A lovely little Italian restaurant: Pizza and Gnocchi Bar. We shared a few plates of Gnocchi and a pizza in biancho (not tomato based). Between 3 of us. Absolutely scrumptuous food within an absolutely delightful atmosphere. Plenty of different sauces to accompany gnocchi. Simple, yet genuine, tasty yet not over the top. Little pillow puffs that were soft and light...only 10% flower and gluten free apparently. Coming from an Italian background, we do make home made gnoccli from scratch. Despite Gemma's rendition being different they were very appetising and lovely to eat. Probably one of my favourite dishes to eat at home and I never order them when dining out as it's rare to find them so good.
The porcini pizza was in bianco as I've mentioned. Subtle flavours with the essence of truffle oil which is my favourite. Absolutely very yummy. The base was was light thin yet fluffy around the crust. It can be made with a gluten free option if you prefer.
The chef also provided us with arancini as an entre. I absolutely loved them...hope they get back onto the menu in the future. The green chilli oil was also an excellent accompanyment to our meal especially with the garlic focaccia.
As far as service goes, it was exceptional during our dinner. Thankyou and I look forward to the next dine in experience.
Great vegan food with plenty of gluten free options. The carbonara was utterly fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed the massaman curry. Everything my friends ate also looked exceptional. Food came out very speedily and it was a very chilled out atmosphere. Highly reccomend.
Nice coffee. Unnecessarily expensive, though. Only place in town I’ve seen charging a 20% holiday charge or $30+ for most breakfast options. Also over the top fees for non-dairy milks ($1.20) and gluten free bread ($5)…
Large group had the banquet. Our server was absolutely amazing.
Vegan food served me was so-so, no gluten free bread for the 2 GF ladies. Pizzas more like focaccias. Walnut pesto pasta too much pepper. Duxk ragout not a fave of the group. Over priced (very small) drinks at $22 each. Then hit with Fri night "surcharge" also charged a cancellation fee for one of our party who had her eye punctured that day and we showed the evidence of the medical emergency. Somehow the $60 we were quoted turned into $70 with the nasty surcharge, add a tiny drink and you were paying nearly $100.
Will not be going back.
Paid $41 for a gluten-free pizza. Very expensive for what it was, flavour was average. Not enough sausage and garlic sauce was too salty and served in a plastic container.
We had a booking for 7 today at lunch. The staff were absolutely fabulous; very friendly, accomodating and warm. Service was impeccable.
Food was quick and delicious. We had a member of the group who has coeliacs and they thoroughly enjoyed the options.
We are reminded why we have come here for food many times before. Great experience, great people.
We ordered 3 different types of bibimbap via Ubereats. They arrived quickly. Absolutely delicious, most authentic and tasty that we've eaten. Also, catered for gluten free by ringing me and telling me the only item that was not gf was the soy sauce so they put all sauces on the side in separate containers. Awesome all round. And they're close to us, we'll be ordering again, for sure!
Trina and family have turned this into a wonderful place to enjoy breakast and lunch. The menu caters for a variety of tastes, with lots of gluten free options. Plenty of drink choices, excellent coffee. The service is fast, the staff are friendly, courteous and skilled. Enjoy also Trina's collection of indoor collection plants. Best cafe in Rathdowne Street.
I had a delicious açai bowl and matcha drink with condensed milk - they were so goooood!! Plenty of options to choose from on the menu. I really appreciate the gluten free muesli option for açai as well 💜
The staff were also really sweet 🩷
