Had an amazing meal at mate cafe. I have coeliac disease and they were able to cater well to this and were very well educated on cross contamination. I felt very safe eating the food because of this. The food was delicious and flavoursome and very reasonably priced. The owners were so kind, we had a great chat! We wish we could have come here again during our stay in Hoi an. This place really surprised us - the food here is really delicious! A huge selection of unusual dishes that we hadn't even thought about before, but they turned out to be very, very tasty.
A separate plus - many gluten-free options and incredible desserts. The portions are large, everything is fresh and filling. We ordered a banana cake - it was very tender, and also bruschetta, boli and falafel - everything is simply delicious.
The atmosphere was also pleasing: pleasant music plays, you can work on the computer, they serve delicious drinks. I especially liked the kombucha here.

We are Americans traveling Vietnam and the world. I have celiacs disease (an allergy to gluten) and many Vietnamese dishes are naturally gluten free but tonight we were in the mood for something different.
I saw, by reading reviews that gf dishes were marked on the menu of this restaurant so we walked over to it (a couple of miles).
We were greeted by such friendly employees and they were helpful ordering but the menu also states what’s gluten free.
Honestly, some people are ‘afraid’ to eat gluten free because they think it has no taste but that’s not the case! We shared a Greek salad for an appetizer (the portions are a good size) and I had chicken on a skewer and French fries and my husband had a country chicken dish with French fries and we were treated to some delicious dessert. I had white wine and my husband had beer.
The chicken was succulent and well seasoned and my husband said the same about his dish. The French fries were crunchy and good and we each had some small veg. The Greek salad was out of this world but more importantly I felt safe.. that wouldn’t be glutened.
Everything was delicious and we were so happy we went. The owner came over and introduced himself and was very nice. I strongly recommend you support this little restaurant. The owner is from Greece and it seems very authentic!

I did a cooking class here and I couldn’t recommend it more! I was greeted by a very happy and enthusiastic Laura who took us around the market which was amazing to see. Our chef Toan did a great job of showing us how to do each step and Laura was great at explaining everything and made sure we got photos along the way. I have a gluten allergy and it was no problem at all for them. I loved learning about the food and culture from Laura and Toan and really really enjoyed my morning. We are Americans traveling Vietnam and the world and the food here was very good. We’ve missed salads and I felt very safe eating here.
The food is very fresh, reasonable the owner speaks very good English and has a very good understanding of allergies. He told us about a customer who came there twice a day for months because he couldn’t trust other restaurants with his allergy.
If you are in Nha Trang, and are looking for a healthy alternative, at a very good price I strongly recommend you come here. Unfortunately I only took one picture because we both ordered a steak salad but my husband had a watermelon juice and I had pineapple juice and they were delicious too!

Went for lunch today and could not be more disappointed, my friend is gluten free so we asked about available options and were told she could have the poke bowls. She declined the marinated egg as it was in soy sauce and then we hen she received her bowl it was covered in teriyaki sauce which is not gluten free. My tuna bowl was also advertised as gluten free but was coated in teriyaki sauce so was also not as described. Staff obviously have no idea what gluten is and did not respond when we asked about it. Aside from the gluten, the food did not taste good at all. Wouldn’t recommend

Visited 3 times during my stay and enjoyed each time. I am a celiac so finding a place that feels safe to eat is important. After showing my celiac card the staff took the time to make suggestions to ensure I was eating gluten free. The food was tasty and well priced. As a solo traveller the hostess took the time to engage with me and remembered my visits. She had excellent customer service.

Eating at Cozy restaurant was easily the best food experience I have had in Vietnam. I live with celiac disease and upon presentation of my card the server took the time to read and study it . She then took this to the manager and advised the chef. The staff were very caring and understanding and made suggestions that were safe for me to eat. I was starving and ordered a starter and a main - both were huge! I hadn’t felt full during my entire 2 weeks in Vietnamese but did last night - I ordered the Hue special pancake (delicious) and the bbq pork rice noodles with vegetable and peanut sauce - superb! It was a wonderful meal made better by friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommend for anyone - but those with gluten issues can eat here feeling the staff will
