has celiac disease and I just can't make a good gluten free dessert. These were amazing!
