Hat Creek Burger Company
3700 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665, USA
Our group were in the patio for almost a private setup. We all like how quiet it is so we can still hear each other without screaming. Our servicer was super attentive and helpful, brought gluten free menu, refill ahead of time, checked on us to make sure we get everything. It was a very comfortable lunch for my group, we will definitely go back again :)
Best pizza I've had in the Austin area since moving here in 2017. Not only was it delicious, but it seemed so well-balanced and healthy too!
I ordered gluten free, and was assured that they use a separate pan for baking and even have a separate marinara and spoon for the sauce!
I'm so happy that I tried this place!!
This was our first time trying Indian food . Steven was so so kind and helpful in explaining the menu and helping us understand. We loved it all and will be back again to try other gluten free options .
Great food, amazing service from Tanner. We are huge fans of their wings and my kids love their gluten free pizza. It can get a bit loud when full but overall the food and service are great!
This burger is very solid for a regional chain.
My wife is gluten free and they have gluten-free buns which she said are all right but they can also make their french fries gluten free.
The did was great as always. Our server, John M, was amazing. He knew the menu and ingredients very well and as soon as I asked about dairy in the cole slaw and potato salad he immediately told me that the means are made with butter and made sure I knew exactly what I could and couldn't eat and made sure our meat was sliced on the gluten free board. He was attentive and made sure we had refills quickly. He noticed our motorcycle helmets with us and asked if we were able to take our leftovers with us. He made our meal very enjoyable and was great to chat with.
One of my new favorite restaurants to grab a quick bite to eat. I am gluten free so I will order my burger protein style and it is the best lettuce wrapped burger I’ve ever had!
Pretty solid burger, fries and milk shake. Gluten free bun was an extra $2.50 and sadly it disintegrated and fell apart like most other buns. Next time I'll just do the lettuce wrap. My husband really enjoyed the strawberry milk shake. I would have preferred strawberry ice cream over syrup but it was good and not artificial tasting. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean, though the water dispensers were really slow or near empty.
Passing through Round Rock Texas and wanting to round out our taco tour of Austin and environs brought us to this Torchy's Tacos location. The menu says "Damn Good Tacos" and for sure that's what we got. There are 2 vegetarian options, helpfully labeled with big, obvious, green "V's" on the menu, including an Avocado taco and the "Mofaux." (Though I'm sure they can modify any of the other tacos with the Beyond Beef they use in the Mofaux if you want.)
I had the Mafaux, both because it was fun to say, but also because it had all the southwestern flavors I wanted, plus I had them add cheese to it as, why not!?. It was delicious, hearty, and I wanted to eat a million more of them.
Their default tortilla is flour, which was also fantastic, but they also offer corn tortilla as a choice in case that's your preference or you're gluten-free.
If I found myself in Texas again...Torchy's would definitely be a stop I'd make to get the Mofaux again.
Waffle Love in Round Rock, TX, is a fantastic spot for a Saturday brunch, offering a cozy yet lively atmosphere. While it can get a bit noisy, especially during peak hours, the friendly service and welcoming vibe make up for it. The menu features a variety of sweet and savory waffle options, all made with their signature Liege-style waffles, which are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
One of the standout aspects is their gluten-free waffles, which are just as flavorful and satisfying as their regular ones—a rare find for those with dietary restrictions. Whether you're in the mood for a classic waffle topped with fresh fruit and cream, or a heartier dish like their savory chicken and waffles, every plate is crafted with high-quality ingredients.
The combination of delicious food, reasonable prices, and a fun atmosphere makes Waffle Love a great choice for a casual yet memorable brunch experience. If you're visiting on a busy weekend morning, expect a bit of a wait, but rest assured—it’s worth it!
Lots of gluten free options! No mandatory mask requirement at the moment yet 95% of people in line had masks on last night, 3/13. All employees had masks on! Great food, helpful employee at check out. Spendy /:
We went there on 30th June to have breakfast. I ordered a traditional breakfast consisting of two over easy eggs, 2 chicken sausage patties, potatoes and a gluten free toast. The breakfast came with sour cream and a jam. My wife ordered a Tri Fecta that contained two over easy eggs, one waffle, and three chicken sausage patties. She ordered the potatoes separately.
We enjoyed every bit of it. The eggs were nicely done, loved the sausage patties, waffle was super good, potatoes felt like it was made at home.
Our server was a very nice person. The environment and the ambience were good. They didn’t take much time to get you the food after you order. Because it is very reputed breakfast/brunch destination we couldn’t just go and sit. We had to be in the waitlist and after around 20 minutes we got to sit. But the wait was worth it.
Charming spot to catch up with friends. The frittata lorraine was fantastic and came with a nice salad. (Also magically gluten free! :). Free refills on coffee too.
Solid spot to come have pizza and wings. They have a great gluten free crust that seems different than all of the other places. Kayla took care of us with the hospitality. Only draw back is it's a tad expensive but well worth it.
