Gluten free! No inside seating, so if you are buying a hot and ready item you'll be sitting outside or in your car to eat. Took someone with celiac there, they got to have their first chicken tender, churro, and onion rings in years. They were delish, with a lot of flavor in the breading.
The food, the atmosphere, and the chef are amazing. We came here because my parents looked for a restaurant in the area that we could go to despite gluten allergies. They had such a great time chatting with the chef that they encouraged us to have a family dinner.
We were blown away. My daughter ate 3 massive servings of the jollof rice. My son loved the plantains and chickpeas. My wife and I enjoyed the fufu with chicken peanut butter stew.
There was another couple there that said they had been going to the restaurant for4 years and they were delightful. Looking forward to trying the greens and the Kathi Kathi chicken the next time we come - which will be very soon.
This was just what we were looking for for lunch!
My girlfriend has a few food allergies, the biggest being gluten intolerance, and man did this menu have options for her! Normally going out, there's only a few things, most salads, but here she had so many choices, it was great to see her torn between what to get! She got one of the stir fry, and said it was one of the best she's ever had!
Food aside, the service was fantastic! This place always looked busy, and today seemed to be another case of that, but our server Linda was on top of it! Going from table to table with ease and confidence, having amazing customer service, and was just overall great!
Pretty easy to say we'll be going back :D
Love this small, woman owned business. All Vegan menu with gluten-free options. The staff is always friendly and pleasant and for such a small shop, they're always hopping. I've never NOT enjoyed my visits here.
Love the food and the service. The servers hustle and never leave you waiting. One of the best cheese steaks around with the BEST toasted roll. The crab pretzel exceeded our expectations. They also have gluten free options.
The 2 young ladies I spoke to were so sweet! With me having celiac, they made sure to clean the area, change gloves, etc to not cross contaminate with the gluten free bread! Rare occasion for me as I'm not from around here!
I love this coffee shop! I am not a coffee drinker, but I love the smell of coffee (which this coffee shop smells great) and I love their iced chai. Even when it's crowded, it is normally not too loud to focus or have a conversation. I really enjoy the turkey, brie, and apple panini and they have gluten free bread/bagel option (and they specify for allergies so that there isn't cross contamination)! I stuck with just an iced tea to drink today while doing some work. Shout out to Craig who always makes coming here the most pleasant experience! He checked on me multiple times and refilled my iced tea so that I could fully focus on my work :)
This is not a great place for people with food allergies. I’ve had several issues in this regard.
My wife has a tree nut allergy. She had an almost immediate allergic reaction after eating…tater tots. At first we were very confused, but after checking the menu closely, we saw that a different dish contained fried nuts. Apparently they have one shared fryer that they use for anything for fried. My wife was sick the rest of the night.
I on the other hand have a gluten intolerance. They mark items on the menu that are gluten free…but 90% of those items are also fried in the shared fryer. So, they’re not actually gluten free.
The wait staff has always been great the few times I’ve been here, but they really need to address how they handle dietary restrictions better.
Service was friendly and fast, my food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed their lattes. My vegan and gluten-free friends had good options. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Frederick!
I have Celiac and haven’t dined out in months. I went to FireBirds with my daughter tonight and was very impressed with the care that the manager took upon learning I had Celiac. He came over after our original waiter seemed annoyed and impatient with me. He doubled checked that was I ordered was safe . The lady at the front was also a sweetheart, she let us move tables after my daughter told her what happened. Our new waiter Markell was a doll, very attentive and friendly.
The meal I had there was the first real meal I’ve had in weeks due to complications from my disease. I would recommend going for the tasty mashed potatoes & sirloin steak, and also if you also have a gluten sensitivity or Celiac:)
Anchor Bar recommended by a friend so using their web site, I sent 2 separate messages a week apart inquiring about Gluten Free options. I have yet to get a response so I called during business hour with no answer and the voice mailbox is full. What kind of place is this that can’t follow through??

Noodles & Company in Frederick offers a diverse menu featuring a variety of noodle dishes from around the world. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a good spot for a quick meal. Customers appreciate the range of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The staff is generally friendly and efficient, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While some patrons feel that the prices are slightly high for fast-casual dining, the portion sizes and quality of the food often justify the cost. Overall, it's a solid choice for those craving a hearty noodle dish.
We were greeted by 2 very friendly young ladies. They were very personable and went out of their way to verify ingredients for someone who has celiac disease! My avocado toast was delicious! In addition , my sister who is gluten free said her egg sandwich was amazing!
Stop by and grab a pop. Sit down for a great hotdog and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. Great selection of hard to find candy and some surprising new candies. They also have plant based, gluten-free candy and chocolate. Might be something for everyone.
Bengie makes this location far better than the others. My daughter has celiac disease and he is always very attentive to our gluten free needs, to include avoiding cross contamination. He is awesome!
The place is nice and amazing. Plenty of options to choose from, this is one restaurant that I would recommend for vegan or gluten free. Lots of options. They also sell wine and beer. Staff are very kind. My favorite was the hazelnut latte very good. All items looked to be made fresh 😀! It is on the more expensive side but definitely worth every dime.
Adorable cafe in downtown Frederick that made you feel like you were in a French cafe. The strawberry pistachio latte was delicious and just enough sweetness. I was so pleased to find yummy gluten free waffles on the menu. Thanks for the great treat!
Nice local lunch spot that isn't a chain. LOADS of options. Would be nice to have Gluten Free options called out on menu board. Would also be nice to have menu and sign posted just outside door explaining process (order under menu board, take ticket to register to pay, they'll call your name on other side of where you ordered)
Made a lunch visit/sat at the bar solo for a bit after a morning seminar in their private room. Never been there before, but was larger inside than I expected, with a nice bar area. The gluten free pizza (pictured, extra cheese, bacon, and olives) was quite good! Will be back with the husband to check out the happy hour and dinner scene another time soon.
Jen the server is so kind and amazing. She always remembers my name and ensures my order is lactose free, gluten free, and to my taste. She's the best! Tons of gluten free options labeled clearly on the menu which makes it feel safe. We love the Pho and the Thai Ice tea boba tea! I get take out which is fast and healthy and we have family dinners and it's clean and welcoming. Will always go back.
Not the healthiest food but it is delicious. White pizza with a cheesy meatball on top is really good. Everything is authentic, the marinara and tomato dishes are delicious. Love the sausage and peppers on giant garlic toast. Great pasta dishes. Everything is good. Also just found out they have a gluten free menu.
Went here for our anniversary and everything was wonderful. There were plenty of gluten free options for my wife and our waitress Morgan was great. Highly recommend the crispy artichokes and the crème brûlée.
My bf loved the fish and chips. The fish had a nice light but crisp fry. I had the rainbow trout special (gluten free) with persimmon salsa, delicious! Staff was friendly and the chef visited our table to answer ingredient questions.
