Booked for two, dinner. Warm welcome, excellent table facing the sea, nice atmosphere. Well prepared food (also gluten free, see photo), decent wine by the glass. Two unsolicited suggestions (I apologize but I have to make them): 1. do not charge for anything not explicitly ordered — the gluten-free schiacciata was brought as part of the service charge, i.e. together with the bread... hence the appearance that it is included in the service charge... ambiguous and to be avoided (it is not a question of money, even if it cost 1 euro the concept does not change: clarity); 2. the sauces for the fried squid and calamari should be proportionate to the quantity of the dish — the latter is OK (see photo 2), but even eating a little pro-squid sauce, after three calamari the sauces are finished... (unpleasant to ask for extra). Good and kind service; make sure not to confuse "seriousness" and formality of the table service; the second can go, if you really want, the "seriousness" not if at the expense of the pleasure and informative effectiveness of the interaction. In short, perfectible in the details but certainly recommended.
1 star (just because you can't put ZERO)
One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant.
We went to L'Atmosphera in Lido di Jesolo with a reservation for 14 people at 8:30 PM. Even though we were on time, they made us wait outside until 8:45 PM, below 40 degrees, without any explanation or apology. Once inside, we discovered that there was no air conditioning. It was unbearably hot, like being in an oven.
My uncle, who is slightly overweight, was sweating and gasping from the heat, visibly uncomfortable.
We had booked a single table, but they split us into two separate tables. They brought menus to one table, nothing to the other. Confused, slow and disorganized service.
Out of six pizzas, two arrived wrong:
– a gluten-free pizza arrived without the requested cherry tomatoes,
– a pizza that was supposed to be lactose-free was served with, because they apparently didn't even know what was in it.
And as if that wasn't enough, our little cousin's pizza arrived after half an hour, when the others had almost finished. He was only 7 years old and had to wait alone.
Disappointing experience, chaotic and not suitable for families or groups. Highly not recommended.
Never again L'Atmosphera.
They serve gluten-free pasta and pizzas.
The staff is very knowledgeable about them.
The pasta in the photo is gluten-free!
The restaurant has very modern decor.
I can highly recommend it.
I had the gluten-free pizza. Since they use a ready-made base, you can choose any type of topping.
Excellent alternative if you go out with friends and there are people with food intolerances.
The waiter was very correct and professional: he told me right away that they are careful during cooking but there could be a risk of contamination since the oven is the same for gluten-free pizzas.
Given that I never tend to give negative reviews, this time I can't help myself. Two of us ordered a pizza and spaghetti with clams for celiacs. The waitress (the oldest of the waitresses) says: "since she has celiac disease, we will bring her some bread to accompany the focaccia-type pasta". Which is not required also because you never eat pasta plus bread. We don't say anything because it's passed off as the classic bread basket they carry by default. At the end of dinner the oldest waitress always asks if we want dessert. We don't because we're okay. He's here and starts saying "come on, we also have dessert for celiacs". To which comes my austere no. Now comes the fun part: we go to pay and they charge 7.5 euros for this phantom bread for celiacs. So be careful with the older waitresses because if you intend to spend a certain amount of money she will then take care of you with Olympic gyrations and make you leave with a much higher bill. I hope that many people will read this review: "smart" ones that, I believe, don't pay off in the long run.
During our recent stay in Jesolo, we had dinner at Abbazia most nights. Food was delicious, staff friendly. I am celiac so need to follow a gluten free diet - they have a wide variety of gluten pasta that celiacs can enjoy(I certainly did!) Would be lovely to see if they can make gluten free pizza one day... Maybe next year??