I went through the drive through at this Schlotzsky’s and ordered 2 gluten free pizzas and a large sandwich combo meal, $37.00. I got home and discovered I didn’t have gluten free pizzas, I called the restaurant and spoke to a nice young man named Ricky, who said he was sorry and would fix the mistake if I wanted to come back, I said I would be there in 15 minutes, he made the 2 gluten free pizzas. When I got there the woman who said she was a manager and also the person that took my order said I owed them $5.37 for the gluten free crusts! I asked if she was kidding, I’m making a 10 mile round trip because you got the order wrong! She said you never said for sure that you wanted gluten free. Again, are you kidding? I most certainly did! She said Sorry I have to charge you! I asked for the manager, she said she was the manager but refused to give me her name. I asked for a refund and she said she deleted the whole order, we’ll see. I can’t believe they wasted 4 pizzas and had such awful customer service over $5.37 that came from their mistake in the first place! They just lost a good customer. Make sure you check your order before you leave this location.
Bezhat was my husbands and i’s server. He was too kind and very knowledgeable about the menu. My husband has celiac disease and this is the first time ever we didn’t have to be up charged for the gluten-free bun. It was just considered a substitute bun! Thank you Bezhat for being so wonderful! 🙂
This was ready and delivered super duper fast...like almost immediately. I love that their miso soup is gluten free, which can be hard to find. I ordered a rainbow roll, and it was 10/10 delicious. My husband thought the spring rolls were too small.
Good Stuff meat cooked to order and had my first lettuce wrapped burger. Kind of like a hand held burger salad. Gluten messes with me so a great option and you don't feel all bloated after 👍
Father's Day was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was Dean and he and the manager made sure that my wife who has a gluten allergy could still enjoy our appetizers by cooking the brussel sprouts in fresh oil and providing gluten free bread (which was great) for our goat cheese fondue. The drinks are always great and my son and I had the best shrimp and grits. We finished with the Whiskey Cake which is also a definite must have.We will definitely be back on a regular basis and take pictures next time.
We went again for date night on Veterans Day and had the Goat Cheese Fondue, Deviled Eggs, Farm salad, Bone in Pork Chop, and Shrimp in Grits. I took a Whiskey Cake home with me. All were great and we managed to take a few pictures before we consumed the dishes eagerly. We will definitely be back.
I had the pleasure of my first visit to Cafe Java, a couple weeks ago. The food is fantastic I was really truly surprised in fact it is the best little Cafe here in Round Rock and Hutto on Gattis school side. The waitresses are so friendly, courteous, polite and funny it has a wonderful feeling being there. It is very very busy and you have to pick your time right I would say mid morning thru mid afternoon, because early morning there is a line outside it's that popular.
I look forward to going back in the late afternoon to try their other dishes, and they do offer some gluten free dishes too,as I am a celiac and I had no problems with their food.
AAAAAA+++++++
Am gluten free, have always liked schlotszkys previously. Was disappointed, all they had to offer was salad, albeit nice salad, garlic toast on side nope. If I wanted gluten free only bun available very small. I was disappointed.
My family loves their food especially because they have gluten free options. I posted a picture of the kitchen because these are some of the hardest working people around and it is reflected in the quality of their food and the level of service they provide.
Super attentive manager (who looks like Paul Wall) went table to table the entire time we were there ensuring food and service was good with everyone. Pricey for fajitas but they were good.
Gluten free menu is lacking - they need to add fajitas that are not veggie-only to it, as well as chips and salsa.
Fast service and tasty pizza. Their sauce isn’t too sweet and tastes fresh, and the gluten-free crust is good. They also have good allergy protocols in place for celiac.
Great place!! Staff is very friendly. Takeout is nice and warm even when getting home (15 min away).
I have gluten allergy and haven’t had an issue… great to be able to enjoy great food! Portions are also pretty good.
I was happy to see the staff had a reference for gluten free items. There is much more there that is gluten free that is not written on this board but it seems there is a point person in the kitchen who knows. For example, I asked about the rice and was told it was gluten free and vegan. This is super helpful for people with gluten intolerance. Thanks! P.S. The chips and salsa are addicting.
Stopped in at a in between lunch and dinner time (Linner lol). The food was really good. I ate outside and was a very nice day. Service was excellent. I have some food allergies and they made sure I didn’t order anything that I could not eat. Lots of Gluten Free options too. The Vegi Pakora being gluten free was really good as was the dipping sauce. I have not ever had it before and I loved it.
I had the lamb curry and it had lots of pieces of lamb and was very good. I got medium spice level and it was great. Had a good after burn but at a medium level.
Seems it is patio Dog friendly. Also smoker friendly (I don’t smoke) but just letting you know.
The waitress was great and pleasant. Explained all the dishes I had questions about as I had to make sure I could eat it. Thanks for the good food and great service!!
Ok if you haven't had their cheese curds you need to. Burgers were great! My wife had the gluten free bun good a little dry but she loved she could have a regular burger. They forgot my bacon on my bacon cheese burger.... they fixed it it was fine I am assuming it was a one off. Will be back. :)
We are gluten-free. The menu had the gluten-free items marked. I got Strogonoff de Carne. It was delicious! Or server was very knowledgeable and made sure we knew what was in the items (since we're gluten-free). We will definitely be going back to this restaurant.
