Best gluten free restaurant we've found in Yorkshire. It was great being able to enjoy 95% of the menu, rather than 5% of the menu. My wife and I had an excellent meal and the service from the staff was superb.
Big selection for lunch. Able to cater for a gluten free diet. I have coeliac disease and found out their waffles are suitable for me as all waffles are gluten free so no worries of cross contamination!
We enjoyed a wonderful two course meal here on Sunday evening. The food tasted exceptional and the choice of gluten free was really impressive across both the mains and desserts (I am sure starters were great too). Our waitress, Charlotte, was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you
My fault but didn't see the sign on the door saying card only. Cash is king in my books. Clean and friendly place and exceptionally dog friendly. But I ordered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on gluten free toast. The toast was un buttered and of very poor quality. Also my partners toast with his full English breakfast was rock hard. I asked for cheese on toast for my dog but they said they didn't do it, so I ordered 2 slices of toast for him which was un buttered and rock hard at the cost of £2. Totally over priced and of poor quality.
This was very disappointing as it's a lovely little place.
Friendly, attentive service. Lovely food and reasonably priced. Excellent vegan selection (and also gluten free). Extensive drink selection and desserts (shame we were too full to try them).
Very popular place, highly recommend 😁
My family and I ate at the quirky farm bistro today for lunch.
Firstly, the owners were extremely friendly, accommodating and very attentive, we really enjoyed chatting with them during our time at the bistro. Supporting local businesses is our top priority when dining out.
They are also dog friendly.
We required gluten free and vegetarian options, the menu accommodated our needs and there were many options available for us. The food was hot and delicious, we would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere independently run, with great customer service/owners and excellent food!

A comfy friendly pub right next to the main station. A great place to wait or meet a friend.
There is a long bar and two areas, one more secluded and comfy and the other alongside the long bar.
There’s a good selection of the usual draughts and a few local brews, even a gluten free beer on-tap - so you’ll definitely find something.
Food is mostly crisps and sandwiches - which look pretty nice and filling (also come with crisps).
Staff are friendly and accommodating - happy for me to grab some gluten free food (only crisps in the bar) nearby and eat it with my drink.
There’s power under some of the tables - not sure about WiFi but was able to hotspot and kill a couple hours (and beers) before our train.
Amazing food and service, staff were incredibly friendly, especially Bobby, he was so attentive and was extremely helpful, friendly, kind and accommodating to my food allergy, a great selection of food (including some gluten free options) and a fantastic atmosphere, definitely recommend! (Also very fairly priced, nice big portions)

Great choice of Gluten Free beers! One on draft that was delicious and several available in cans chilled. Staff were helpful and knowledgable on which were GF or contained low levels of Gluten.
Lovely lass prepared a non-alcoholic drink off the cuff for my girlfriend which was much appreciated and enjoyed.
The many dogs in this bar just make it a heavenly place to be!
Great atmosphere, great staff and they allow dogs. They have gluten free beer on tap, which is great.
However, they don’t do gluten free food, the previous reviews are incorrect. The menu says “if you want a gluten free pizza ask us”, I did and they said the gluten free pizza is prepared on a flour surface and placed on the same cooking surface as the regular pizzas. They do fries, but they are cooked in the same oil as the dough balls, so aren’t gluten free. So major toms isn’t a place you can eat if you are gluten free (coeliac), but if you are just gluten reduced, you could possibly be fine.
So this is a great bar to come to for drinks or food, if you have no gluten free friends. If you are gluten free, remember to eat first or you will be hungry or sick.
As a beer lover, to have to go gluten free was heartbreaking. It has been made far easier by 17 miles who have a great gluten free beer collection and knowledgeable staff about allergens. Will definitely be back!
The building and the decoration is amazing. Lovely atmosphere. Really liked the way it looked inside.
Staff were great; friendly, helpful and attentive but not pushy and didn't check in too much.
Food was fantastic! Everything was cooked just right! Portion sizes were good. Good gluten free options. Left feeling full and content.
Not somewhere we could afford to go every week but not too expensive either.
Definitely will be back. Lots of the menu that I'd like to try.
Delighted to find the Mucky Duck. My friend had the mucky duck pie and said it was ‘so good and delicious’. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and a gluten free beer! Delightful!! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming will definitely go again.
The staff made me a lovely Gluten free sandwich of my choice from scratch. They also discussed at length all my Gluten free options and I left with a gorgeous Rocky Road cake and a cookie. Thanks

Great pub, friendly staff, good gluten free food and very dog friendly. We enjoyed a family afternoon in the pub, with our teenage children, while it was raining!
