Food and ambiance were amazing. Our server was knowledgeable, unfortunately they do not have a dedicated fryer, so no Celiac safe chips or fried plantains. I got the birria arepa and all the sauces were gluten free. Would definitely eat here again.
As soon as we walked in and saw only 6-8 dining tables with mismatched chairs, we knew we were going to be in for a treat. This place is owned by a husband and wife team. He was working hard in the kitchen so we didn't get a chance to chat with him, but she was running front of house and was super friendly and personable.
There's a few street parking spaces available directly in front of the restaurant, and some residential neighborhoods with plenty of street parking available (free and metered) within walking distance.
Dang Good Foods is a serious Cleveland hidden gem. It's worth the trip for the roti prata alone. The menu perfectly describes it as a combination of naan and a croissant. It is perfectly flaky and chewy. It's served with a side of curry to dip it in, which was unbelievably flavorful and delicious. One bite and we were sold. This is the same curry served in other dishes on the menu, which I look forward to trying in the future. The deconstructed crab rangoon dip with fried wantons was also delicious.
For an entree, I got the char bee hoon (stir fried rice noodles). I like a medium spiciness, but decided to try it at the baseline spice level of 1/10. The sauce was light and flavorful, not spicy at all. Next time I would try the 3/10 spice level.
Dang Good Foods offers a lot of vegan and/or gluten free options, and many dishes can be altered to suit dietary needs. The pride flag hanging in the window was a great indicator that they are kind and welcoming to all. We hadn't even gotten our checks yet and I was already texting friends that they needed to come eat here. We will be back many times!
I have celiac so everything I eat has to be gluten free. Their gluten free pizza is the best I have ever had!! Kudo's to the staff and manager for outstanding food and service!
Locally owned and 8 years in service, Voodoo Tuna is a can't miss spot in Lakewood, (especially if you are gluten free).
I ordered the strawberry limeade yuzu mocktail, perfectly balanced fruity and citrus notes with seltzer water. I had the smoked salmon nigiri and the bluefin roll for my meal.
You could genuinely taste the freshness of the fish in the salmon and tuna. This is the first sushi spot I've been to in Lakewood, and I don't feel the need to try others.
The atmosphere of the restaurant has a modern flare with Asian lantern-inspired light fixtures and exposed panels on the ceiling. The interior decorating is engaging but not overstimulating. Murals, traditional folding fans, REAL plants, and other artwork adorn the walls in an eclectic way that blends together perfectly.
The owners are SO kind and professional. I had the pleasure of meeting both of them during my visit. They are both gluten free, so gluten free patrons can feel confident that their dietary restrictions are kept in mind. In addition, they have many items GFA or GF on the menu, and tamari is available.
Overall great experience - I will definitely be back and will be recommending this establishment to friends! Can't wait to try more items on the menu. Thank you!
It's so nice to have a celiac-friendly restaurant to dine in. There isn't a separate gluten free menu, but most items are GF and every ingredient is labeled very clearly. Also, the food is really tasty. Something for everyone.
Had Donatos tonight after a very long day of cleaning our basement after a flood. Anyway we thought we'd try it because they have a gluten free option.
I ordered 2 pizzas and a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi.
The who process was weird I ordered online and when I checked out - 1 of my pizzas was removed so I had to place 2 orders. - because I was grubby from Cleaning, I opted for the drive thru pick up. So I go to the shop and out in the back parking lot we're 4 men standing - I don't know if I thought they were smoking, or if they actually were....I approached the window and a bell stayed ringing - then one of the guys comes up to my car and asked my name. I told him, he rang me out for order 1, by handing me a little credit card machine, then he went to get my pizza - at this point I put my credit card in and rang myself out - I found it odd that he was no where around and all of a sudden the cash drawer pops open - I mean if I were dishonest I could have reached my arm in and taken the cash drawer - this process happened with both my orders.
Then he hands me my pizza and a 20oz (not 2 liter) of Pepsi - since the Pepsi was $3.99 I reminded him that I paid for the 2 liter.
So now onto the pizza
1) the gluten free pizza was good, but the edges of the crust was burnt - I mean it was black and crispy.
2) the regular hand tossed pepperoni pizza hand only a handful of pepperoni, certainly NOT edge to edge, the sauce was so sweet and tasted like green peppers. And the middle of the pizza was raw / I ate 2 pieces and tossed the rest of the pizza.
The Pepsi was good!!!
There are so many pizza places in Lakewood - literally go anywhere else except Primoz and you will be better off.

not accommodating to those with gluten allergies. showing gf on menu simply has to be for show. out of gf buns an hour after ordered and food was already made. manager and staff do not know how to deal with customer concerns.
We had a great experience eating here. The owner took the time to tell me what was gluten free (most of the menu was gluten free). The food was great and everyone left happy. The owner even sat down with us and talked for a bit. Really great dinner and will definitely be back.
Recently grabbed lunch as I seen they have a gluten free burger bun option, and always gluten-free fries (youd be surprised)
Food was timely and delish, service was kind and very responsive.
Order came out perfect. Burger was perfectly tempted.
Portions were also generous and my bill was still under 20 even with adding truffle and gluten free upcharges.
Definitely recommend to any gf or non gf people. Nice assortment of choices on menu. Including vegetarian and vegan.
Spending a few days in Cleveland and wanted a lake view dining experience. Pier W was the answer 100%. The excellent food and service was tied with the beautiful view of the lake. Lots of seating with a lake view. The Halibut special was outstanding and modified for my gluten-free diet. Kevin, our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back.
First time here it was my College Graduation dinner with my two grandsons and I was amazed beyond belief. Gluten free Zitis Bolognese and a limoncello margarita perfect not a tall glass just the perfect size. I believe it was the owner or the manager that came to our table and talked to us to make sure everything was going good. Special occasion graduation day and he paid for my dinner. Thank you so much did not expect that to happen. Definitely will be going back.
Recently had Woodstock catering for a family reunion. We had a family member with celiac and Woodstock did a great job accommodating the need for gluten free food. BBQ sauces that were not gluten free were clearly labeled and all meat products were safe to eat. Great experience and, of course, the food was well received as it was absolutely delicious BBQ!
Their burgers are very good and they have some interesting combinations. The one with egg salad on top is delicious. Large beer selection, though their wine and the one mixed drink I had (a margarita) are not great. If you can't have the beer (I have celiacs disease, and get the burgers without a bun) they do have some really nice ciders available including some that are not sickeningly sweet as so many are. Also the site of a poke gym if you're into that kind of thing.
We arrived on time for our reservation. And had to wait for the hostess to come inside from her cigarette break. And the menu states gluten-free. And the friend I was dining with ordered one of those items. But it came out and it wasn’t gluten-free. And then we got a lecture and we should’ve told the staff that we were gluten-free. And then the chef overheard us and sat down the table next to us and decided to stare at me.,,, Like uncomfortably stared at me with a death glare and repeated what I just happened at our table and was criticizing what I had said… Which was if the menu states is gluten-free why do we have to tell you we are gluten-free. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant in my entire life at a restaurant.
34 minutes to get our first round of drinks.
