horrible service. i ordered a blueberry muffin and the person next to me ordered one a minute after. they had me pay for it and then told me they were all out and gave it to the person. this was after waiting in line for 20 minutes. the staff has absolutely no manners. if your looking for good gluten free food with good service save yourself some time and choose a different bakery.
they also do a horrible job at making accommodations. i ordered myself an omelet and told them i could not eat mushrooms and they gave me an omelet with mushrooms. then got annoyed and took another 20 minutes to make me a new one. and it was undercooked and smaller than the actual serving size.
Great place for dinner, food was tasty, drinks were great. More than that the place is Gluten free friendly, we have celiac and waiters were very knowledgeable, knew about cross contamination, and recommended accordingly on dishes that will suit us. Gluten free sushi!!
We were not ready for the phenomenal service and great drinks. The food was delicious and easily marked for gf (perfect for my wife who has celiac).
Definitely try the wings with buffalo sauce (the yuzu touch makes it bright and tart), their coconut shrimp (divine and gf!!), and their bison burger (cooked perfectly through and through).
Watch the video, see the presentation on the drinks. My wife loved her Mai tai, and my whisky drink which I cannot remember the name of, was fabulous in all the ways.
Make sure to ask for Aaron, he was awesome and made wonderful suggestions. And then go for a beautiful stroll down the pier when you’re all done. It’s a perfect introduction to Santa Barbara.
We live in LA! We were visiting Solvang & came upon this resturant on our way back, because of its gluten free options specially the Fish & chips & calamari. I haven’t found many restaurants that offer gluten free versions of these two dishes. The salmon & burger was outstanding too. We really wanted to try the food but the kitchen was about to close when we called. The resturant manager “Carlos” made an exception to still serve us last minute & take our orders. He provided us with 5 star service & made us feel so special & made our night. He is by far the nicest most understand & caring resturant manager that I have met. We will definitely be back & loved the place. Thanks to Carlos!! One good person can make a huge diffrence & we are super grateful & appreciative. Highly suggest this place.
Crushcakes is an absolute gem in our community. Their support of local events, like our pickleball fundraiser, shows just how much they care about the people around them.
They are always welcoming, inclusive, and make everyone feel right at home. The iced matcha is one of my favorite go-to drinks, especially in the summer when you need something cool and refreshing.
I also really appreciate their gluten free options. It's not always easy to find treats that taste amazing and still fit dietary needs, but Crushcakes nails it every time. They make sure no one feels left out, and that's something truly special.
Had a fabulous meal here on the patio, which was very peaceful on a Friday night. By contrast, the interior was very lively, crowded and noisy. Great food. Wonderful, friendly service. Favorites were the crudo and beef carpaccio. Least favorite was the chicken paella but only because the amount of paprika was overpowering (I’m not a paprika fan). Looking forward to visiting again. Very easy for celiacs and gf eaters.
The atmosphere is really nice. I came here to try the quiche and gluten free baked goods. The blueberry gluten free muffin was quite small and mildly flavored. I got a much bigger and better one at Helena Ave Bakery.
I read the reviews raving about the quiche and I don’t get the hype. It’s a slice of a basic quiche. It’s nice the crust is gluten free but it was quite thick crust and the quiche was not freshly made…maybe it was fresh from the morning, I got there around 10:40am. But it was reheated and cold in the middle.
Loved the food, atmosphere, and our server Zack was amazing! I am gluten free and Zack was very knowledgeable and reassured me that he would take every precaution to ensure my meal was gluten free. We got the ahi tuna crudo, butter leaf salad, and catch of the day which all had excellent summer flavors and were the perfect portion sizes. Definitely recommend.
My wife was looking for a gluten-free pizza place and found it on Google. We didn’t realize that we were in an area in Santa Barbara called The Funk Zone, which was a very neat area that was very lively and fun to experience. This place has a walk up window where you order and all seating is outside. The food was very delicious, and it was just a nice atmosphere overall.
Popular restaurant and bakery in downtown Santa Barbara. Great place for breakfast on the weekends. A wide variety of Danish baked goods along with some other non-Danish items. Some gluten-free items also available. All the baked items I’ve tried were good to very good. Depending on the item, you may be able to ask for a small taste before purchase.
Many items available by the piece for dine-
in or takeout, as well as entire baked items such as pies, cakes, and large pastries. Special occasion cakes can also be pre-ordered, such as birthday cakes.
Indoor and outdoor dining available, with outdoor dining being a good place to people watch as this block tends to be somewhat busy with pedestrian traffic. Parking available via multiple nearby public lots off of Chapala Street and Anacapa Street. Boutique shopping also available in the nearby La Arcada shopping center.
