We travelled to this area whilst on a visit to the U.K. and stumbled upon this pub as we were looking for gluten free options. It turned out to be a huge discovery for British gf treats but as an added bonus all the staff were lovely. We would recommend this pub to anyone who finds themself in Winchester.

Went for Sunday lunch today, 20th August 2023. The food was excellent and the service was divine. One issue with obtaining a Gluten Free meal was flagged by the staff and immediately alternatives were presented. A minor issue was that the cutlery seems a bit aged and struggled a bit sometimes, it could do with a refresh. Having said that, there is nothing that would stop me visiting again for such a delicious meal. P.S. the puddings are pretty spectacular.

Fantastic place to visit for food and drinks. Exceptional food and quality local produce. Friendly staff and lovely location. Caters for gluten-free and plenty of free parking. We really enjoyed ourselves and had 3 courses it was that good! It has a lovely shop too!

Absolute gem by the river! It was quite crowded but service was fast. Tasty Sunday roast and they serve gluten free options too! Beef roast was the best 👌🏻

Visited on 30/08/23 just for breakfast. Two of us and one in the party required Gluten Free bread for toast. The waitress asked if I was Coeliac when asking for GF toast. Very impressed. Lovely little shop and cafe.

Lovely meal with friends. Our sever Jack did a great job. As someone who has to eat gluten free I was delighted to have some choice, although a little more would be nice. All our food was beautifully cooked and we can definitely recommend The Old Forge.
