Nice place to eat, clearly labelled vegan and or vegetarian and or gluten free foods. Good enough standard. The cauliflower wings were sold out, so too were the cashew nuts. Took 40 mins to receive our food after our 2 pm booking and food order. Seems like a nice place to go for afternoon tea?
Went for an early mid week tea. There was a separate Gluten Free Menu with plenty of options and the allergen handling was clearly explained, I ordered a smoothie and the staff member made sure all the equipment was swapped out before making. Food was delicious and speedy. Items were also clearly labelled with allergen markers which was reassuring. Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu!
The gluten free menu here is HUGE! The lounge restaurants can be found in every major city and there’s something for everyone. I usually go for lunch and have a gluten free sandwich. Their bread is cooked separately and so are their fries. The staff are great with allergens.
They have some lovely gluten free brunch options available and a dedicated gluten free toaster for the bread. We go here every other weekend for brunch.
They have a gluten free menu, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are very careful with coeliac disease and made sure my food was cooked separately.
7 of us had dinner last night about an hour before closing and the staff were wonderful, really helpful with gluten intolerance and talking through options.
Food was delicious
This is my absolute favorite place in Manchester. I came here while visiting from the US and everyone in my family loved the food. My daughter has celiac and cannot eat gluten and this is the best meal we have had in a very long time. The arepas were so full and fresh I wish I had more time to try others. We had the chicken and the beef and both were phenomenal. We also ate empanadas and they were some of the best I’ve ever had.
Not only was the food amazing but the service might have been even better. They were so accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten allergies and ensured we had a great experience here. I can’t say enough how amazing Mia’s Arepas is and highly recommend to anyone in the Manchester area. Thank you for making our family trip even better with your delicious food!
Went for the breakfast and it was as expected: very good! Make sure to come early or to book a table (I don’t know if they take reservations) because it can take some time to get a table. Of course there are several vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten-free!
We had a lovely time at Namii, after I was gifted a voucher by friends for my birthday. CC and our other server with the bright pink hair (apologies forgotten your name) were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. CC offered to take pictures of my partner and I which was appreciated. The food was delicious, and I was gifted a free dessert as I said I was here with a voucher I received for my birthday. Several meals looked great, and they are very accommodating for gluten free eaters like me, and vegetarians/vegans
Although they don’t advertise gluten free, most of their menu is naturally gluten free. They are amazing when it come to cross contamination, and they do have gluten free crackers available for one of their sides.
Had a lovely gluten free afternoon tea with my friend.plenty to eat and had two pots of tea.would recommend to go.very friendly staff and happy to help.
It was our first time here for a family meal and it was fantastic. The pub is lovely, the food was delicious and service excellent. We were looking for somewhere that had a gluten-free menu, disabled access, and catered for vegans. The Fletchers had it all, and my son was very impressed with the extensive GF menu, as often at other restaurants, he has had very little choice. Highly recommended, and we will return.
We hosted my partner's 30th at the Longford Tap (2 doors down and would also recommend!) and had pizzas from Bakehouse for the event. Everything was delicious and went down so well that I went back 20 mins later for 5 more! I nipped in a few weeks before and then sent a preorder through on Instagram and the staff were really helpful with my allergen queries. Everything was ready promptly for collection and the additional pizzas were done 10 mins after ordering them. Can't thank you guys enough!
P.s. If you were able to bring back the gluten free options that would be incredible!
We come here regularly and always take our friends here when they come from out of town. Food is amazing and staff are incredibly friendly and informative. Great for veggies and gluten free.
We picked Sam’s Chop House for our first night in Manchester and it was the perfect choice. We wanted some proper local food, plus one of our friends has a gluten allergy, and they promised on their website they could accommodate it—which they did, no problem at all.
The food was amazing and came out quickly, but what really made the experience was the service. Our waitress, Jaye, was an absolute gem—super friendly, attentive and even took the time to give us some great recommendations for drinks afterward, even if the restaurant was packed and we noticed she was super busy. As tourists, that extra touch made all the difference.
If you’re in Manchester and want great British food with top-tier service, this is the place to go. Couldn’t have asked for a better start to our trip!
Spencer is always friendly and polite and looks after us. When asking for gluten free options he was knowledgeable and very understanding. Love the staff here, make us feel at home & welcome.
Everything on their menu is 100% gluten free. They are stationed next to a pizza stand so they do make people aware that there could be flour in the air. I’ve eaten here a number of times and been fine. They’re the best tacos in town.
Absolutely delicious gluten free food that's tasty healthy and very reasonably priced. Rang up the restaurant to confirm our order was gluten free and they happily reassured us it was. Eaten here plenty of times now and will always highly recommend!
Good service at this busy restaurant.
Great food too. I think the spice level is toned down for the local palate. They also cater for vegans and gluten intolerance, so everyone can go and get some tasty food
Came here for a birthday dinner. Place is spacious with a very nice ambience. The drinks menu has quite the variety of cocktails, I can happily recommend the Dark Cherry Cosmo and the Passion fruit Mojito. We had mains and desserts. Most upper £10s to low £20s with streak obviously pricier. I got the swordfish and it was delicious! Very good value for your money. Dessert was a Spiced Pear and Almond Tart which was also delightful. There is a decent selection of Gluten Free options and some vegetarian/vegan options. Slight wait on the main meal but it was somewhat busy and they were very apologetic. The car park is a little small so street parking might be needed. I would highly recommend for a fancy dinner/date night or even just a couple of cocktails at the bar. Will be coming back!
Haven’t had food here, but if you’re looking for gluten free beer, you’ll get some at here. It’s really nice beer too, not like the ones you get in the supermarket.
Served by Daisy who was fabulous! Very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. However our friend who was coeliac, and unfortunately some of the menu items that were designated as GF were unsuitable for her! Bit disappointing. Otherwise the food was fabulous and the atmosphere is lovely!
Really good food, cocktails and great service from Nic, especially accommodating to a gluten allergy! Both her and the host were really understanding and explained everything really clearly. Desserts were given free as an anniversary gift which we really appreciated!
The Staff and service was excellent.
Will consider going back especially catering for people with Gluten and Lactose intolerance.
Accommodated alternative as Gluten was an issue for me.
The Staff came with a Surprise for our wedding anniversary meal.
Viet shack changed management a while back, and since then they have sorted their allergens out. They have an allergy guide and the staff understands cross contamination risks and what coeliac disease is.
Went here for relaxed lunch on the basis of the gluten free recommendation which we needed for two out of the four of us (one coeliac, one wheat allergy). The drinks were great and the food good when it came, but don't think I'd badge this as gluten free friendly unless the advice has changed since our visit: the coeliac diner was told that although there were GF pizza bases and options to avoid them if on a strict GF diet owing to cross contamination. The wheat allergy dîner could get away with it as it's not contamination that's the issue (so could have GF pizza for instance). All GF diners know cross contamination is a potential issue when dining out, but we were surprised at the advice given as -usually when GF options are available - this indicates it's safe for those avoiding gluten. Considering this is the top gluten-free recommended place on Trip Advisor, it feels a bit misleading. Aside from that comment, the food was good and the drinks too: was just a shame as we went with the view of catering to everyone (and had the coeliac diner in particular in mind when booking!) so just be aware.
