What a breath of fresh air! Augusta has been sorely in need of a place like this. The food was unique and delicious, and best of all, we have dietary restrictions, so to find a place that is attentive to preparing food that is SAFE for patrons with food allergies, diet restrictions and celiacs is wonderful. We spoke to many of the staff and servers and they are by far the most friendly people you could meet. We enjoyed our dinner out, and can say with confidence, RUN don't walk to SolFood Kitchen, you will have a great time!
You can get just about anything your friends can have but gluten-free so you don’t feel the FOMO! And when ordering in person, the staff make sure to ask if it’s a preference or allergy so you feel safer knowing they actually care
Went there for lunch with a party of 8. There wasn't enough room for us to sit together inside so we were seated on the patio which is not ideal during pollen season but the outdoor tables and seating had been cleaned pretty well so it ended up not being too bad. They did have outdoor heaters that they turned on at our request. The service was professional and polite.
The food was better than expected. They had gluten-free options. I had the JNN Classic Pulled Pork with two sides of fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was actually cold and fresh, which doesn't seem to happen often at restaurants. Fresh fruit was strawberries, blueberries and green grapes. The pulled pork was generously sized and was moist, but didn't come with much sauce. The children's meal came with a drink and had nice sized portions.
Regular pizza was delish, they do have a gluten-free option pizza which has great toppings but the crust reminded me of cardboard so it wasn't half bad. My spouse had the merry prankster with the garlic aoli sauce and said it was tasty to the max, a must try.
They are very friendly and have been very helpful when it comes to my dietary restrictions and make sure that it doesn’t have fair and gluten in my food when they serve it.
Stopped in today for a breakfast with my daughter who has celiac disease and requires gluten free options. She had the peach bourbon gluten free pancakes and I had the colada french toast. My dish was delicious and my daughter loved her meal. Great service and it was not our first time here and won't be our last!!! If you want great service, great environment and DELICIOUS food stop in! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
I wish for more variety of bread and gluten free items and sugar free breads. I enjoyed the overall experience but I wished my focaccia was warmed for me when it was served to us.
First time visit tonight, we ordered the corn cake tamales as an appetizer and they are delicious! Gluten free as well! The mahi dinner was amazing I didn’t even need the pineapple salsa (which was great) or lemons to eat the fish. Baked potatoes were cooked perfectly. The floor manager Q was very kind and helped us replace my dad’s steak after we ordered it wrong- for gluten free steaks order without the seasoning(!), and helped with our hurricane drink which tasted very extremely rum-y. FYI if you don’t like your alcoholic beverage they can remake it to your taste but it does not come off of your bill so be careful with what you order but the drink menu is very impressive. Our server Jacob S was fantastic as well. Definitely going to become our family’s go-to restaurant because of the gluten free menu and the food is delicious.
The food was authentic and delicious. The music gives a Caribbean feel. I recommend this to people with gluten allergies and dairy allergies as well as those that just love good food.
Great little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Augusta. They graciously substituted their gluten-free roll for my bread on the toast I ordered, and it made it almost like an English muffin. The coffee was great, and I loved the googlie eyes on the coffee dispenser.
Delicious drinks and food. As someone with celiac it is always really scary to try a new place but I had zero reactions to the food, which is a rarity in Augusta! New favorite in town.
I received a warm welcome as I walked through the door that carried through the whole experience. This place is brand new and very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my gluten free sandwich was free of cross contamination. The operations / marketing manager (may have that title completely wrong) was so kind to me and his staff. Wish I would’ve asked his name. Very grateful for all that he’s doing for the community with this business.
Great food! Great variety! The owner understands gluten free and can easily advise on the options. One of our party is celiac and can confidently eat here! What a find!
