Sat down at our table and a server immediately came over to ask for my drink order. I did not have time to look at the menu yet and needed a minute. I wasn't sure whether I wanted an alcohol beverage or a fountain drink. The waitress scoffed and came back to take my order.
I asked for a gluten free menu and was provided one. The toast was priced at $5.10 for two pieces of bread. That felt extreme but I wanted bread with my salad.
I ordered a Greek salad which was a generous size and was tasty.
The butter and jelly stand provided did not have enough butter in it and I asked a manager for some. This was met with what was perceived as annoyance for asking.
I think that it was fair to ask for butter for bread I was paying $5 for.
Our server did well with making sure my drink was filled but offered limited interaction. I don't feel like she spoke much to us until it was time to leave.
Based on this experience and the price on gluten free options, I don't think I'll be back. While I understand gluten free items cost more typically, that price gap for 2 pieces of bread was more than I've ever noted eating out gluten free.
Very complete menu with many options listed including your possible allergies, your choice of levels of vegan and gluten choices. Fairfield sorry for the waitress as she struggled to fulfill everybody's food idiosyncrasies.
Zeppe’s is one of our favorite places, whether it’s just the two of us or we’re with a group of friends. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable. I’m gluten-free by necessity, and that can make dining out difficult; but Zeppe’s waitstaff and kitchen have never made me feel like a burden. Even though they don’t have a dedicated GF kitchen, they know how to take precautions and they are so welcoming to my dietary needs! Zeppe’s is an easy choice!!
My daughter is gluten free and they did an amazing job of avoiding cross contamination! I didn't even have to ask, I just informed them of her allergy.
100% recommend this place, especially for those with allergies!! They are extraordinarily careful and reassuring about no cross contaminations. Members of my group were allergic to nuts, celiac, and vegetarian and everybody’s food was delicious. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere and staff is very friendly. Can’t recommend enough!!!!!!!
I just ate the best chili in Summit County. Chunky, beefy, nice balance of meat and beans, not overly sweet or spicy, not bland, not under-cooked, a little smokiness. Excellent. Whitey’s is now second best. We also had some delicious burgers, gluten-free pizza, bbq brisket fries, drinks. All good, friendly service. But this is the best chili in Summit County.
We met Cailee on this lovely Monday! She was awesome! Great beer selection, and gluten free cider/drink options as well. We didn’t try any food, BUT the portions we saw looked grand. Thanks Cailee for all the hospitality!! We will be back to see you again!
This place is great for either a casual lunch or a nice dinner date. The atmosphere feels nice without feeling pretentious. The place is very wheelchair accessible with on street parking. I had the lamb and the beet and goat cheese salad and they were both fantastic! They also had a great gluten free cake. I told my husband I was leaving a review and he said I only needed one word - yummy!
Stopped here on our way home from hiking in the valley. First time here and it was awesome. Beer and the pizza were both delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Snowed In Milk Stout. We also ordered a gluten free pizza and loved it! This place has a great causal atmosphere with an outdoor patio and friendly staff. We could immediately tell this was a community staple with how many patrons were in and out during our visit. We will definitely come back.
