Amazing gluten free meal prepared by the warm and gracious host and chef. I was delighted to get a gluten free pasta dish but I was blown away by the gluten free tirmasu.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Rocco restaurant in Fossacesia and I must say that the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment I entered, I felt the warm and familiar welcome of the staff, who showed particular care in meeting my dietary needs, given that I am gluten and lactose intolerant. I ordered the kebabs and a focaccia, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. The kebabs were cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, with that touch of authenticity that only traditional cuisine can offer. The focaccia, despite being gluten-free, was light and crunchy, a real delight for the palate. Every detail has been carefully taken care of: from the detailed explanations on the gluten- and lactose-free dishes, to the impeccable presentation of the dishes. I felt safe and at ease, knowing that all my intolerances had been taken into consideration with the utmost seriousness. In conclusion, my experience at the Zio Rocco restaurant was extremely positive. I ate very well and was impressed by the professionalism and kindness of the staff. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quality cuisine with an eye for food intolerances. I can not wait to come back!

The gluten-free pizza is good even if it has a ready-made base. There are no chips or gluten-free appetizers but only bruschetta ("if the kitchen hasn't run out of bread"). It's disconcerting in 2023 when staff ask you what level of intolerance you have when it comes to celiac disease...

I spoke to the owner via Instagram because I live abroad and I absolutely needed to organize a hen party. Very kind and very helpful, he organized everything down to the smallest detail, and we had a great time! We had little time available but we had a great time, excellent food and what can I say, gluten-free is sublime! the pinsa was delicious! there is so much variety and I really absolutely recommend it. I would like to give more than 5 stars but it's not possible. Thank you so much for everything, I hope to return to you soon to taste the rest of the menu. Thanks again to the owner and the Argentinian girl behind the counter, thank you thank you thank you!!

I had lunch in this lovely restaurant in Roccascalegna in the province of Chieti and I was truly deeply impressed and happily satisfied. The food was truly excellent, starting from the appetizers, with the cacio e ova pallotte reigning supreme, but also many quality cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by local honeys and jams. The first one I ordered with mushrooms and truffles was also excellent, as were the drinks. There is also a wide range of vegan and gluten free options. Prices are also really super, as is the wonderful welcome and friendliness of Nicola and Valentina. Civico 20 is not a simple restaurant: Nicola and Valentina like to call it a Risto Art Gallery, where you can find photography exhibitions displayed within the walls of the restaurant and where cooking workshops, themed literary and food and wine events are periodically organised. Highly recommended.