Santa Barbara Fishouse is a standout spot for fresh, flavorful seafood. The Macadamia Nut Halibut and Sesame Wonton Santa Barbara Fishouse is a standout spot for fresh, flavorful seafood. The Macadamia Nut Halibut and Sesame Wonton Crusted Mahi Mahi are favorites, but the octopus is an absolute must-try—perfectly tender and seasoned to perfection. Paired with oceanfront views and a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere, it’s ideal for any occasion. With friendly service and diverse menu options, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices, this restaurant is a gem in Santa Barbara.
Solid place for gluten-free and regular pizza. We love the dry rub wings! Salads are huge. There's a back patio, and space for larger groups. Plus, the staff here are incredibly kind. No it's not downtown, it's a neighborhood place. Makes it even better. Try their special pizzas! 😋
Although I'm giving this 5 stars, the inside noise level is too loud and the french fries really need some improvement. Service was definitely good and I appreciate the staff being familiar with gluten issues.
I cannot complain, and hope more people start going here. I ordered an amazing Gluten Free Crust, Hawaiian style pizza (The Meigs Rd Pizza. Soft, charred Neapolitan crust with tangy BBQ sauce, succulent ham, crispy bacon, juicy pineapple, and sharp red onions with a sprinkle of freshly chopped cilantro. I replaced the babecue sauce with their tasty marinara sauce, along with sliced jalapenos.
You can order their different pizzas with any of their crust options. They also have appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and I think she said they have pasta, or are hoping to start serving pasta dishes soon. There are TVs near the bar area, so you can watch your favorite team.
As of now (May 2025), their beer $7, and wine $9 (and champagne) are cans and bottles. If I counted correctly, they have 20 tap handles, but the entire system needs repairs. Let's help them and give them our business, and hopefully they will be able to get the taps & lines repaired soon
I cannot say enough about this tasty pizza & great service. I really wish I could eat wheat flour again; Because their deep dish pizza looked amazing, and was screaming my name. The owner said she would like to try and learn how to make gluten-free deep dish. Maybe one day I can have one from them.
The server and the owner were both absolutely amazing, and I cannot wait to eat there again. I live 2.5 hours away, and found this place just because they were open late, and had a gluten-free crust option. I have to be down there again this Thursday for work, and I already know where I am going to eat.
We really enjoyed our meal & celebrating our 20th Anniversary dinner! We had the gluten free pasta with Alfredo & the egg plant rolatini and they were both delicious! A big thank you to Brandon, our waiter who made the evening nice & shared a great hiking spot recommendation. Which we did go on the next day!! Thank you Chase Restaurant we felt safe & had plenty of space!
This is good food and cheap. As I am gluten intolerant I could eat taquitos and have some nachos. This dish costed 7.50 dollar. Friendly staff and they worked very quickly.
Coffee so so. Lots of options for sandwiches, all of which can be made gluten free and are pretty good. Smoothies so so but somehow just the thing sometimes. Tons of baked goods options, all of which have been pretty good. They sell out most days
Ambiance cheerful and busy. Lot of space inside and out. Big windows. Parking on site
Every time we go to Santa Barbara, California we make sure to stop by this Delicious restaurant. It has wonderful vegan and gluten-free meals that are filling. They are always kind and generous and guiding us to which are the best vegan and gluten-free for our needs. The creamy items are not too milky like in other Indian and the vegetables are cooked where they're still slightly crispy and not too limp. One has the option of how hot and spicy they want their meals from mild all the way to extra spicy 🔥.
Loved the food and the hustle and bustle here! Our bartender Julio was great and we had a lot of fun! On top of that they were very knowledgeable about allergies and I was able to get a meal that was gluten and dairy-free!
The sweet (manzanita) and hongos empanadas and aragula salad are excellent. The empanada dough has all the right firmness, thickness, and taste. This is the first time I have tasted Argentinian empanadas and I highly recommend Buena Onda empanadas. Also, Brandon, our server is very attentive and patient about checking the ingredients for my friend who can only eat gluten-free food. This restaurant really deserves a five-star rating.
My husband loved the spaghetti and meatballs and wants to go back every week! I really enjoyed the salmon on the special. (I am gluten free and always grateful when normal orders are naturally GF). Sides were impeccable and the desserts were delicious!
Great location at the end of the pier, had a nice experience! I need to eat gluten free and they were happy to accommodate, I had the lobster taco which was great.
