Wonderful vegan thali platter! Every dish on the platter is delicious and unique. We always order extra roti as it only comes with one piece. It’s a great spot for sharing dishes and they can accommodate larger groups.
They also offer lots of gluten free options, and the celiac person in our group felt accommodated and felt good after eating (they are obviously careful with cross-contamination).

We ordered via Ubereats for a work lunch and I cannot say enough great things. They had gluten free and vegetarian options and were great with dietary restrictions. They also labelled everything, making it easy to sort out who got what. Oh, and the food was absolutely delicious!
This is one of my 'go to' places downtown. Always a great place to eat, drink and be merry with friends and family. Warm atmosphere. Friendly and helpful efficient staff. Good food and now the menu gives the caloric value of each item. Very helpful for diet conscious folks. I was pleased to find many vegetarian and gluten free options. Great beer selection on tap.
It was my anniversary. I emailed several top restaurants in the city. I had 5 criteria. I chose Beckta because of their quick and thorough response to my inquiry/criteria. I was not disappointed in my chose. We had a 5 course blind tasting omnivore menu (excluding dessert, of course) with wine pairing, and all gluten free, as requested. We had tuna, scallops, boar and duck. What a great selection by the Chef. The ambiance was great. Exactly what I was looking for with plush seats (old school). I look forward to returning.
Amazing Service and good food! We arrived into town later and needed to find a restaurant that served gluten free food! They kept the kitchen open a few min late to make sure we were able to have a meal! As a bonus the food was delicious!
Great place for a summer's evening patio dinner, or anything to suit your palette. The restaurant also catered to dietary requirements, which was a must in our group as two members were either lactose intolerant, the other had gluten issues. We were a large group from a MeetUp event, enjoying the pleasures of open air dining and conversation. They offer a wide variety of beers, wines with their menu offering great choices as well. Try it out, especially out on the patio
My wife and I were lucky enough to be strolling by Riviera last night when we noticed the patio was unusually quiet. This place is typically packed. On a whim we stopped and had dinner.
The service was very good. We started with a plate of fresh oysters and the best steak tartare I have ever had. It was served with homemade potato chips which suited my gluten intolerance perfectly. We each had a cocktail - mine a whiskey sour (impeccable) and my wife had 'La Dolce Vita' - an upscale nod to the Venetian spritz.
For mains my wife had the lobster spaghetti, which she very much enjoyed. A very generous portion of lobster. I had the halibut with morels, fava beans in a wonderful sauce. We each had a glass of wine.
The Steak Frites seemed to be a popular dish on the tables around us - though neither of us regretted our selection we both commented that this would have been a great option.
A beautiful dinner, with spectacular service. I only give the atmosphere 3 stars due to us being on the patio.
Thank you, Riviera. We will definitely be back!
Food was good . Salmon was done excellent.
But the service was extremely poor. The only person who really was keen to make our dinner good was the bartender.
The waitresses - one was older lady , the other was young one - never brought what was asked . I had to go to the bar to inquire about our order .
The older waitress ignored us like were were some kind of beggers from the street , even though we stayed at the hotel.
The bartender went beyond his duties to get our order and bring us food.
The chef and the barterner made sure my food was gluten free. I would give 5 stars for that.
5 stars all the way. I asked about gluten-free. The staff was quite knowledgeable.
The menu does NOT have symbols showing gluten-free, or any other dietary restrictions. It's an Italian restaurant. I ordered what I thought was a gluten-free chicken dish. The menu description doesn't mention "breaded". The waiter pointed out that this particular chicken breast was breaded and contained gluten, and suggested another.
That chicken dish was excellent, in a mushroom tomato sauce. Well spiced. A few vegetables on the side. It looked amazing and a little lite, but in fact, I didn't finish it.
We each ordered a glass of red wine. No special. Their basic red is not every else's basic red. The wine was delightful in its own right.
Amazing food that surpassed expectations. Good gluten free options and had the best mojito mocktail ever. The service was excellent as well. Delightful!!!
Great gluten free options. The Taco salad is particularly good. The staff are nice. It's located in the "new" and beautiful food court called Queen Street Fare. Relax by the waterfall while you enjoy your tasty organic lunch. A little pricey but, when you're done, you'll find yourself saying "that was so good!".
